The real trick is psychological. Notice he chose the last option for each question. Also they were the words spoken with the highest inflection. The suit is probably irrelevant, since the box looks big enough for four decks.
Vor 23 MinutenAlex Jones
The trick is the BOX.. 1. Dude was forced to pick a face card 2. The selection becomes smaller so decks can be placed in the box. 3. Who tf cares what I am saying, this Magician is a Genius.. well done

Haa! I like how the entire time he never ends up actually revealing how any of that was actually done.(the wheel thingy with the magnets and whatnot was cool, but had nothing to do with there only being the King of Clubs in that deck.)

This is just a guess, and I'm also not in any way an expert. I don't even think he twisted the mug on the spot that actually turns the mechanism. But I also think that the wooden box didn't even have a trap door. They took it away, they never showed you what's inside it. And the way he asks the question. The guy was always just giving the last option. Until he changed his mind to clubs anyway. I think, there may have been multiple decks of cards in the wooden box. Maybe at least one for each king? There could've just been two decks of cards, one blue, one blank reds, and quickly slips the right blue card into the red deck before picking it up.

Best guess: Card pick - Can't tell if it's a force from numbers/face cards. Maybe. Wooden box - Has all cards (whether only faces or full deck) + blank deck + trick card box. He grabs the blank deck quickly but not quickly. Maybe half a second. Which is him picking the card, placing it on top of the blank deck, and closing the trick card box. Trick box - It's a trick box because the King of Spades is "in" the box, on the top position. With a normal box, no way he can do insert it in half a second. But with a trick box it's easily possible. He handles the box carefully. Before playing around with the box itself, he "locks" it. King of Spades - It's on "top" of the deck and you can see him rifle through the deck and move it from the top to the middle for the reveal. Then assistant takes both the wooden box and the trick card box away. Rest of the act is showmanship.

He never set the coffee mug on the spot where the magnet is until after he took the table cloth off. Why would you need the bottom of the box to open? Remember, "everything on stage is part of the illusion. Nothing is innocent." The clear box and table are distracting you from where, and when, the actual trick took place. Potential Spoiler Alert: I am guessing that there are 52 blue cards in the wooden box, notice that they are smaller and could fit in the box sideways, and he palms the correct one when he pulls the deck out. It just takes him a little too long to pull that deck of cards out of the box for it to seem natural to me. They real trick is the whole "I am showing you how it was done." routine. I was a misdirection to keep everyone, especially Penn and Teller, from analyzing the actual moment the slight of hand occurred.
Vor 3 TageDark Røsé
He show us how it can be done but still keep his trick he done as a mystery.
Vor 3 TageDon Williams
The deck starts with all blank red cards. At 2:02 he makes a double move to insert the one card he needs. It's a very quick movement and allows him to insert a card he has selected from his person. This is made easier because the card box is cut away so he can more easily make the move. The blue card peeks out from behind the pack at 2:02-2:03 so he didn't even have to put it inside the closed pack. We can't be sure but it's likely that the unseen side of the card box may not be complete, also making the move easier.
Vor 3 TageDon Williams
Modification- I now believe he picked the "correct" card from the wooden box along with the blank deck with the necessary opposing color. This replaces my phrase above "from his person". I stand with the remainder of my comment.

I'm not gonna lie in the beginning I thought that the trick was just that the king is the most chosen card in that options (and I think that if he ask me I will say jack of spades) then when he start to say that the deck has only that card I think well I was right and probably I will broke he trick if I choose the jack of spades then he show the tricky trick and I think oh so I was wrong and he has think in that then he show the real trick and I realize that I was right so... *WOW*

He only needs access to a dozen cards in his wooden box. His wording with the audience member was the trick: "Do you want to pull out the numbers or the faces?" If the audience member says faces, he proceeds as he did in the video. If the audience member says numbers, he'll reply "Ok, now that we've pulled out the numbers, we have the faces left. Which do you want to pull out next?" And continues his wording to be consistent till he's down to one number. So all he needs is to have the twelve face cards in the box which are propped upright on the bottom so he can pull it out with the deck that is attached to the bottom of the lid. From there it's just slight of hand to keep the card hidden till he slips it in place in the deck. You can actually watch him do it as he fans them out. It's very clever, but I'm surprised it fooled them. I assume since they didn't act all baffled and such, they wanted to give him the trophy (since they admit he's earned it plenty by fooling them off-stage) or they didn't put much effort into figuring it out since they assumed he would beat them. They clearly have a lot of respect for this man.
Vor 5 TageMiguel Angel

Vor 2 TageSulucion 6Tone
Yup, You're 100% Correct on that assessment. He only had 12 Cards in the box, or on his body to grab and sleight it into the blank deck. Truly it was an easy trick, but his misinformation of explaining how it could have been done, but wasn't done; was the key to misdirecting everyones attention from the wooden box to start with.

He says "imagine you have a deck, which cards would you like to pull out?" He doesnt say which would you like to discard. The whole trick requires the picture cards. No matter what the audience member says the trick will proceed with the picture cards. This audience member says pictures and so the trick proceeds with only 12 cards....the pictures of each suit. If the audience member had picked the number cards the magician would have simply stated that the number cards were being discarded and he would of proceeded with the 12 cards that remained....the picture cards. "Pull Out" can mean pull out and use, OR pull out and discard. The fact that he narrows it down to 12 cards irregardless of what the audience member says means that the wooden box only needs to contain a full blank deck and a stack of 12 picture cards whose order is easily memorized. Then it's just down to some simple slight-of-hand. When he pulls the blank deck out the selected card is on the outside of the box and when he goes to remove the cards from the box he is combining the one selected card and the 52 blanks. Then as he fans the card he slips the selected card into the middle of the deck...pretty simple actually.
Vor 8 TageSome Mass
All correct in my opinion except for the method of combining the selected card into the deck. I looked at every frame individually from the point he opens the box to the point he fans the deck, and he's definitely not pressing the selected card on the outside of the box on either side. At 1:56 you can see the flap side of the cardbox which ends up facing him when he pulls the deck from the cardbox. That side clearly a normal cardbox front graphic, not a pinned card (which would be easy to tell b/c it'd either be a kingofclubs or its blueback). It seems he must have quickly put the selected card into the cardbox as he was pulling the cardbox out of the wooden box. Might involve a modified cardbox or some mechanism within the wooden case to help quickly insert the selected card into the bottom of the deck. It's hard to tell for sure, but it also looks like the flap on the cardbox isn't fully closed in the few frames after he removes it from the wooden box, which suggests recent manipulation. Edit: More likely had 4 decks in the box with JQK of every suite jutting out. When he reaches into the box, he removes the J and Q from the clubs deck and taps the K down into the cardbox. The Kclubs is still between the flap and the side of the box, but that wouldn't be noticeable. Edit: Or pulls the clubs deck out and when he removes the cards from the box, has a way of pulling them out along with J Q or K. Maybe modded cardbox to help with that.

Hmmm. Yes, you can turn the cup to rotate the wheel beneath it. But you did not do so before selecting that gentleman's deck. In fact, you did not even place the mug in the 'sweet spot." Further, where is the camera that shows the audience the 'view' from above' at just the precise instant you want it to? And why does the image on the screen seem to be reversed from (trails off)...

We never got to see the wooden box nor the card pack. I guess the face card thing was a force (audience member says either, he inverses if he has to), he had 4 decks for each suit in the box with 51 blanks but 3 face cards and with a bit of sleight of hand he "removes" the 2 face cards which were not chosen by pushing them back into the pack.

Equivoke the picture cards which are indifferent and reversed in the deck. The card box had a slit in it allowing him to riffle through and locate the named card. As the cards are removed the card is secretly cut into the deck and then the rest of the cards are concealed when spreading through the pack. Ez.
Vor 13 TageJohn Galt Line
I'm really curious if the trick works with any of the 52 cards chosen, or if it requires a force to a face card. It doesn't seem all that complex if it's just the face cards, but seems a nightmare and/or no idea how it's done if they could have picked any card in a deck.
Vor 13 TageChris Heckert
The lid of the box would have A,K,Q,J, etc cards all "taped" to the kid about a half cm apart from each other. Just enough for his fingers to grab. You notice as the guy was talking about which card he wanted the magician was taking his index & thumb & "preparing" them for the grab by rubbing them together. He opens the box... Snags the card he needs knowing King is 2nd from the right, clubs is 2nd down etc. Then just grabs the deck which is laid on top of the trap. Palm the blue card behind the deck so when you open the pack the audience can't see it & shuffle it into the middle. The rest is GG. I'm pretty sure that's how he did it.

This trick is understandable actually... the real mechanism is not on the table is under it. There is a carpet or vent or whatever underneath the table im assuming they had to put it for this magic trick since i cannot seem to find it ,on any other magician. I did a lil search on youtube just to be sure. So my calculated guess would be there is someone that will get the corrected card or a whole deck with the correct card through an elevator inside the middle of the table, where it will open and come out right on the middle where the box with the trapped door is placed, notice that the circular mechanism that spins the table is the same exact size as a deck of cards, my guess is that not only it rotates the table but also opens with a a magnet that was in the wooden box, and thats why we changed to clear plastic afterwards. Now he can open the box without oening the middle compartiment and still explain the trick. Its genius... I might be wrong but i still think this is how it was done. Now let me explain! i dont like magic that much i stumbled across this video online and i happen to watch it. What i do like is complex puzzles and i ve solved in my lifetime 4231 puzzles, that involve this kind of complex mechanisms and i litterally design puzzles before they take on their physical form. And im trully in love with the design and mechanism of the table. Honestly im not that much of a magic fan. I dont know how famous you are, Asi Wind... or if you are ever gonna read this 1 year later or if you are the person who designed the table. But if you can give me the contact of whoever designed the table let me know, i could use an extra pair of hands to make my designs come to life.
