so interesting to see how Kendrick has changed and how his music has changed and developed in his latest album

Listening to these guys does makes you a better human being, you may just be setback by your own precautions or mental feud to continue to go forward with feeling so special. We are all one in the same, but our reasoning makes us take very different routes. Just know that you aren't defined by what you think you cant do. You're just as intelligent as the people you look up to, you may just need an outlet to share that intelligence. I encourage everyone to share this mindset.

Rick does a great interview. He doesn’t force it, he lets it breathe. He has such a chill demeanor that just feels like a warm cozy blanket. He draws you in. Kendrick is such an amazing word smith, his lyricism and word play are so creative and very intelligent.

It’s funny Kendrick says he’s the biggest kid of them all because you can see it when he talks about music. He gets this twinkle in his eye and this smile on his face like he’s just so happy and full of curiosity just like a kid would be. He has an unmistakable wariness to him that makes you wanna engage with him. Such a layered guy. One of my favorite artists of all time

I think Rick has been through so many successes that he is now one of the best people who can ask the questions we would ask as fans, because he is a Legend. Kendrick is one of the most influential artists of our generation whether you like it or not and he understands that. He’s not doing it for clout he’s doing it because he is an Artist, who creates. Amazing matchup in this interview.

It’s about experience, love it or hate it, mainstream music now is super easy, it doesn’t actually require any effort and that’s why people put too little effort for the money only. That’s why the majority don’t respect them. You see people like Kendrick and you know he has a genuine passion for his craft, he obviously still does it for money, but he put effort to make a good product that will survive the challenge of time and not ear candy that will wear off in a week or so.

I'm not really much for rap, but I do love seeing two people who are among the best at what they do just sitting and talking with such a great mutual respect for each other. It is so refreshing to see professionnels that understand that age, and race, and the color of someone's skin is the most useless tool in gaging someone's worth as a human and member of society. The fact that they can have a conversation on TV that doesn't ultimately turn into a platform for a political exposition is a bonus. Fantastic. Loved this.

12:10 that bit right here is so true. I'm actually a big jazz fan, and I always struggled to wrap my mind around rap. It was hearing Kendrick and feeling his connection with jazz and how he informs his music with jazz vocabulary that I was able to establish a connection with rap. Music is so magical at times.

in my opinion Kendrick is a great lyricist because he's great at speaking and explaining, and Rick is a great producer because he's great at listening to others and asking curious questions

I absolutely love rappers who can build stories within their rhymes and not just surface level stuff either. Kendrick has that. How they were talking about being able to FEEL the story they’re telling, even though your experiences may not line up with the ones their expressing you can still feel the depth of it all

I loved the whole thing. Especially the part kdot says something like "I'm the biggest kid ever. I communicate with them the way other adults can't."

We all know that TPAB is a masterpiece no doubt. But i think, why TPAB at least become impactful and well-received, is the fact that most of Kendrick's fans are actually smart and mature. I think if other artist released some kind of TPAB on their own discography, the fans are not gonna listen to it because they think that would be too harsh/not pop enough. That's why i think TPAB, only works with Kendrick and it really fits Kendrick discography. I can't imagine another artist released TPAB. Its the album we all needed, and it still is. And what Rubin and Kendrick says its true, TPAB for me personally, is my gate towards Jazz. Now im a big listener of Miles, Coltrane, Wes Montgomery, etc. And the fact that the whole album is about black struggle, and Kendrick use Jazz as his medium to spread the message. That's just genius and really cultural i would say After all, Kendrick is the realest in the game and that's a fact

When he says that his connection to it could open up the listeners mind, I felt that. I remember listening to TPAB and feeling like wow this is a whole place I’ve never been but could feel it. it lead to me to listen to all kinds of different music I’d never been exposed to. TPAB is it’s own world and it helped me have an open mind to all sorts of other music.
