I'm glad that their mother brought Prince George and Princess Charlotte to their great-grandmother's funeral. The whole world saw that children that age COULD actually behave if they have been taught to behave. Young children who behave in public, do so because they have received the proper training and discipline in private and the way these children acted proves that they are receiving the proper training at home. Lovely children and lovely manners and I am ever so glad that they were allowed to attend this historic event.

Children are not dogs, they are not designed to be trained. They are human beings who express emotions and when you are a very young child, you don't always have the tools to be able to express those emotions in a way that is comfortable for the older people around you. Whilst it is true that these children have demonstrated a frankly extraordinary capacity to behave like little adults, it is not developmentally appropriate for children of this age to be so perfect, and I for one query what damage has been done to their capacity to feel and express emotions in a healthy way in the pursuit for the perfect public appearance. You seem to be under the impression that this behaviour should be the expected default of young children, and that any child who is less obedient, less compliant, less perfect in public is reflective of their parents' disciplinary failings, which is quite frankly abhorrent - especially when a lot of children who are "disruptive" in public spaces are neurodivergent, and not at all the product of lax parenting.

I agree. And I love that Princess Charlotte wore the horseshoe brooch during this moment. Her grandmother gifted her this beautiful brooch because they both love horses and she wanted to honor her grandmother as she said goodbye to her. I know she cried a little bit, but overall, they both did extremely well. And tears are not a sign of one lacking dignity or respect. To cry for someone means you love them. She's only 7 and this was her grandmother.

Those kids handled themselves so well. Considering how long an event it was they were so well behaved and well mannered. Their parents have brought them up well. They are going to be important figures in the public but they seem to have been brought up to respect everyone. Occasionally they say or do things that remind you they are young children but they did well today bless them.

There are many events they get to attend that some kids would love to go to! This one just happened to be a family members funeral. They were her grt grandchildren they had a bond with her, they called her granny. They are only human. The monarchy these days doesn't actually have any real power. They can agree or raise ideas for changes but it all has to be agreed with government. The Royal family if were being honest is a huge part of British history and it brings in a lot of tourism. Without the royals all those millions if not billions of people wouldn't visit London. Thousands would lose jobs and the country would fall into a depression. Every country has their own historical rituals, Its a piece of history that is still going. Its no different than having a president! Hope that makes sense

Really a gorgeous customary function yesterday. What a discipline , dedication and the people's love to their country. I watched entire program in BBC , and very much impressed by the grand final program of the Royal high ness. It was really like history repeated for younger generation who could know about the great Britain Royal Family. The traditions are continued and bodies well preserved in the royal vault for future generations. History and preservance is very important for any country. UK is doing the right thing . Very sad but dignified honourable full of love and respect to the queen.......Its heartwarming and touching, watching everyone curtisied and bowed to the queen in the abbey. Will miss seeing her smiles.

It was a loving (and fitting) tribute to someone who exemplified what it meant to be truly Royal. It is my hope that Princes George and Princess Charlotte will remember this day; not only out of respect and love for their g-grandmother, but in honor of the people they will serve some day. .
