In my opinion Blame Game is his best song Vulnerable, honest, dark, masterpiece production, perfect piano play, John Legend on the Hook, the fucked up lyrics. Kanye is my favorite artist. Blame Game became my favorite song thru hook or crook. Wasn’t even looking for it to be my favorite song but somehow it did. Perhaps because I’ve had my heart broken. Perhaps because I can’t find a single flaw on the song. I’d like to think I’m a closet artist that can give credit where it is due. Kanye is a musical Genius! Long Live MBDTF
Vor year@M15TER_Turtlee +3
Blame Game is also up there for me as one of his best songs, revealing such a sensitive yet such a dark mental state that men go through during a break up. Men aren't the Ultimate victims but we over think when it comes to any person we find interest in. That can some times be our biggest downfall as men to the point where we mess things up ourselves. John Legend on the hook being the polar opposite to Kanye's aggressive verses to me makes the song even better because it's like the hook are his thoughts and he's not doing that clearly. Which leads to him just being "angry" during the verses.

Vor year@willkalvelage9254 +2
The audio quality on this album is outstanding as Kanye uses voice overs, instrumentals and vocals from other artists mixed with his rapping to enhance the creativity of the album. The progression of the album begins with Kanye rapping alone which illustrates past events and shows off his incredible lyricism. As you move down the song list you begin to hear more upbeat songs such as ‘’Power’’ and ‘’All of the Lights’’ that include louder beats and fast paced singing and rapping. Throughout the middle and end of the album Kanye brings out many features that take these songs in many different directions with various messages and styles. Kanye touches on many subjects in this tracklist. There is a big emphasis on his mental health and where he is as a person during this time period. It also goes into bigger scale ideas like race and America’s status. The album's variety in terms of song types ranges from vocals with slower melodies to crazy beats and sound transitions. These songs are filled with various messages like the power he has obtained through his rise to fame or how America has changed as a whole. The target audience of this album consists of the African American community and young citizens throughout America. The messages and wording used in these songs enables the audience to resonate with the music.

Dark Fantasy is the most inspirational Hip Hop album. Anytime I'm in an emotional rut I put it on and listen front to back. It pulls me out of the rut and I'm back

The whole Kanye and finding his inner child has become such a legendary aspect of his career. Whenever he can tap into that element of his persona his music is incredible. That's why Kids see ghost was so good, whenever he's around Cudi that comes out of Kanye...and this is like my 10th comment I cant help it! Kanye is the GOAT
Vor 4 years@JimmyDanger44 +1
I think there's a lesson to be learned from that for all of us, life is always more interesting from the aspect of your inner child.

I now understand why my father worshipped and tried to mirror this man. He made me wear polos everywhere, played all of Kanye’s samples from every track… never let me on a mixing deck but always pushed new music into my circuit. I grew up hating rap and hip hop… I loved listening to John Legend and Alecia Keys, it became my sense of freedom, once I turned twelve my mom got me a cheap MP3 player with all kinds of music I had never heard yet! Over 400 tracks on there. From Tribe Called Quest, to Sade, to Biggie, Bach, to Jimmy Hendricks, and much much more. Now as an adult if only I could have that cheap mp3 back. I didn’t know it at the time but my parents were creating a critical analyzer. For everyone that couldn’t see Kanye’s vision, or forgot about his authenticity or disregarded his passion: shame and the joke on you.

Great video. Thanks for making it. I enjoyed the sampled parts where you played the original. I love learning about those.

That Jay Leno interview put so much of Kanye's output over the past decade into context, especially being in the Donda era like we are now. So intriguing to see it all come full circle now.

Such a great video! Thank you! I remember when College Dropout came out. I was the only one in my circle of friends to like Kanye. I was playing his songs all the time. Look at his body of work. Can’t wait for him to bounce back after all the stuff he’s going through right now.

Vor 2 years@bredslayer7094 +3
mbdtf was one of my least favorite projects by him when i started listening to his stuff 2 years ago. now it is fs my most favorite album of all time. one of the only albums of my liking that has multiple 10/10 songs, let alone one 10/10 song. each song stands alone so well and then when you put them together, each song transitions into the next without a single one standing out of place. ye is 🐐
Vor 11 Monate@ilovecody7514 +112
This was a paradigm Shift of an album for Ye. People doubted him after 808s (Though I loved it), hated him after the debacle with Swift but the fact he was able to basically hit the reset button and explode once again. I might not think MBDTF is a modern classic because I have other favorites from Ye, but this was a great album that solidified him as a trailblazer.

Vor 4 years@johnnyscifi +3
I also doubted him after 808s. I enjoyed 808s, but feared that if he kept on that path, his music was gonna go downhill, fast. Except...he came out with a hip hop classic!!!
Vor 4 years@sherm9031 +1
Obviously kanye was ahead of his time, i look at him as a genius when it comes to music. He paved a new way for this gen of music. Sad to see the controversy he is in right now, its very difficult to be in his position right now but i hope he bounces back🙏

Everything in life happens for a reason , you can either fold from adversity or you can use it as fuel to inspire yourself and become greater PERIOD, this album “my dark twisted fantasy “ is the best Kanye album of all time , if Kanye can get to this level again after him and Kim divorce it would be the G.O.A.T.

Vor 4 years@LucarioDXAuraStorm +5
@@darrellholmes9609 Same here. Ever since I listened to Kanye back when Yeezus first came out, I felt that I needed to listen to his older music because Yeezus sounded garbage to me (I love the album nowadays after being in the Yeezus era from the interviews be to the tour). I started with Graduation thinking it was Ye's best and instantly wondered "Why TF doesn't he make music like this anymore? Wtf happened?" Then I bumped to Dark Fantasy and it struck me & stood out to me on being one of the most artistic albums I've ever heard from production, concepts, the instrumentations on songs, features, it was an experience listening to it the first time. I wish i was apart of that era.

while this is not my favorite album. this is a fuckn MASTERPIECE. there isnt really like major hits on this album like all falls down but any song from this album you get that mood. like you know this took TIME. any song from this album gives you the vibes.
