The Jurassic World trilogy hasn't exactly distinguished itself as a smart, thought provoking successor to Jurassic Park, and Dominion does absolutely nothing to change that. In fact, it may be the worst movie in the entire franchise.

After they go thru the ice into the frozen water, there is no shaking / shivering, or anything that would make you think they were in the least bit cold. Anyone who has every went into ice cold water, knows exactly what that feels like. 3. Two minutes after coming out from that ice cold water, the characters, their hair, and clothes are completely dry? 4. How about that they crashed their plane into a landscape of SNOW ANF ICE ..... How in the fook is their a TROPICAL JUNGLE in the middle of the .... snow and ice? . . What’s funny about how badly they got Alan Grant into the story is how easily it could been done so much better. Ian gets Grant and Sadler jobs giving lectures, just like Ian is doing. He gets them a job as cover for the plan he has in the movie. Now there is no need to sneak around outside the secured areas. Ian is just giving them a tour.

This movie made me enjoy Jurassic park 3 more and more LOL the first JP film is unbeatable to me, one of my favorite movies. The sequel was alright and the third movie was mid (I did like how terrifying the spino was, even if unrealistic it felt scary to me as a kid) Granted, I wasn't born when the first film released as I'm 2003, but to rewatch them growing up made a childhood. The first Jurassic world movie was actually a good movie, while again not the best ever it felt decent at best and I found it better than the third JP movie, then they just made shit like fallen kingdom (which news flash is so fucking ass) and now with dominion which I watched in the theatres. Biggest mistake of a franchise I've seen here. Some were hit and most were fallen down to me. To me, JP 1, Jurassic world 1, and JP 3 are managing to be my favorites out of everything. Most probably won't agree with me, but from what shit show these movies have been so far, I don't care that much LOL

Like, sure, it’s a Jurassic World movie; it’s supposed to be about dinosaurs. But every few minutes or so in the film, another different “never-before-seen” dinosaur just randomly shows up. He asked them about their biological characteristics, their behaviors, and Muldoon answers with expertise and you get the sense that there's this mutual respect between men in different fields dealing with the same type of animal. You don't really get that with Grant and Chris Pratt, which doesn't make sense whatsoever. Grant should've been asking Pratt how did he train them, what his methods were, maybe even bring up Muldoon and his death so that Pratt can learn about the OG raptor wrangler from someone who knew him firsthand (as well as pay tribute and closure to the late Bob Peck's character). There was so much opportunity to have all these smart moments between characters and the film wasted most if not all of them.

Mine was when Dominic Toretto shows up in a Dodge Charger and saves everyone, and calls them family. What a crossover!

I used to toy with the idea, imagine, if someone made a movie deliberately trying to make every aspect of movie making as badly as possible, as satire, but like a lesson in true Zen wisdom, just sit by the river and wait and eventually you will see the finished thing float past you.

I wanted to see this movie and then realized halfway through this TCD review that I did in fact see this movie and never realized how forgettable it was. Holy cow!

Nailed it. The only reason to watch any of the Jurassic Park movies (except for Jurassic Park) is to see the cool dinosaurs particularly when they fight each other.

So sad, the original is my favorite movie of all time. I think they failed to realize that what made the original so great was the subplot of Alan Grant coping with his own trepidations about parenthood, and how he was thrust into a situation with those kids and forced to grapple with that in a high-stakes situation. Watching him rise to the occasion was the real treat of the movie, and the dinosaur-coating was just the framing device. And the fact that natural parenthood was mirrored throughout the film... the breeding of the dinosaurs, the rogue fatherhood of Ian Malcolm... all the way down to the symbolism of Grant being unable to tie his seatbelt in the helicopter because he had two female ends; it was just perfect from beginning to end. These other movies forgot any subtext. It's all dinosaur CG. Which is fine for what it is. But the magic of the original is long gone.

I am so glad that I forgot what happens in this movie immediately after watching it
