I'm an old guy and it did my heart good to see the warm welcome Dr. Peterson received by all the young men and women. It gives me hope for the future in these trying times.

So happy to see this man gain such positive feedback after all he's been through.

It took about 7 minutes for him to mentally go back to his teaching mode with his hand gestures and body language shifting from closed off to free flow. Always great to see him thrive in his element. Love and respect him despite not agreeing with him all the time on all things. We’re blessed to have him.

What a great sign for freedom of speech & thought that Jordan gets a standing ovation at Oxford University. Makes me feel optimistic about the future!

Thank you Oxford Union for inviting Jordan Peterson to speak and even more for that standing ovation that JP so definitely deserves given all the thoughtless maligning and cancelling that he’s had to put up with from other universities. As a result, we get to hear this wonderful, intelligent and enlightening talk. Thanks again.

I got teary when he came onto the stage. He is a rare one. In the best possible way. So glad you made it through your dark night and are back better than ever.

Honesty even at the expense of his own reputation and perhaps happiness. What a man.

I was watching 2017 lectures the other day and felt a moment of sadness that he wasn’t as sharp lately but this revived my hope! Grateful he’s back on the road and more importantly, healthy again!

It brought tears in my eyes to see him getting the standing ovation 👏 from the young people who really need such an intellectual in their lives.

I am so glad Oxford Union were able to bring this man back to their campus and welcoming him with open arms because this has not been seen in a very long time

I love that everyone stands with him once he's walked to the podium. He hasn't yet done anything or said anything on that podium but everyone attending automatically stands with him. Incredible.

Congratulations to Oxford Union for the initiative. Amidst so much nonsense, idiocy, and ill will all throughout the public spectrum, it is reassuring not only to see Prof Peterson in good shape, but also the warm and civilised welcome on the part of the audience

Thank you, Oxford Union for hosting this brilliant professor, writer, speaker and human being! He has many truths to share with us and it is always wonderful to hear him speak. Glad to see him being appreciated and hosted with a standing ovation. Shows me that you all are critical thinkers, thank goodness for that.

I don't know if anyone realizes how much of a walking miracle this man is... this man has written about going out of hell, and he actually has been in hells, he has suffered in every possible way and watched the ones he loved suffer just the same. But look at him now! Just compare him to a few months before! His recovery is spectacular! And it was by no mean an easy feat, a lot of people would've given up to disease in his stead.

What a truly admirable human being. Can we have just one politician with an ounce of his intellect, honesty and integrity.

That standing ovation warmed my heart.
