Edward Snowden is an American whistleblower who copied and leaked highly classified information from the National Security Agency in 2013 when he was a Central Intelligence Agency employee and subcontractor. His new book "Permanent Record" is now available.

Rural Mail Carriers are allowed and admit to opening packages to see whats inside, routinely do and reseal them without customer knowledge. My mom yesterday during conversation said it was her belief as a 20 year retired postal mail carrier in Maryland that they could open customers packages at any time then reseal them without telling anyone.  She said any mail carrier, postal clerk or post master can open a package and reseal it at anytime for any reason.  She also said they did it routinely with no accountability.  I was absolutely shocked by this.  She said both packages and letters.  The theory being if they are handling them they have the right to know whats inside them.  I told her i was pretty sure this was a federal offense but she raised her voice and yelled at me saying it was fair game and common play.  That her and others did it all the time throughout her career.  I was shocked and appalled.  Can we confirm the legality of this?  Is this true or false?  Can we sue this post office or bring it to the attention of others for inspection or review?  Please note and forward this on.  As privacy is important for all of us.  I found this link that seems like it refers to this shady practice loophole.  Imagine being the son of a postal worker, no privacy at all.  Like a government agent or policeman in family, its a living hell for the offspring.  Heres the loophole they exploit from the official usps policy;  https://faq.usps.com/s/article/Can-my-mail-be-opened

Something fascinating happened on a forum in a span of a few days and it has caused quite a stir in certain parts of the Internet. A person by the moniker of Insider claimed he was from a ruling bloodline and gave the people a chance to ask everything they wanted and Insider would answer. At first it looks like another internet hoax, some lightweight questions were followed by lightweight answers, but then things started changing drastically. Anyone who understands dialectics knows that the answers Insider gave were designed to force/provoke others to ask questions which went to the core of the matter. First some questions are being asked by Insider like "Are you really living on the planet you think you are?" which made people react differently than before. The answers this person started giving to those following questions showed a deep, broad understanding of philosophy, history, metaphysics, religion, magic, politics, and more in a way which is very innovative, detailed and some answers are thought provoking to say the least. What amazes is that Insider answered these questions in a very short time span and if you keep in mind that the topics are diverse, some in depth and some epic answers showed up literally minutes apart, one must wonder how it was done. Copy/paste from internet? I checked intensively and the sentences Insider used cannot be found on internet. Like one person observed, this was way over the heads of the usual suspects. Some people started getting upset, others were drawn to it and this all lead to a dialogue where so much was revealed, including by the other posters that it can be studied for years to come. Sounds hard to believe? Read on.. 2 Dialogues both really good second one is longer, 10/10 enjoy https://amzn.to/3aaKboj .....

That said, when he's talking about being ashamed and how long it took I can't help but think, "That level of access and you conveniently omit Operation Condor? Unsurprising for someone who calls themselves a career spy, but it seems as if you actively condone more abuses than you're letting on." That's not to say that he had an obligation, but there sure seem to have been times that the conversation led naturally into, "and also brown people/ foreign dissidents that we have no right to define as dissidents, that's totally part of it." and he (at least to me) conspicuously deflects.

JR Thomas What some bases made from rock cages and sand burns 8n Syria. Why do we even need to be there. Trump said ahead of time he would remove rules of engagement on our soldiers, destroy Isis and then leave. Well he is doing exactly that. I kind of like a president that does what he says. Do you know anything about Syria? When wasn’t it a client state of Russia? It’s been that way for many decades. Yes I’m sure the deep state is still trying to get their hands on Snowden like they are trying to get hands on Trump. Trump is the only President that might be willing to ignore the deep state and actually give Snowden a fair trial because he I cannot be controlled by deep state.

This is one of the good ones …. I wouldn’t describe Joe Rogans 2021 collection this way. I’m neutral on Joe Rogan as a whole but there’s not a question in my mind that he seriously dropped the ball during the COVID era, and his agenda was very much noticeable. I don’t think he does it intentionally , and he admits his ignorance at times, but he also refuses to take responsibility for platforming grifters, whether it be intentional or not. I’m not saying every guest is a grifter, I’m just saying that Joe has become a bit too prideful (at least in 2021) and unwilling to admit when he’s platformed a bullshit artist to 7 million people without pushing back on easily available information . It’s fine when you put a truly intelligent guy like Snowden on, who you can independently verify that was he’s saying is true, but most people who watch do not have the wisdom to actually follow up and confirm that a guest is telling the truth, and that’s fundamentally the problem that snowden talks about in this extremely long but informative talk. The reliability of any Joe Rogan episode depends on the integrity of the guest he has on, and he failed to vet some of his more harmful guests in 2021, and there’s more people dead because of the absence of journalistic responsibility that Rogan somehow thinks doesn’t apply to him. Like I said overall I’m neutral on him, but we have a media literacy problem and a technological understanding problem in this country and it’s not getting better. I understood a lot of the nuance Snowden was talking about because I’m also in IT, but most people have no idea . Joe just doesn’t have the will or the wisdom to press people that should be pressed, and whether he realizes or not, he’s an easy person to take advantage of if the guest has an agenda.

Props to Joe Rogan for sitting back for the majority of the interview and letting this brilliant and iconic figure just drop jaw dropping revelation after jaw dropping revelation. I feel guilty as an American citizen, I feel like I’ve let down Mr. Snowden. We the people have to find a way to make his bravery worthwhile. Please feel free to share suggestions or commentary in the comments section.

@baad lyrics I respectfully disagree that intelligence and articulated speech go hand in hand. As an example I would like to use teachers. Many teachers possess a wealth of knowledge, but how many teachers are actually good at teaching? It’s one thing to possess certain skills or knowledge, but an entirely different thing to be able to actually convey such skills or knowledge to another person. This is why it’s so rare to find that one teacher who actually stands out from the rest. From school teacher to BJJ instructor, the most appreciable difference between people is often their ability to convey information effectively. As another example, consider just how many people have been exited a job interview in favor of another person who could better articulate his skills and knowledge. Elon Musk for example, is painfully aware of how much TALENT that he may have passed over in favor of those who could better articulate themselves. I do agree that there is certainly a correlation between intelligence and the ability to convey information, I just don’t believe that this correlation is exclusive.

The fact that people see Joe's ability/choice to allow people to speak without interrupting them as unique and rare is genuinely interesting. It's telling because it really *shouldn't* be seen as this amazingly rare thing in the media, letting people speak is extremely simple. Somehow the media has gotten us so used to nothing but short talking points and sound bites from people. And interruptions are commonplace whether we like it or not because the majority of those who work in the largest media agencies find it to be a better use of their time to interrupt someone speaking to ask them a controversial question so they can get an interesting answer that they can commercialize more easily. The fact that Joe lets people speak shows us something extremely simple - he values learning and listening to people over asking questions to get a sound bite. Part of it is the fact that his podcast generally goes on for ~2 hours so he's well aware that he can let people speak and ask questions later, but it also shows that the majority of his questions are made up on the spot as opposed to having prepared questions that have nothing to do with what his guests have been talking about. Turns out that when you're actually listening to what someone says, the questions you ask will be more substantive and meaningful. Who would've thought? Based on just this, Joe is an incredibly good interviewer and could easily replace any person in traditional media if he wanted to simply because his priority is learning.

As memory serves, a federal action concerning hazardous substances at Area 51, the test site, failed because the plaintiff was unable to prove the existence of Area 51. The plaintiff's attorney offered to drive the judge to the facility, but that didn't matter. However, since the test site was unacknowledged (or some other classification like "black on black"), the judge reportedly said that the place didn't exist and that he couldn't rule that it did. Also, wouldn't it have been better for the Supreme Court to rule that the paper, equipment, and facility may belong to the telecom, but the content was not. The telecommunications giants are more bailees than owners. They are holding the information in safekeeping to transfer to another, the intended recipient.

Edward said he still felt shame for the time he'd sat on all this. I forgive him, if that means anything. I think it gets seriously underappreciated just how much all this manipulates and confuses a person's sense of reality too, and knowing the right thing to do and when to do it is incredibly difficult. He even set it out plainly that the President is subject to what is basically a psyop, their reality is manipulated and challenged to trigger a certain outcome, and if even a person with as much power as a president is subject to this and it can be so effective, that's... Well, I can think of many words, so I'll let you fill the blank. It occurs to me even Biden would have been subjected to this, and I can imagine this could make someone susceptible to a mental breakdown. I'm not saying this happened to Biden, though who could rule this out either? It sounded like govt and these agencies are basically afraid of the same thing Edward is, that they would be judged so severely and perhaps even worse, to end up the way it did in something like the Nuremberg trials, and that is an understandable concern, because people have been violated and upset and their reality was a lie, there was no informed consent of any value, etc... However, someone once said to build a golden bridge for your enemy to retreat across, and I'm not sure there's an alternative that's better or more available. I wouldn't want the people doing this to fear settings things right. That's the outcome I am interested in. That's not permission to keep doing these things, but hopefully a way out. However, for those who simply don't want a way out, they will have pushed the breaking point. I can't see that ending well. This video now comes with fresh contexts of current events, and there's so much going on with all this. It won't be anything other than insane to ignore it and expect anything better from that.
