This was me with, and I know a lot of people will laugh, but emo music. Around early high school I wanted to joke with my friends and play an emo song in the car because we all basically only listened to rap, and I played some Taking Back Sunday song, it was basically what came up when I searched emo music, and damn I ended up really liking it despite my friends laughing and clowning it, I secretly started getting into it big time and to this day I listen to all different types from screamo like Norma Jean, pop punk like Knuckle Puck, OG emo like Embrace and Lifetime, and super cheesy scene emo stuff like Attack Attack. It also was my gateway into death metal and black metal and hardcore punk.
