I don't say this to encourage this channel being about drug use, but taking ayahuasca in the jungles of South America would be very interesting to watch given the way you guys tell stories and experience cultures.
Vor MonatRemnant 144
@Raeminiscence I believe this video mentions Ayahuasca and the grinning entities that you sometimes see. I saw her and she was terrifying. A face I'll never forget. Large cat like eyes and a massive grin covering half of her face with a bunch of very sharp teeth. I did 3 ceremonies. Never again.
Vor 6 TageRemnant 144
@Raeminiscence I hope they don't.
Vor 6 TageRaeminiscence
There’s already an in-depth documentary on that somewhere I think on Netflix. And having watched that, I actually would NOT recommend Yes Theory to go that route tbh
Vor 6 TageRemnant 144
I did Ayahuasca in Peru in 2012. 3 times. I'll never do it again, lol. Not that I don't appreciate the experience but I now realize that I was gambling my soul and sanity with unknown entities. I did meet some amazing people though. If I had the decision to make again though I would definitely pass. I've learned so much since then. There is a lot that we do not see or know but are sometimes eager to blindly walk right into. I'm grateful for what I have now and where I am. I've lost everything twice and been homeless. I've suffered quite a bit. But I came to know Jesus and my life suddenly began to fall into place. I can't express how grateful I am for every little blessing in my life.

I've tried the wild honey and experienced hallucination. It's a crazy experience, I didn't even know that you get high from wild honey when I tried it. I'm from Nepal and got the wild honey from the same eastern part of Nepal. I mostly felt like someone is pushing my face. It's a completely weird sensation. I think the hallucinating power also differs according to the harvest time, and mainly from the flowers that the bees have collected nectar and pollen.

@Derek Cox i get what ur saying, but i dont think they paid money or anything for the honey so its whatever
Vor MonatUmmul Kadri
Exactly
Vor MonatDerek Cox
@Baby Blub The entire countries livelihood is mostly surrounded by tourism and culture is influenced by it, it's inescapable, even in some of the most remote parts it's still a factor to be considered. During tourist peak there's literally consistently a line of thousands of people on Mount Everest you are more likely to die freezing waiting in line then because of the mountain itself to give you an idea.
Vor MonatBaby Blub
@Derek Cox but they especially looked for one of the villages that isn't mainly tourism, they had to hike 4 hours to get there, I don't think it's something touristic in this village

Brother, whatever you have done and seen, I understand, but life provides an opportunity for us to experience different things if we allow it. I was never in the military, but I was a police officer for 20 years, have had to kill, and have seen close to 50 people take their last breath in front of my eyes/in my arms. Go find peace in the world, it does exist, even if it's only in your mind. Thanks for your service.

This reminds me of when I went to the Peruvian jungle (by myself) not planning on doing anything. And ended up doing Ayahuasca. I met a "shaman" (he didn't like to be called that but also didn't have another name) who does the ceremony. I definitely puked a lot, because it's supposed to clean your body first, then your mind. Very interesting experience, especially having heard all the horror stories before. But I trusted him, because he didn't do it commercially, but rather still saw it as a medicine and also stayed the whole night and prepared a flower bath in the morning. An experience I'll definitely remember.
Vor MonatMcKeane
@TBL Omerta Never heard this but also haven't done extensive research. When I did it in Costa Rica, the group was led through the night and we all had 3 imbibements, the ayahuasca was brewed and mixed with some crushed fruit I believe, and other plants/herbs (MAOI inhibitors is the key ingredient to allow the ayahuasca to work at all). It was a really great experience, but I've never heard of imbibing drinks throughout the ayahuasca experience but saving the third and final drink to be the "real" one
Vor 14 TageN
@Selina Rebecca interesting
Vor MonatSelina Rebecca
@N Not really. I did feel a deeper connection with nature in that moment, but it didn't affect me in the long run.

Unfortunately, I have tried 3tablespoon of that honey once when I was young and dumb. I still feel that was the worst trip I have ever experienced. Absolutely astonishing video. As always great work! But one thing can't leave my mind about psychoactive substances. It's wild how some of us get blackout drunk and it's normal. While Yes theory do mad honey with the professionals in a responsible way it's depicted as hazardous, dangerous or bad. At least it had this vibe in a video. Although it's absolutely necessary to give warnings, because you don't want people play with these substances or even taking too much of adventure. But no one gives a warning when you drink poison (alcohol) in a party. We use meth and amphetamines for adhd, we use opiates for pain, we use benzodiazepines for anxiety disorders, literally drugs that affect psyche and addicts us, but we are fine with it. I'm all about responsible use. I don't even demonize alcohol or even prescription meth. But it's wild how hypocritical our society is where you have to overexplain why you do try hashish in Afghanistan or try honey in Nepal while some people high on legal amphetamines in work or school. Even if that honey can make you vomit or even kill you, alcohol can do it too. But in reality some psychoactive substances, psychedelics mainly, have benefits if used correctly and responsibly. But unfortunately they are unrightfully demonized. I don't condone drug use myself. But some people do it anyways. For those, make sure you know EVERYTHING about the substance. Read everything about it. Sorry if I rambled trough this rant.
