there were some aspects of this video, along with the latest ones, that just really made me miss the old format. Michelle has always been a positive person but she always knew when to be serious, be attentive, and actually think of what would happen if the scenario was real. this video threw me off from how jokey she was the entire time, the rushed/choppy feel of it overall, and the lack of substance of what actually happens in the TRAINING to become a flight attendant. we didnāt see any actual training efforts, just simulations she was seemingly thrown in. been a long supporter of hers and this series but feeling further away than ever from where she started this series at

As former crew, its nice to see more interest in our training! But wish Michelle had added a caveat that this wasn't training, more like a hands-on tour of a training academy. No exams, no evaluations, and no systems experience. This just scratched the surface of how crew are trained!

@maya I know what turbulence feels like. Iām meaning the specific like this is normal turbulence and this is bad turbulence. So if I was in a simulator showing bad turbulence (which apparently is actually very rare) I wouldnāt be as afraid with regular turbulence which is what we normally feel, like you feel like youāre going to drop out of the sky.

you can tell how empathetic Michelle is by the way she reacts to certain situations - after the fake crash, she looked like she was about to tear up, same way as she did during dispatch training, police academy, fire academy. she's not only strong, but incredibly empathetic and emotionally intellectual. i admire her SO much for that. it's amazing to watch, i wish i could meet her.

Vor 3 Monatesookysmashaus +312
Michelle, I really encourage you to consider a disclaimer with this video. Flight attendant training academies are a financial grift. Absolutely no person wishing to be an FA should ever PAY for their training. Any airline hiring an FA candidate will train their employees, as we have different commands and security unique to each airline. These companies come with NO guarantee of a job after. Applying to become a flight attendant is more competitive than getting into Harvard. There are typically 100K applications for just a thousand or so spots every year. I LOVE your videos, and it is always fascinating to learn of the different unique jobs that keep us all going. Additionally, the pay, hours and expectations of begin a flight attendant or extraordinarily taxing. I realize you are focused on eye catching content, but the less pleasant side of careers is an important factor as well. It would do so many young flight attendants I've met well to truly understand teh commitment, financial and time sacrifice we all make. sincerely and with gratitude, a washed up old flight attendant.

Vor 11 Monatesookysmashaus +7
@Spencer Graham-Thille That program is NOT a college. How about you find another thread to start an education discussion. It is imperative that people choose accredited universities if they wish to become experts in aviation planning, engineering, human factors, supply chain logistics, avionics, engineering, or other fields relevant to aviation safety. There is NO ACCREDITED school where you can learn to be a flight attendant. Go crap on education elsewhere please.

I truly love your content, but I feel as though you havenāt been taking the videos as seriously as before and you arenāt including as much information about these challenges. I seriously love your long, more document style content. I would watch a video that is an hour long. I would love to see you explain the difficulties about the challenges you face. Hi Michelle, long-time admirer of 'Challenge Accepted' and your channel. However, with this 'Challenge Accepted', and, unfortunately, the last couple of 'Challenge Accepted' videos, I have felt as if a lot of the aspects that made your challenges difficult weren't fully addressed and a bit glossed over. Again, I'm a big fan and am always amazed at your determination and hard work with your videos. For me, and perhaps others, the longer, hour-and-a-half content demonstrated the range of the challenges you endured (i.e. the training, the anticipation and fear, and eventually, overcoming the challenge itself). Additionally, although I do like the banter you always found with your instructors, it felt as if there were too many "comedic" moments over serious, attentive moments. Unfortunately, that is why I have disliked this video. Thank you for all that you do and again, this is just an avid watcher's opinion! š

On the last several Challenge Accepted videos I've noticed there's quite a lot of comments from people about the video being too short and that they miss the longer videos. I still very much enjoy watching these videos and appreciate the amount of time, money and effort it took to get these made. However, I do agree that the videos aren't as impactful as they used to be and that it often feels a bit lacking in depth and substance. she posts all the time. since i started watching videos about 7 years ago just about every people rarely post, dont post at all, or dont post good videos anymore so i unsubscribed. michelle could be one of those people who just posts for another couple months and stop all together cause all people do is complain in comments now and i wouldnt blame her. like i said this isnt a tv show. if you dont wanna watch her cause shes not posting 58 minute videos your going to be disappiinted cause nobody watches videos that long anyway and the reason for that is cause for an online video people lose focus more easily then when watching movies or tv for some reason. thats why when sometimes you hear someone say during a 16 minute video: i'm gonna wrap this up before it gets long. like its just a video on the internet. your supposed to keep your videos under an hour otherwise you'll start to lose people

I have been checking most of your videos, and was thinking of a few additional Challenges for you to (hopefully) accept. - Programming - Create something original. Whether it's a website, a mobile app or a PC program, make something original from scratch using any programming / scripting languages you want. - Languages - Learn any language outside your comfort zone at a basic conversational level, and test it in the native country. If you were to choose Romanian or Estonian, I would feel really proud of that :D - Dancing - Learn any kind of dance style (preferably with a partner, preferably with Garrett :D ) that you have never attempted before. People are bored on the plane and donāt realize we have a lot to do, and adding more work for us while we should already be getting to our jumpseats for takeoff is not a good way to pass time. I wish people would take our job more seriously because at the end of the day, if anything happens, theyāll be VERY glad we are trained to help them instead of just saying « sorry, i canāt help, but tea or coffee?Ā Ā».

It would be so cool if you were to train like a member in a Marching band. Or a part a a marching band's color guard. I feel like since marching band season is starting for many if it hasn't already begun, it would be super cool!š I love your channel and the messages of encouragement you share!ā„ļøā„ļøā„ļø

Can we please have longer videos Michelle?! Theyāre so good! Maybe they could be 20-30 minutes?

I really miss the longer, more detailed videos. This almost feels like a trailer. Would have loved a few words at the end about how you felt, what you learned etc

Yeah, but now I wanna challenge you to be on an actual plane as a flight attendant. Youāve done a lot, and gob me through proper training and I bet you could handle this!

This is such a great video! I would love to see more in depth flight emergency response training - but so much of this I never would have thought of!

AWESOME EPISODE MICHELLE!! I love these episodes and hope you never stop doing them! I have a request, could you do US NAVY??!!
Vor yearMandoMonge
The hot drink bit was SO REALISTIC! I've had people standing up in the middle of takeoff asking for milk for their baby, food for them, beers, and even with a full on used diaper because they were changing the baby on the tray table during taxi...your faith in humanity and the existence of common sense goes out the window once you become a cabin crew
Vor yearVidHoard +330
The past few videos feel so rushed and non-serious compared to past ones... so much effort and work put in to such an interesting topic, and we barely got to see any of it. It feels like an ad for being a flight attendent rather than a story of how one ordinary woman pushed through all her fears to try something incredibly challenging.

Michelle is the best content creater on Youtube hands down. She donāt just grab the camera and record, she actually puts attention to details to create an interesting video.

i feel really bad. i did not know that flight attendants are first responders as well. that just makes me appreciate every flight i've been on even more.

Thank you for highlighting the difficulties of this job. On top of it all, now FAs have to deal with maskers vs unmaskers and a whole range of Covid-related issues
