The day the update came out me and my friends tried to raid an ancient city and we all died 😂 Congrats on being able to survive and managing to build this, it looks incredible. My heart skipped a beat when he used his sonic boom thing on you, it was so unexpected.

From what I’ve experienced finding ancient cities, the deep dark isn’t limited to just 1 cave, it’s possible for it to only be in 1 section of a cave and the ancient city is actually much further away

You should add the mangrove swamp and deep dark to your biome tunnels. Maybe also add a nether portal and then do some short nether biome tunnels inside?

Actually the "Portal" mostly in the middle of the city, is actually a statue of the warden more the face of the warden

I love how you can have the game sense and weariness to survive over one hundred days in a world where one death is game over but you didn't have the foresight to remember that the Warden has a ranged attack

The ancient city I found had a cluster of 5 shriekers. I was so scared and I only set of a shreiker once but still the fear factor is high.

From some tests I’ve done, on average you get about 5 shulker boxes of loot from one ancient city

My favorite thing to do to the Warden is trapdoors next to sculk sensors, cause he just stares at the opening and closing trapdoor like he's mezmerized.

Dude just today i’ve discovered a huge web of sculk tunnels under my mountain home, and im a little worried there may be an ancient city under my lodge and im no where near prepared to explore it. Im scared to confirm it yet as i haven’t even gotten to diamond gear yet in this world

You should try building with the mangrove wood- it's quite a nice red color, like crimson wood but better.

I trapped the warden by mining out a chunk and putting it down there and covering it with glass aswell as a bubble elevator and water puddle to get in and out ( 5 or 6 days ago with a friend) you could probably still have the warden in your base if it was a bit deeper down

In case you want to summon the warden later on, make sure to not destroy one or more shriekers, because only naturally spawned sculk shriekers can summon the warden (even one’s created by sculk catalysts cant)

My friends and I didn't pay attention to the info about the Warden, and decided to rush into the first deep dark we found. 5 hours and several more people to help baby-proof the place later, I have permanent anxiety about that place even though we can't spawn the Warden there anymore. Someone at Mojang took out some therapy-level trauma on making that thing.

if you are not the one who heard by sculk, warden wont spawn. if a player makes a noise wardes does spawn

The first ancient city I found had a mine shaft in it so there were mobs spawning in it

Hey did you know that the small sculk pocket you found first leads to a deep dark? You just have to dig lower below that sculk to find it! Unless it has something to do with the Chunk deleting mod XD

you can also give him a nametag so you dont have that annoying bell clock because the warden is neutral to you for the first few seconds + if you wanna be safe you need to make his prison 20 block away from whereever you might go because he can smell up to 20 blocks far

If you didn't know, small skulk groups can also mean that ancient cities are somewhere underground near.

“The deep dark can’t spawn any other mobs” The ones on Bedrock are broken then

The Warden has the same amount of health as the hard difficulty Bedrock Wither, so basically as long as we have good Netherite armor, half a stack of Notch apples, and some strength, swiftness, and regen pots, hard difficulty Bedrock players will have no problem with the guy.
