Richard is so nice. When I lived here, I used to go into Rogues Den every other week, and they're the nicest people. A wonderful place to relax and play games, and usually catered to any customers who came through, even showed off some things early, if possible. Bought so much Warhammer and DnD stuff here.

When I saw that his first encounter was with people at a card shop, I felt relieved. I've found them to be some of the most accepting places in towns in cities even though I don't really play that much.

I'm not always a big fan of your content, Niko, but this for sure gave me a good reason to continue believing that you're a great, brave guy. Props to you, mate.

Thanks for this video. I live in Harrison, and have for about eight years. It is a great little town with an unfortunately false reputation. We don't like the billboards, or the negative influence of the Robb family and others associated with them. We have local residents who have fought for years to remove the billboards and battle the reputation. Also, that kid wasn't carrying a gun :) It was a pocket knife in a leather case.

@Zulema Barrett depends on where you live honestly. In SOME smaller towns like this, yes. It's just that you've got a lot of generational positions and what not. People get job positions based on who the know and not actual qualifications. Those are family connections that go back pretty far sometimes. This leads to sometimes near complete like minded people in the highest positions of authority in that area. Police, judges, social workers, county clerks, county attorneys, etc. So you're outnumbered if one of their like minded buddies, family members, whatever does something something wrong to someone else and this can include harrassment, intimidation, assault and murder. The odds can be be against you, even though it's not right. I was born and raised in one of these towns and I thank God that my mother's side of the family was from a different part of the state and much larger city. She absolutely would never allow or stand for any racist belief to be instilled in my sister and I. When I was in elementary school our principal retired. We got a new one, who was black. He was gone within one week. Was ran off the road several times, being harassed (he had a pregnant wife and other small children with him mind you) and the local police would do nothing. There is still a place called "N*gger Creek" there (this is in Kentucky) and they legitimately used to hang people of color from the trees out by this creek. They refuse to change the name. I don't live there anymore. Even my white son was bullied at school there for NOT being racist, not wearing the cowboy boots, straight legged jeans, listening to emo/punk/rap music instead of country and not participating in the schools (literally I am not kidding you) MULLET COMPETITION. My sister still lives there, as does my grandma that is so terrible that I don't even speak to and my mom moved back there recently to be closer to her job. She has worked at the local hospital for so long and is so close to retiring and also has health issues, so it makes sense for her at her age. I've noticed going back for the first couple times in maaany years that it isn't AS BAD as it used to be, but still it is very very bad by today's standards. I understand why it would it would shock people to hear this because there are people just 30 minutes away one county over that are shocked by it. It's a night and day difference over that county line.. which is so bizarre to me. But yes, it can happen. It is very real. I'm glad Nico didn't experience what these people and places can be like at their worst. That man wouldn't have been so kind if he wasn't literally trying to save face for what he stupidly (& hilariously) thought was an major publication BBC interview.
