I'm sure it's been said in many comments, it's all about the kids, I went through the same procedure with 2 boys at age 5 and 7 20 plus years later one is a RIT graduate working at Space X computer security the other is a Clarkson graduate computer programer at IBM my point is the kids need 2 stable households

I have friends who have gone through something very similar to your situation. The thing that got me about this was your ex wanted soul custody of your son, but you wanted shared custody. If she had been awarded soul custody it would have been up to her how much you got to see your son. Statistically a child does better when both parents are involved equally, or at least as close to equally as possible in their life, even if the parents are no longer married or in a committed relationship. So having both of you in his life was definitely what was best for your son. Anyway that's just my two cents, and I hope things start to get back to normal for you as soon as possible.

You're gonna have to make changes in your life, which feels completely impossible at the moment but will get a lot easier with time. If you stick to it, find other hobbies etc, you will look back at this a year from now and scuff at how much you valued your computer. Focus on getting better and you might even find a way to keep doing your hobby, there are special mice designed to prevent wrist injuries, for example. Most importantly, keep your head up!
