At $360 USD to buy, ship and import into the UK, I simply cannot justify the cost, despite this looking like such a good product. Add the 40oz water bottle to go with it and it's an eye watering $421 USD 😢

@marksmanmerc1 It is on the large side as a carry-on for planes. I pass the muster with my bag by filling it 75% of the way and squishing it through the machines they use to measure. What I'd be using the LTT bag for is day to day trips between me, friends and family. Being able to have my stuff with me in a comfortable way. ALSO, if I went to a LAN, similar or other trips obviously. I should probably clarify that by carry-on I mean the small bag you're allowed to carry, not the bigger luggage.

I absolutely love everything about this, from the space, the detail and care going into the design and materials... even the colour scheme is basically as it would be if I could customize it myself. It's my dream backpack... It just costs too much for me. Especially with shipping, import and VAT having it sent to me here in Norway, which would probably take the price up to $335.

If you want something similar, yet cheaper, get a Samsonite one, might have a few pockets less, but similar priced ones have built in USB sockets, wireless charging pads to use with power banks etc. Honestly, i was expecting more tech-like features from the backpack, especially at this pricepoint.

This is a really well designed backpack and probably would be the last I owned, but for over $300 CAD, I still wish for slightly more features. I know Linus is always open to any improvements, so please hear me out! I could add that the sunglass holder can be placed below the outer pocket, that way it can have a hard shell. Having it at the bottom is an unexpected area to have sunglasses for thieves, and having vertical zippers would allow you to quickly store/retrieve them without any awkward arm reaching or removing the backpack. Also, one of the selling points in bags especially in Asia is blade-resistant bottoms. It’s common for thieves to slice the bottom of the bag and loot your stuff before you get a chance to react. One final addition could be outer clips or straps to carry large objects, I really enjoy the two straps on my backpack currently so I can carry around a small skateboard. To go above and beyond, I would have a collapsable expansion area on the main compartment if the issue was storing bulky items. I hope Linus sees this! It’s a great bag, but for that price point it has to be absolutely perfect.

Vor 9 Tage

@William Eldridge You've never been to a dense city? You literally can't walk anywhere without at some point having somebody within 1-2ft behind you, a distance at which they can run up to your backpack and slash it in a second. You can wear your backpack backwards all day if it makes you feel better, but realistically I don't think that's gonna dissuade thieves that much. They often work in teams, so it wouldn't be that much harder for one to shove you off balance while another slashes your bag even from the front.

The only gripe I have with the design is the fact that the water bottle holder is on the inside rather than the outside. I generally want my waterbottle to have a pouch on the outside for quick access and it's basically a dealbreaker for me that this bag doesn't have an external water bottle pouch

@Excellent First of all if he paid $60 per bag they sold for the local event that's his choice, equally how did he calculate the loss? Did he include all wages for the employees to be there too? What about the food there that I saw? Maybe he even included the sqft costs as well... Claiming a loss is like claiming a profit on a item it comes down to how one calculates it and as long as these claims are not for the purpose of fraud they are fair game. Plus let's not forget one thing those units are possibly pre mass production units and maybe a pre run of a 100-250 units to ensure all works according to plan, in other words higher costs (arrival of wave one isn't till Sept) to produce, however since I haven't watched the wan show in ages idk when this happened and yes time of the event matters when you're shipping stuff from China as they could very well be from the first wave. A lot of this should be self explanatory even if one only watches lmg videos as Linus even talked about designing things in a fairly recent video... You're second argument about profit, 100% does in fact exist, just not usually on this kind of product. $25-50 would likely be their profit at $150 from production IF their quality claims/design choices actually cost them significantly more compared to the competition (adding more stitching takes seconds to do and costs are insignificant). If not then even at $150 their profits should be higher, remember Eddie Bauer is currently selling their equivalent for $90 Canadian and that still has to be profitable for them else they wouldn't put it on at that price... And I can for one guarantee you rivets of airplane grade are actually fairly cheap when bought in bulk, as are the buckles. As for your claim "they won't sell more than 10k units" you might want to check their site on that... There's less than 1200 units left for wave 2 or in other words nearly 20k units sold already, and I bet there's people still on the fence on buying one... Recycled plastic is cheaper when done by a competent company/country/government, you think because the article is old makes it less relevant? Esp with current oil prices caused by Russia? Any amount of research would prove you wrong and reusing plastics is less intensive than making new (it's not a by product like mineral oil), so why does most of our stuff end up in dumps incinerators or overseas? Infrastructure, the plants we have are few and yes they do make a profit, why don't we have more? The Gov pays companies to collect sort and dispose of the items in profitable manner we hand over, they don't(or didn't) regulate how to do so. In other words sorting plastics is expensive with possibly low profits and is usually cheaper to toss or ship out of the country with little to no repercussions (as pointed out in the article, as you mentioned, just remember cheaper isn't the same as no profit), compare that to paper (20 years ago it was expensive too) glass and metals of which each have a easy sorting method and one has a really high value, these methods are water, violence, and magnets. Now let's say we can cheaply and effectively sort the plastics by opening more plants I bet you're unaware colour makes a difference in how recyclable a item is and where it can be used next. Well guess what it does (this holds true to paper as well), and why Coca Cola is removing green from it's bottles https://www.cnn.com/2022/07/27/business/sprite-green-bottle/index.html TL;TR is your lack of knowledge shows you only know what is spoon feed to you by the mass media and those like me who look into things and never questioning it (unless it goes against what you know) therefore never doing your own research. To answer your last question why everyone isn't/won't do it? Quality, some items have to be virgin and can't be from recycled, most items we use don't fall under this category which is why you're starting to see bottles (esp water) advertise the amount of recycled content in their products. Another likelihood is supply, just because it's cheaper doesn't make it abundant, that would require a higher recycling rate, aka banning the burning and dumping of plastics till then we'll be stuck in plastic hell... Fyi there's tons of videos on this matter esp when it hit mainstream a few years back, the one I remember seeing I couldn't find quickly so maybe it was removed from YouTube. One video by the CBC the idiot who talks on behalf of the plastics manufacturing in Canada claimed plastic bags are good not evil, yet everyone should know how much b.s.this claim is as you can't curb recycle them and for most returning them is annoying and not worth it most of the time.

Vor 10 Tage
Excellent

@Egg-Roll On the WAN show Linus said they paid $60 to airship the ones they sold locally and when they sold those for $250 they were sold at a loss. Also just listen to your own numbers for a second. $150 backpack? So what would the profit on that be? $10? $20? If it was 100% profit they would need to sell 3,333 of them to break even on a $500k investment let alone turn a profit. And of course 100% profit doesn't exist so lets say they make $50 profit, thats 10,000 backpacks needed to be sold to even break even. $25 profit is 25k to break even. I have no idea their profit margins, but I don't expect them to sell more than 10k backpacks. Do you? Also if buying recyled plastic was actually cheaper than every company would be doing it and we wouldn't be shipping our recyling to other countries only for them to dump it into the ocean. There was a period of time where this was true, but its not anymore. That article is from 2012 and even it says "Landfills, however, are the final resting place for most bottles. Ostensibly this is the cheaper option."

Vor 10 Tage

@The Slavic immigrant Got proof it costs millions? Cars cost millions to re/design and get to production ready, if a backpack costs millions then a single car should cost billions and Linus would have gone bankrupt before even producing a single bag lol... Developing their backpack shouldn't be more than 500K tops to get to the production stage, even after so many revisions. Kickstarter (successful not scam campaigns) have proven this.

Vor 11 Tage
Egg-Roll

@Nequeox For $250 (USD mind you, if CAD I'd be a bit more understanding) I would expect it to be made in the NA or EU... I get the first point but for $250 for a Chinese product? Unless we see first hand these working conditions in a video I can't justify the price. Also why is #2 more cost intensive? It shouldn't be... In fact it isn't that's why 90% of our recycling gets dumped/burned or sold (illegally) to 3rd world countries. Recycling plastic is cheaper than making new, but for 99% of the use it's not profitable. So most companies get the "cheaper" recycled material and charge extra for it. Before calling BS: "Each year, 29 billion plastic water bottles are produced for use in the United States, according to the Earth Policy Institute, an environmental organization in Washington, D.C. Manufacturing them requires the equivalent of 17 million barrels of crude oil, so rising oil and natural gas prices have only exacerbated the high price of virgin plastic. "Plastics News," a trade magazine, lists the recent price of PET virgin bottle resin pellets between 83 and 85 cents a pound, compared to only 58 to 66 cents a pound for PET recycled pellets." https://www.livescience.com/32231-does-recycling-plastic-cost-more-than-making-it.html And yes I know that's only one source but it's Sunday night and I have a life. The reality of LMGs merch is branding, the backpack is only worth 150 maybe 175 tops and that's including profits, you are effectively paying the Apple tax of LMG even after considering the engineering time and costs. I highly doubt Linus would lose money if he sold them for $150... (this is true for everything I know of on the LMG store, less maybe the Alpaca pillow lol, that shit is expensive like hell), in fact I think he would push more products at the lower price which could mean higher profits, turnover etc. He's trying to make his money back faster to lower risk, esp if the product turns shit after 1 year lol... I own a tee from him and it's still good so... Then again I own tees that are still in decent condition after 6 years of abuse lol. I own a Eddie Bauer backpack since 2019 I don't use backpacks frequently (I use my camera bag more often), I bought it for a trip and it worked no issues etc I packed it up with 30lb+ of stuff on my way home. I think it's the 29L version of the Cargo Backpack or the comparable version in 2019, and while it prob wouldn't outlast a LTT backpack on the daily use level based on their claims, but even that said unless the LTT backpack can outlast 2-3 EB backpacks on value wise (currently $90 CAD, or about 70 USD) it's not worth the price now is it? Just because you can swing 25lb of bricks in the bag today doesn't mean it can do that in 5 years time or even 2 years time, and that has yet to be seen as they have shown no testing no results to prove their claims outside of what they did. That said I do like many quality built aspects of the backpack AND if they ever put it on sale for around $150 USD I might just buy it. The interesting thing is both LMG and Eddie are advertising basically the same backpack at product description level at 2 completely different price tags 900D same material similar size, YKK zippers etc... So I'm curious as to if LMG can out last the EB in terms of years to justify the cost. EB's Bygone has metal latches like LTTs but lacks in possible quality of material. Ultimately I would love to see their backpack last long enough to justify the price but till proven how can anyone justify it outside of being a LTT fan and supporting the channel?

First of all, I love almost everything about this backpack (except for the orange interior). So many great design choices, so many great details, such clever solutions, such a great overall layout. I even have the need for a tech-focused backpack, as I work as a field system engineer. However, at this price point, a backpack especially from a new player in the market is extremely difficult for me to justify. I've watched the channel for years and have always trusted your guys's judgement, and I'm sure you've done a great job of designing this backpack. However, at 250$, this backpack better last me 10 years or more. And even though the most common failure points have been very well reinforced, there could easily be flaws lurking in places you wouldn't necessarily think of, that would render the backpack useless in just a couple of years. Were this a collaboration with a seasoned backpack designer like Lowepro, Peak Design, Herschel and the likes, or were there a long warranty of 5 years or something, I would have no problem paying this price, because I could be rather sure there are no oversights like this. But with the facts looking like they look now, it's very, very hard to justify 250$ for this backpack. I'll definitely have to wait until the first independent reviews show up, probably even until you can begin to gauge the robustness of this backpack (1 year in or something) before buying.

I’m on the fence about ordering one. I love the look and the quality, but it looks a little bulky for why I normally carry. I guess my question for anyone that already has one is: when not packed completely full, does the backpack compress down pretty good or does it hold that super thick look even when it’s not full? I’d love a smaller version of this same backpack at maybe $200.

@SirPandaEsq its not anti-consumerism, its an artificial life. if he says 5 years, youd get a lot of people at the 4.5 year mark vying for a replacement/refund. idk canadian law, but warranties are always *in addition* to consumer protection law. for example, under my local laws, if i expected the bag to last 5 years based on the advertising and the cost relative to similar products, and it was only warranted for 3 years, then i could still get my money back at the 4 year mark after consulting with the company. lifetime warranties are different and i respect them a whole lot more, though he is a small business so i can understand that that is scary for him, i do think its in order to do so.

I would say that for 250 $ you can choose between dozens of backpacks that will fit your specific needs and looks and that also come with a 3-year warranty (there are quite a few backpack review channels here on YT, that review premium backpacks for any imaginable uses). The only reason to buy the LTT backpack is if you want to make a sizeable donation to LTT and get a novelty item in return.

@Antimonkat Yeah exactly that's why it's target customer is the one who can afford exactly the niche item they want, not one who is looking for something cost-effective. Vor 9 Tage
Lekhaka Ananta

@Antimonkat Well, the issue is that with high quality materials everywhere, you only need one place to break at a critical location to render the whole thing awkward to use. So they've reinforced the 3 most common failure points. That should be cost effective. But the rest of the cost is in the premium materials on things that might not increase overall longevity of the bag. We have no idea if the 4th most common failure mode is now gonna get you. And if it does and renders your $250 bag less useable than a $20 bag, you'll be feeling pretty dumb. This is still great as a luxury-niche product but that's what it is. If you want it to be an economical product you can't be the early adopter. Wait for other companies to start selling reinforced strap attachments without the less necessary bells and whistles.

I can tell a LOT of thought went into designing this. Ordered one today. Can't wait until it arrives!

Hey Linus and friends, You guys have clearly put a lot of love and effort into this product, and it’s definitely something I’d buy. Y’all thought about everything wrong with other backpacks and adressed it, and I like the philosophy of “if I didn’t love it myself why would I sell it to my subscribers” that’s how you get and keep happy customers. I wish you the best with the upcoming Screwdriver and anything going on with LTT labs!

@JayVal90 This. All you need is good nylon. I used to go through bags bi-yearly until I switched to a 5.11 backpack. It has lasted me for over 10 years now and the only worn parts are the zipper pulls, some of which I've replaced with new paracord just because I could.

I didn't realize this was on sale until I saw that Wave 2 had started and was half way through. Wow. This is a hefty bag. I can't wait to use this for a daily bag. Though probably not for work as I keep that one separate to haul by basics to the office twice a week I have bought many bags over the years for the volume alone. Last one was a swiss logoed bag which honestly for what it holds is nice for large pocket, the shoulder straps suck. Also it has already seen basic stitches wear and tear. I have another vertical sling bag that worked well at the airport for a carry on but it does not have any space for many necessities only the bare minimum tech with some molle webbing.

I personally don't see how this is better than, say, peak design travel backpack, which also folds and not just top-down access, but that just further proves that a backpack is a really personal thing and everyone should just find their own. A couple years ago I moved to germany for work but was traveling back home (spain) every now and then and just carried my backpack with my personal and work laptop with me with some extra stuff, so I bought a targus backpack, and I always ended up needing extra bulk space in it for either a sweater that I would carry before the flight, maybe my headphones or other stuff. At first sight the bulk space seems overkill, but after a few years of using my backpack and seeing the LTT one, I think I'd rather have the extra space and not always need it than not having it and carrying an extra bag when I need the space. It's kind of a hindsight situation imo.

Looks great. A couple years ago I would have bought it without hesitation. My tech bag was a janky laptop bag that just happened to have good dividers and a lot of stow space for things like ext cords and every USB adapter you can imagine (to sound, to other usb types, to video, and different types of each as well as ethernet). Not only would it have fit in the LTT bag better, I would have been able to leave 80% of it wired in place with just a couple pieces that needed to come out to be fiddeled with. Hell would have just left one of my PoE switches right in the bag and had loose coils to grab and go, good clearance to route cord out and if needed a small usb fan to keep it cooled.

The backpack is $250, which .... is a lot ..., however, being that it is designed to last 10 years, I consider it an investment. Considering the amount of time and effort spent making sure this bag did not fall down where others did, I would consider the bag to be worth the asking price. However with that said I do hope that the price comes down as production ramps up. Also a thin version would be nice, when I travel most of the time its mostly just my laptop, mouse, charger and other such basic peripherals. It would be nice to have a thinner version for that kind of usecase.

This pack looks to have a lot going for it, and a lot of thought went into it. The problem I have with it and likely why I won’t be getting one is there is no retention at the top of the laptop pocket to keep it in place in the event of the backpack landing top first. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve traveled and my backpack has fallen off a luggage cart of knocked off a table and landed top first. Keeping the most expensive thing in my pack securely in place and cushioned is critical.

@Talha Hamayun Value is in the eye of the beholder. If people in the EU want to pay such rates, they’re welcome to, as it’s likely that anything that is not those rates will not be a viable nor available option for LTT for years to come. After wave 5 sells out, there is no guarantee that they’ll ever stock backpacks again at this point, especially with the liquidity cost, though Linus has alluded to the fact he wants to keep them in stock for awhile. Either way, they aren’t a clothing retailer they’re a tech reviewer.

The entire time I was watching this, I was like, "OK. That's all really neat. But the thing is just too thick for me." If you made another version that just wasn't as thick front to back, I'd buy it immediately. I'm thinking essentially the same bag, but without the pocket of holding. Either just get rid of it completely, or reduce it down to a sleeve. (My current backpack is an older Dell Essential 15 Laptop Backpack, for reference. For an everyday bag, I can't go much thicker than that. It's just too cumbersome.) With that said, I still might go for one of these to use as a travel / airport backpack. I travel overseas from time to time, and I always want to have all my absolute essentials in my carry on. (Plus snacks.) This would be perfect for that. Also, I'll definitely be buying a screwdriver once they're out.

This would actually be a pretty solid option for me, given that I fly short flights a lot with carry-on only, usually carrying 2 laptops, a steam deck and clothes along with a few other items. So it's almost like this is purpose built for my regular trips, and for the right bag that would get used regularly, it's worth spending a lot. Here are my top 3 concerns... 1. Linus says it fits under the seat... but does it really, when it's full? Because once all those clothes are in the main pocket, it sure looks like an overhead bin type of depth. I would absolutely be filling that pocket with clothes like he did. 2. A $250 USD backpack without a waist belt is a bit of a tough sell, and traveling, you're often walking pretty significant distances through an airport. I appreciate that there's a sternum strap but given that it's removable I'm slightly skeptical about the ergo there, too. For heavy loads this makes a difference. 3. LTT is Canadian... I'm Canadian. Why is my only option to buy in US funds? Does it ship from the USA? I'd sure like to support my Canuck brothers and sisters, but this is more than a little confusing.

@XDASH It entirely depends on what their numbers are to the EU though. We as individuals don't know their gross or net for their EU customers. If the numbers are too low then the costs involved aren't going to be worth it. Sure, cheaper shipping could lead to more sales, however the up tick in sales needs to outweigh the initial investment; as such if there ends up only being a 20% increase in net profits from this change, and the cost is going to match or be around that then it's just not worth it for them.

this backpack looks really, really sick. i do have a few thoughts/suggestions/wants, though: 1) have you guys thought about making a messenger-style bag with similar features? i always carry one with me, and would love a rugged, durable, well-thought out design similar to the way you designed the backpack. that would be an insta-buy. please, please, please make one. i typically go through a messenger-style bag every year and would love one that would last a longass time. 2) a hard, protective, molded, removable insert/case for the sunglasses compartment would be an awesome addition as well. i know you said you 'agonized' over it, but i think that making it as a removable, hard-shell insert (that, ideally, could double as a protective case you could put in your pocket) seems like it would be the best approach, so the user could decide whether or not they want to sacrifice main pocket storage in exchange for increased protection. i've been using the same frames for my prescription sunglasses for over 20 year, and would like to continue using them as long as i can 3) it would be awesome if the water bottle pocket was on the outside, instead of, or, in addition to, an internal one. isolating the internal one from the rest of the main pocket (in case of leakage), in it's own sectioned off internal pocket (preferably with it's own zipper) would be a massive plus - opening up your entire main pocket to get out the water bottle is, at best, inconvenient, but i'm thinking about traveling/con scenarios, where you don't want people around you to know how expensive./awesome the stuff you have in your bag is. i'm always worried about theft/muggings in those kind of situations. it also sucks to open up a bag's main compartment to get out a small item/water bottle in a situation where you packed the bag 100% full for travel and have to take a bunch of stuff out just to get to it. 4) the pocket on the inside of the front flap for the front pocket looks great for cables, but it seems like it might be much more useful if it was sectioned vertically, so that you could slide individual cables in side-by-side, without worrying about them getting tangled, or pulling out all the cables as a bunch when trying to pull out individual ones. i've been looking for the perfect bag for a long time, and this may be the ultimate backpack, although, i implore you guys to keep working on it, introducing a v2, v3 (etc.) over the years. iteration leads to perfection. the price on this bag does seem a bit steep, but it does seems justified. i can't afford to buy one right now (toys are expensive and awesome), but when i can i'll probably grab one for travel. a messenger-style bag would be much more suited to my daily use scenarios.

I just bought an AER Travel Pack 3 last week 🥲 This looks a bit chunkier for everyday carry while the travel pack 3 can compress for EDC. Also, I don't want tech specific cash but this still looks really appealing.

I’d love to see a smaller version with the same quality and organisation in the future. It seems very bulky to carry around for everyday work / school, especially if you are traveling on public transport.

The price is right for the materials used, i just dont think its a well designed backpack for most people. I dont want a nice potato sack for a backpack. I want a slimmer well designed compartment wise backpack for my day to day. Im sure it will appeal to the person that has to bring everything they own with them everywhere they go, but i dont think thats most people.

@Cim Not at all! This is a very reasonable price especially when you compare it to offerings from big players like Samsonite! I think you guys might just not be used to buying travel backpacks! The pricing is the norm the features and build quality of the LTT backpack is something else!

Just ordered this after getting my school supplies ready for my return to college since Covid. Realized my old bag had a hole in the bottom that a softball could fit through. It's expensive but I hope it will last me through my college years and beyond. Can't wait to get it (Wave 2)!

Me when Linus first announced a backpack: Omg wtf why does anyone need this?! How can you improve upon a backpack. Me while watching this video: omg why has no one done this before?! This is incredible and revolutionary! I keep forgetting how anal retentive and perfectionist Linus is and it REALLY comes in handy and shows with the products he makes. Well done Linus and team! Not sure I’ll be able to afford it anytime soon, but mine is about 15 years old and showing some wear.

@ZaPpaul I mean everything on this channel and most of LTT is an ad. Review places wouldn't get any products if it weren't an ad on some level. I have plenty of youtuber friends that run successful youtube channels reviewing things, Wouldn't be possible if they weren't provided new gear from the manufacturers. While it isn't influencing their review, it still is a form of ad. They wouldn't lend or give a 5k product if they weren't getting something in return. In LTT's case it's many eyeballs knowing it exists. Linus and team have good ethics so I trust them to tell the truth about whatever they are advertising. But I'm not gonna jump to buy something just because they said it was good.

@Lonegnr Economies of scale. Nike can subsidize their cost through order volume. LTT can’t, and correct me if I’m wrong but they’ve been pretty clear about it. In a way, the pre-order of the waves and the pieces volume inside them I believe is the closest LTT got without crippling their day to day. They want to make products for their fans, sure, but it also has to be economically feasible. Surely we can all understand why a custom made backpack would have a higher base price?

A bit superlative there. Many of these things have been done before. You just needed to go towards the more premium end of the market (not designer). I'd say the only real differentiator is three (and a half) protected device pockets. Most have two (and a half - maybe).

I've watched your video explaining why it costs so much, and tbh I've spent lots of money on backpacks before. The problem is that it's all up front, If I had a guarantee that this would last 15 years then I'd probably buy one. The issue is I've probably spent $200 on backpacks throughout my entire life, my current one has lasted 6 years and shows no sign of wearing out. It was $50 new and is decent, this one is definitely an improvement, but I can't say it's worth $200 extra. I'm sure that these will instantly sell out and hopefully the price can be reduced in the future due to economy of scale, but currently this is far outside my (and no doubt many others) budget for a backpack. Good going LTT crew, let's make round two even better!

One thing I see missing here is retention for the laptop slot. I've knocked my bag off a table more than a couple ot times and my laptop was saved by the velcro strap and upper end padding, so when it landed handle-end down it was restrained and shock-absorbed. Great otherwise though!

I was honestly pretty shook too- like it literally costs almost as much as an Oculus quest 2- but then kinda remembered "hey this is something I'd probably be using for as long, if not longer than I would an oculus, like well over 10 years" If I do get it, it won't be for another few months, but honestly even though it's scary at first if you think about it, it's actually not bad at all

Yeah, you can get really nice quality tech backpacks from Lowepro and the likes for much less. This is nice but much to fat, looks like a box or suitcase, if they did one without the front bag it would be slimmer and more of a daily driver, also cheaper.

Apparently the bag is 1.67 kg, which is kinda heavy compared to the 1kg ~ 1.2kg bags I've used. For the price and the weight, I'll pass and wait for a v2. One thing I'd like to see is anti-theft features. Korin ClickPack X and ClickPack Pro use anti-theft materials and have one of those RSA padlocks embedded into the bag. Maybe this will be in v2? I mean, if you're carrying so much expensive tech in a tech backpack, shouldn't you have anti-theft features to protect them? Someone could easily slash the bag and you'd want to use materials that are resistant to that. Also, maybe add a small pocket to the shoulder strap for a bus card or credit card. A lot of bags implement that feature these days. Also, as a tech bag, I can't believe it doesn't have a USB port. Most tech bags I've used allow you to put a battery bank inside the bag and have it connected to a USB port. You can then take your USB cable and extend from the USB port, to your device that you want to charge. The ClickPack X from Korin does this really well, where you can store a small cable inside the shoulder strap and take it out to quickly charge your phone.

Clearly a lot of thought has gone into the backpack and I think it looks great. I just have one issue; the price. I have no doubt that the R&D of the product and the cost of materials justifies the price, but $250 is a lot of money to a lot of people and with the current economic climate I don't know how many people have that kind of disposable income. I love the LTT products I do own, and I have no doubt I would love this, but it's an impossible sell for me personally at that price point.
