Today I tested 100 of the craziest myths in Destiny 2 to find out which ones are true and which ones are busted! We tested some absolutely insane things like: can an arcstrider travel faster than anything else in the game? Do some of your favorite exotics have hidden perks that you never knew existed? Can you prevent enemies from teleporting away and making you miss your shots? All of that and so much more is included in this video. I hope you enjoy and learn something interesting! Actually, I can practically guarantee you'll learn something new -- many of the myths in this video are not well-known!

1) Watch this next -- I Busted 150 More Myths in Destiny 2! -- https://youtu.be/s3qqxmbnZYE 2) Make sure to check out Clash of Clans using https://wehy.pe/y/2/ShadowDestiny #Clashofclans #ad 3) Corrections: -In my test of the Oathkeeper draw time, I used a lightweight bow. Oathkeeper did not improve the draw time. However, on non-lightweight bows, Oathkeeper does improve the draw time by an incredibly small (and in most cases irrelevant) amount of 0.033 seconds. It does not work on (some) lightweight bows because draw time cannot go below 500. -Some (but not all) weapons with ricochet rounds can also damage you if shot at your feet. Hope you enjoy the video!

For the finisher speed one, you don't have to be on the air, the target needs to, if they are it defaults to the base finisher and it does feel a lot faster

This works on warlock too, sometimes when I finish an enemy in mid air it does the default finisher (even when I don't have it favorited) and it's noticeably quicker

By “finisher in the air,” I believe they meant when the enemy is also in the air, you perform a fast finish on an enemy that immediately defaults to your default class finisher. Also some finishers drop heavy bricks from mods like lucent finisher faster and it’s based on when the enemy is actually killed and not the entire animation.
Vor 2 MonateEan The FrontierJustice
it did works

22:22 The draw speed is faster by 2 frames, extremely unnoticable unless you are doing frame perfect draws and releases back to back. I believe it was Aztec in one of his DPS tests that confirmed this.
Vor 2 MonateNathaniel C. Polley +14

FOR CALUS. You don't have to come out from under the stairs. Move forward when his first health bar is depleted, like he did to start the engagement, then back up again, then scoot over to left or right as far as possible, start firing and the Tormentors & Calus will move over to the right or left sides where you can shoot them, takes a little longer but you don't have to worry about being killed and starting over.
Vor 2 MonateAj +9
Oath keepers do decrease draw time by about 30ms. It's too small to be super noticeable but making it any better would make it too strong, so Bungie removed the text from the perk description in forsaken.
Vor 2 MonateShady One +11
14:10 Pineapples DO esxist in the Destiny universe. They're just extremely rare and unknown to many. Apart from the fact that they've been growing on Titan, there is a lore entry about Eris Morn when she gets some pineapple seeds brought from Titan by mysterious guardian called Enina. She actually planted them.
Vor 2 MonateRageYouTube +107
To add on to this myth @9:56, finishing an enemy while both mid-air is faster than ground
Vor 2 MonateMarceletta +13
can confirm. also, for finisher effects (like special finisher) there are some that are "faster" but the actual finisher timer is still the same. The only thing that changes is the actual kill portion of it.

Vor 2 MonateJared Jouben +40
Oathkeepers does increase draw time slightly. Aztecross made a damage testing video and he found out they increase the draw time slightly making the damage increase
Vor 2 MonateLuna holland +1
Its around 40ms faster draw
Vor 2 MonateVish-N-Chips
Beat me to it. If you just try to look at the animation side-by-side, it isn't noticeable. But if you watch Aztecross's damage tests, he gets more shots off during an entire damage phase with Oathkeepers on. Worth equipping if you use Wish-Ender or Leviathan's Breath for DPS
Vor 2 MonateBurk Sweitzer
The airborne finisher requires the enemy to be fully in the air, but also certain finishers get the kill earlier in the animation which is very useful for stuff like Aeons. It more reliably spawns the ammo when the enemy is still under fire from allies or DoTs
Vor 2 MonateEnVokE +2
The bonus loot from Terminal Overload myth also has another really cool effect. Equip crafted weapons that you need to level up, and each time you loot the chest, it gives roughly 27% per chest loot per weapon
Vor 2 MonateRaúl Montoya Zúñiga +40
9:40 I'll have to correct you on that myth. The enemy must be at least two feet in the air for the finisher to accelerate. It usually happens a lot with Champions when you do a lot of explosive damage with teammates and adding Suspend "helps" with that. Check it out for yourself in another video.

Vor 2 MonateCsányi Miklós

10:50 sometimes older consoles would hit a load zone when entering the bazaar from the courtyard, but there wasn’t one when leaving the annex. In that case taking the stairs may have been faster
Vor 2 MonateSloth Overlord
I’ve noticed a few weird interactions with arc Titan thruster. If you use it on surfaces like stairs it will very often bug out and you’ll float there for a second or two. Also, I started playing with Antaeus wards recently and when the perk is ready, using thruster appears to activate it. Haven’t tested whether it actually reflects incoming damage.
Vor MonatMizuki +23
@Shadow Destiny Fun fact: Pineapples if I'm correct on the lore tab, they do exist, Eris asked a Titan to find her a pineapple as a joke to get rid of them, but they took it as a serious request and it took them awhile but apparently pineapples disappeared for almost a century, just to suddenly reappear all of a sudden, even though it was only a few
Vor 2 MonateMozeyTown +6
Pineapples and Eris are always a disastrous combination in lore. In the Season of Arrivals lore book The Singular Exegete, she finds a recipe for pineapple fried rice and spends the entire lore book trying to recreate it. She sends a guardian she finds annoying to bring her pineapples, thinking they don't actually exist, but the guardian finds pineapple seeds on the Arcology on Titan. Eris can't grow them in Io's ground, so she makes a little garden out of "treated soil, asteroid powder, and a bacterial paste that looks like bouillon" and plants them. Not realizing the fruit grows underground, she observes the purple thistle-like flowers, contemplates eating them, and decides against it, worried about poison. From then on, pineapples are always a sore spot for her; she's convinced the idea of eating pineapples is a joke and gets angry at anyone who mentions it, thinking they're trying to prank her.
Vor 2 MonateSeven Lexar +2
@MozeyTown The fruit part of pineapples doesn't grow underground though? They're not the plant's root; they're berries that grow fused together. They do, however, look kinda funky, and take a very long time to reach edible maturity from the time of planting. Over two years, according to google. It's really no wonder she never got fruit.
Vor 2 MonateMozeyTown
@Seven Lexar wow, TIL. Thanks for the correction!

The ghost blocking shots is probably referring to modes with reviving other guardians. When you have the big blue orb you interact with it seems to indeed block your shots when it gets between you and the enemy.
Vor 2 MonateColton Robbins +1
yeah, was gonna say. Ive heard of the myth before but never in normal crucible modes. Its only if the ghost is doing the orb animation for a res, def needs to be retested in that mode instead as both a teammates and enemies. (but I am also fairly certain its a known thing it does block shots in those modes)
Vor MonatTwist the friendly hunter +1
The finisher if a enemy is mid air or suspended is quicker as it defaults to a normal finisher that is faster than the ground based ones. Also 14:29 You can pull out your sparrow in that area during the battlegrounds to skip a lot. The overload chest can be looted up to 4 times with the AoT sparrow and if you are fast enough.
Vor 2 MonateFawse +3
I think I posted this on the last one, but some finishers being faster only refers to the speed at which the enemy dies, not the overall animation time All finishers are the same from start to end, but the point in the animation at which the enemy dies will vary, meaning some are better for activating on-kill abilities As an example, Sure Shot on Hunter kills the enemy super quickly after the finisher starts, meaning stuff like invis on finish activates much earlier and makes the finisher safer, but then there’s an extra animation of your character twirling the gun to normalize the length of the finisher with others

You need to retest Oathkeeper, it does decrease Draw Time, but it doesn't go below the minimum (500 for Lightweights, 540 for Precisions). It's roughly the equivalent to a Draw Time Masterwork. So try out a Lightweight with 540 or above or any Precision bow.
Vor 2 MonateArmitage Shanks
You don't have to leave under the stairs to defeat Calus, right as he transitions to melee mode just crawl forward onto the pipe where you triggered Calus at the start of encounter. Calus will stand in a spot where you can shoot him, you just need to sit on the edge of the pipe and he will stand like a dumb sh*t in plain view for you to keep killing him. You can even kill the Tormenters while doing this, and sometimes you actually have to because they keep getting in the way.
Vor 2 MonateGLD
Hey, its important to realize that while you are locked into the finisher animation regardless of how long it takes for the kill, some finishers will actually kill the ad faster then others. This is important for some builds like assassins cowl, because you prock invis/heal earlier in the finisher animation.
Vor 10 TageGrabbypaws Dralek
I think the reason why people think doing damage to the engines on threshers did more than on the body was probably due to the way range works; since the engine is closer to you at certain angles, it is technically "closer" and thus takes more damage.
Vor 2 MonateYarisher +1
10:18 While it doesn`t increase the actual range, it will increase the range of grappling on a grapple point and will help you save the grapple energy
Vor 2 MonateHero10_ +4
I have a fun one in the Tower, I think we all know that you can do the floor is lava minigame in the tower to gain the quickness perk to jump and run really high. The fun part is that it actually stacks with the guardian rising perk u gain when leveling up in the guardian ranks, its quite difficult to get since getting guardian ranks is quite hard, but really fun cuz it allows you to jump super high!
Vor 2 Monateradtacular22
With regard to the finisher speed one, my belief/understanding is not so much that certain finishers are faster in terms of the entire animation, but rather that certain of them kill the enemy faster (i.e., sooner in the course of the animation). This matters when you're running special ammo finisher or Aeon's or Lucent Finisher and are trying to get the finish kill before something like Witherhoard or Osteo gets the kill mid-finisher animation. I imagine we've all experienced that, where you do the finisher and it goes through the animation, but no ammo spawns (and it doesn't count toward bounty progress) because the enemy otherwise died mid-animation. Finishers like Gladiator Bladerush feature the kill earlier in the animation, potentially decreasing your chances of being thwarted by those other influences. At least, that's my belief and understanding.
Vor 2 MonateGhosst Assassin
You don't actually need to leave the steps to defeat calus' second stage. When the bubble starts to form you just walk up to the stage, like how you started the fight and you get locked in under there. However it does take a lot longer to defeat him as you can't shoot his head, only his chest down.

Not sure if this counts as a secret/myth, but if you go to the Farm, where Mithrax used to be for the Zero Hour mission is now a makeshift hospital with injured Eliksni and Humans in it. People lying on hospital beds, etc. Also on Neomuna, if you go into the Typhon Imperator, if you keep following the path, you will eventually go through a portal, and if you continue, you will eventually reach a large circular room. This room was in the mission in the campaign where at the end Caiatl holds off the enemies as you escape down a very long path with your sparrow (I forgot the name of the mission). When you are on patrol and you are traveling through the Typhon Imperator, as soon as you reach the entrance to that room, make a right and you'll see a shelf with some urns on it. If you approach it, it will have a prompt to interact, and then you will get a text in the lower left hand of your screen about a beacon. Turn around and you'll see some sort of vex cube, run up to it and as you run through it, it will despawn and spawn another one a bit further away in front of you. Do this until you hit the last cube. Completing this will grant 100 Neomuna rank. It worked for me one time, but I haven't been able to replicate it. Maybe it's only once per character or is on a cooldown or something. Idk if any of this is useful, but I just found it interesting. Great video as always.

About the finishers not being faster than each other… I feel that yes, the time spent in the animation is the same speed between all finishers, but the point of which the enemy dies in the animation is different. For instance the solar hunter finisher that costs silver I feel kills the enemy much earlier in the animation than many other finishers. If this is something you can test that would be greatly appreciated and would finally put a rest to the finisher speed debate. Please like this post so it can be seen. Edit: the finisher I am talking about is named sure shot
Vor 2 Monateeric venturino +1
Oathkeepers does increase your draw speed on bows. But only by something like 2-4 frames so its basically non existent. However on a long boss dps phase it can allows 1 exta shot from leviathans breath.

Myth: driving with your sparrow off of a high building then jumping off while in the air can let you jump much farther than normal. Handy for getting around Neomuna during the campaign before unlocking grapple. Also, using a finisher on an explosive shank of cursed thrall will not kill you, and at least on Xbox at the time this video came out, you can't view your own commendations page.

In regards to making the Taken Blight public event Heroic, if you destroy the first 2 rounds of blights and then on the last round damage the big blight in the sky, it will take way less ammo than if you were to tey to destroy the big blight on the first round of blights. If i remember correctly, it took 5 Wardcliff Coil shots to destroy the big sky blight on the first round of Blights, verses the 2 or 3 needed if you get to the third round of blights. (I did test this around the Forsaken era, but I still think it's the same.)

If you hipfire a rocket launcher enemies will not teleport away. Thought about this when you did the myth about going into cover to prevent teleports
Vor 2 MonateLifelessTooth
Out of all the comments you could have picked to test the finisher speed, you picked the one that was also wrong. Hunters have a unique finisher animation in Eververse where they hipfire a golden gun shot at the target very quickly and then twirl the gun before holstering it. From beginning to end, the animation takes the same amount of time as any other, but the enemy is _killed_ much faster than any other animation in the game. This helps a lot in GMs when you're running Aeons and have to do a finisher while under fire.

The Finisher one is a liitle bit bugged, because if you finish for Example a Witch, and you didn't have your default Finisher marked as Favorite, it will switch to the default and does it faster. The mid-air finisher being faster is a thing. Actually, I'm a warlock and when in air I see my warlock doing the default warlock finisher (when I have a different finisher on) almost instantly going straight for the punch rather than charging up then finishing. It happens at random.

Shadow bein sponsored by Clash!!!!! Congrats dude you deserve it Also, for the midair finisher, the target must be in the air. It does seem much faster

I have bad memories with the shoulder charge. Once at gatekeepers I dashed off with the relic. It was sad and I inmeadietly switched to another melee so I can repeatedly use the relic melee mid air

another "myth" / unkown thing: the wave from your wave frame gl can pass through your rally barricade but NOT through your wall barricade. Awsome vid btw! really enjoy these types of videos!

The calus one has killed me multiple times. Sometimes his shots go right through the stairs and one tap

After a Crucible/Gambit match you can give commendations to the other team. If you go to the scoreboard and hit the star, that's how you do it.

Shoulder charge can actually be used before the on screen wind lines show up. This is because bungie buffed it a long time ago but never updated the vfx. The current window is 1second from sprint to activate

19:10 Its much better to do this with a sparrow, you can move them much further and faster, but you can end up making them float in the air and to fix it you just need to spawn your sparrow above them and fall on their heads to knock them back down to the ground lol.

How have you not ran out of myths to bust!? This is incredible 😂 thank you.

The finisher myth is true. It’s not when you finish from mid air that it goes faster. It’s when you’re mid air and the enemy is also mid air. I’ve used it a lot on the default Warlock finisher.
Vor 2 MonateSinisterBlade786 *TIME-LOST*
9:52 when you perform the finisher the enemy has to be in mid air too it basically just skips half of the finisher animation when you and the enemy are in mid air at the same time your default animation will activate even if it’s not in your inventory.

Pineapple DOES exist, Fenchurch had it and made fried rice for Eris. The clip you showed was a reference to the lore where Eris was confused by it thinking a pineapple was a hybrid fruit and sent a Hunter to the archeology to find some of these “modified” seeds

Conditional fanality can benefit from both stasis and solar mods (to proc solar surge you need to be at 1 or 0 of magazine and gain armor charge after it).

Yeah, we really need to get to the same level of courtesy with tangles that we did with Warmind Cells at their height. It was an unspoken rule(well sometimes it was spoken pretty loud I guess) that you never shoot other ppl's Warmind Cells and most ppl abided by this, including usually clueless random blueberries, yet now anytime someone sees a tangle they immediately shoot or pick it up. It's annoying when you have a Strand weapon on and the artifact perks and they do not which is wasting it and it's even worse when it's in pvp cause they're much rarer there and they're part of my build. Some random guy just yoinking my tangle and throwing it at a wall when I was intending to use it to yeet myself across the map to their spawn while keeping my grapple is extremely annoying. Hopefully the longer they're in the game we can eventually get back to where we were with Warmind Cells but I doubt it.

Have you heard of the glitch with Symmetry. If you activate the alternate fire mode then swapped to your primary, an arc line appears on your screen but only when looking a certain direction.

Here’s one for you, if you get the jump buff in the tower then get on the tree by Cayde’s grave you can jump on the roof, now the roof is out of bounds but you can fall through the floor and explore inside the walls of the tower.

The trespasser one is just because of ricochet rounds bouncing off the ground into you, no? So any weapon with ricochet should theoretically be able to do it
