Absolutely beautiful! It’s awesome that he’s bringing these beat up boats back to life. I live in homestead Florida, 20 mins from Miami,unfortunately in some of the more rural areas people abandoned old boats, jet skis and dump trash. I always thought it would be cool to salvage one. Now every time I see one I think of this man and his extraordinary skills

Sir, I don't know who you are and what you're all about, but you have earned my respect. You are a master builder--a one-man boat maker of immense talent, skill, and perseverance! I have never sat through an entire build like this. I was completely transfixed! No blueprints, no bs--just a lot of patience and measuring and more patience! And the end product is well worth it! Amazing little speedboat, sir, and for that, you have earned my sub! Keep building, and we'll keep watching!

This man is a genius. That engine rebuild was just a work of art and an almost impossible task never mind the rest of the work.

Absolutely amazing! Fantastic use of existing materials, and the perform a full engine rebuild, while retaining most of the parts that were submerged in sea water is mind blowing!

I cant find the best words to describe that how amazingly and ferociously you're talented, huge and huge respect, I love to watch restoration videos and I had already watched thousands of videos, but trust me this is the best ever, and I am damn sure that no one will come up with better one in the comparison of this restoration. Many genius would not even imagine to touch their hand on such engine which was drastically rusted. And best part that I was not even think and expect that you will use the same boat😂, every inch of work was amazingly amazing

I've seen a lot, no wait, "A LOT" of DIY videos and this one was by far the coolest I've seen. The sheer dedication, attention to detail, the absolute artistic, creative and craftsmanship know how was insane!! Just an absolute pleasure to watch!

I can't even begin to explain how this man can take to most destroyed parts and make them new again, a moter that beat and water logged and make it look and run like new and the entire build I'm just lost for words!!!! Amazing!! The world needs more people like you in it!!!!

The fact that he resurrected that engine is incredible. Who knows how long it will last though, can't say I've ever seen somebody set valves with a piece of cardboard and install a head without a torque wrench. Why go through all that work just to re-use the head gasket? Very impressed the way he engineered the boat with almost all repurposed parts and materials.

I am 13:08 into this and I no kidding am completely blown away at the fact he went to the beach pulled this engine out of the sand stripped it down and rebuilt it with its old parts! I use to work for Dodge, Jeep and Chrysler as a line 1 tech. You cant even get parts to last that long on cars! WOW much respect!

I've seen a lot of rebuild videos, yet this is by far on another level. Craftsmanship is one thing, but the imagination and creativity to make something out of pretty much nothing is what makes it incredible!

Like others have said, salvaging the engine was itself incredible, but everything else from the precision of the work to the design of the boat has me speechless.

Like you can't fake that the original hull was broken and he completely redid it. It's just there in the two other videos in his channel

Nahh maen chopped strand only with 0 surface cleaning for the resin. 🤣 100% guaranteed as long as the YT video lasts. Also wondering how those open doors and closed cabin shed sideways waves and don't put the boat back where they found it.

Absolutely impressive creativity and skills. Just watched this whole video with my kid because we couldn't believe anyone could restore such an engine. Inspiring!

He's a diesel mechanic, plumber, electrician, welder, metal fabricator, he can run a lathe, fiberglass work, carpenter, he does engineering design work, painter, and finally, a captain! You're awesome!!

The sheer engine rebuild is absolutely something else. It's fascinating, that something most of us would have called trash, can be brought back to life, and MANUALLY, with hand work. I mean, just wow.

@I Am Empyrean Ya, but even the CNC is not a modern automated machine like most are now adays. Still manual labor. I was thinking about that when I wrote the original post, but in my book, everything done is manual, with no automation support.

Yeah it feels humbling to know if my life depended on me replicating this engine rebuild I'd be dead...

There was a lot of CNC mill work done here. Definitely not entirely done by hand, per se. Very impressive knowledge to be able to restore such a corroded engine. Very few have that kind of skillset anymore after factorization upended the individual craftsman.

One of the coolest videos like this I've ever watched! I have never seen anything this good come from almost nothing. You are the embodiment of tenacity! May your turbo last long and give you boost for many years to come! (Enjoy the fruits of your labor!) If this is what you can do with some junk, I cannot imagine what you'd be doing if you were in America! This boat is super cool! I love the style! Wow!

This is probably the best example of mechanical talent and skill I have ever seen! You deserve some sort of HUGE reward for doing this and showing the world your amazing skills! You have awesome work ethic as well as drive,, it's really amazing!

Safety concerns apart (using hands to wash parts in Aceton or benzine, testing an engine while simply holding it, welding without eye protection, the list goes on...), I have to say that just the engine restoration was more than impressive.

We used to have real mechanics here but now, they can't do anything besides an oil change unless they can hook your car up to a $500,000 diagnostic machine for it to tell them what to do and they wouldn't have even touched that engine, much less clean it up. You are a man of many skills and talents and MacGyver has nothing over you with your ingenuity and abilities. I had a huge smile on my face when you jumped in the boat to take it for a ride, it reminded me of a couple James Bond movies, "Live and Let Die" and "The Man with the Golden Gun" 😁 I look forward to your other videos and you got another subscriber. 🛥💨👍✨🔥💥

I respect the abilities and commitment. Very nice little speedster. The only negative I would have at all is the designating it as a yacht.

Hard to know what to even say... cardboard for gaskets, and it works fine. That's not something they want you to know It's game over for parts manufacturers if this man gets his way. Awesome.

Omg...my mind could not be more blown. this incredible boat build was literally the most amazing thing ive ever seen anyone design & build purely by their own imagination & ingenuity, (completely by HAND, mind you) with nothing but scavenged junk found along the side of the road for building materials. i watched him do it with my own eyes & i still cant believe the outcome. his understanding of mechanical engineering is on a level all its own. mannn....being soo talented at your craft must be a satisfying feeling. what an accomplishment. 👏🙌👍👌

Отличная работа! Хорошая команда! Про безопасность отдельный разговор конечно. Удивило что движок из моря и все гайки открутились. Тут порой сайлентблоки раз в год меняешь и болты срезать приходится… а здесь много лет в солёной воде и только на турбине два болта не отошли! Удивительно конечно

@Ivan Kurdov вот об этом и речь, я видел подобные видео! Такое ощущение что они только для обрастания их кидают. Где то не помню где, видел информацию что по времени это не долго. Зависит от района и зависит материала предмета. Требуется мнение специалистов)

@Айдар Молдошев он же трубу с боку сделал, забор забортной воды. Тут два варианта, либо он реально забортной охлаждается, либо у него двух контурная система с теплообменником

The fact that the engine could be restored at all is amazing, but to do so in flip-flops in what amounts to a home shop and then have it run smoke-free is beyond stellar. How the hell does that happen without magic? This guy has my permission, forever, to fix anything I own in disrepair (of which there are quite a few items) anytime he chooses!

Right? welding in flip flops is a mistake most of us only make once....Not all heroes wear capes apparently

I agree, he is really know the job, I have been working at garage shop. Repairing transmission when we pull down everything and clean up. The other person that do the fixing up is very skill It run so good no smoking

Not...reality...I have worked with numerous engines and electronics in just fresh water flooded boats and cars and very seldom does slapping some spit and biscuit dough on them fix it. There's almost always repairs that get down to the micro soldering level or something that needs more than resurfacing and is discovered only after magnafluxing. There's some fast hands and hard work behind the scene here to salvage what appears to be an otherwise junk rebuilt. There's definitely some interesting techniques in trying to resurface some of the parts, and some of the tooling is pretty ingenious (no reverse gear is rough in a boat) but if everything that came out of that engine went back into it...it's an absolute miracle.

Especially the electrics and fine internal passageways of carbs, etc.. And grinding down pistons without having to sleeve feels like magic. To be honest, I'm a bit mystified at how a salt corroded alternator can just be surface cleaned and work fine. But then I've never arc welded an entire boat cabin frame without at least dark goggles. This guy though - he just blinks - that's pretty hardcore. Or he's damaged his retinas...

I find it hard to believe the rebuilder would use the old head gasket, maybe the old pan gasket, both are asking for leaks. I saw new crank bearings so most likely showing the old gaskets was for the video and not actually used in the engine rebuild. This guy has plenty of skills and time, ready for hire, just about anywhere. Sam in Portland Oregon says hello!

The skill and ability shown during this restoration is absolutely amazing. The engine rebuild alone down to the point of polishing the crank is very impressive, and the steering mechanism and design was very creative as well. My hat is off to you sir as you are truly a gifted individual, well done.

This has to be one of the most heart-warming boat builds I've seen in a very long time. Congratulations on your imagination, building skills and perseverence in completing such an excellent boat!

When I read yacht - and started with a small boat, I thought you were going to splice it with another bigger boat to make a real yacht. But anyway - great job, beautiful design!. I bet you could make a real yacht.

The elbow grease required for this "runabout", is astounding. Time lapse allows us to see a 90 day 10 hr/day process in 30 minutes. Just what the average youtuber requires. Not only was the re-build more than difficult, the DIY stick welding was a miracle with questionable voltage available. And what about the fiberglass work? In spite of monsoon rains and humidity, Mr. Ho Thanh Che managed to find an amazing hull, that is not only stable, but planes easily. This boat was free, but the labor is worth 20,000 US. Question: How does your creation ride in some chop? Have you improved the cable steering and tankage? Does it do 45 knots with two passengers?

This was one of the most meticulous and well done jobs any of us have seen on YouTube. Your consistency, effort, dexterity and attention to detail was all very well done. Absolutely Amazing ,my only negative comment is something i learned the hard way myself i understand you are a young Man and it’s difficult to understand how working with all those Chemicals and different Machinery for grinding and Scrubbing will affect you longterm as you get older ,I was the same way at your age and ironically it was mostly Boating that i was involved with building ,fixing ,and Restoring all those Toxic Chemicals using bare hands get absorbed quickly and wind up in your Bloodstream being exposed to every system in your body i highly suggest that you invest in good safetey Equipment like Respirators , and heavy Duty Rubber gloves the items are very inexpensive and easily available with the Internet and other Venues ,trust me your body will appreciate it if you do and if you don’t your body could hate the longterm affects those affected most will be your Lungs ,Kidneys, and Liver all of which are designed to filter toxins out of our major Organs and keep Us Healthy , and without taking care of those we can and will wind up having many MedicalIssues in Middle Age and beyond i’m fairly positive that for myself the Exposure i had as a Teenager working in the Marine Industry caused severe brainInjuries and actually wound up putting me in a WheelChair inMy 40s
