All the homes you toured were beautiful. I especially loved the bathroom @6:37 and the Japenese style bath. It was so nice to see spaces with walls instead of one hideous open plan room where the kitchen is on view from the street door. Congratulations on buying your very own home and we know that you will have wonderful design ideas to share with us. It will be wonderful when eventually done and I hope you got a decent discount on the price for all the issues that the property has.

So much character! I never knew how stressful house shopping would be. Your dream home is that of so many others. It's too easy to get caught up in bid wars and end up paying way too much. I even found myself wanting to send flowers to one new buyer as a congratulations on getting the home of my dreams - here's my info if you ever want to sell. It was only missing the pond I longed for. A week later we found another that was only missing the fireplace. We went all in and were shocked to hear that the owner accepted. Turns out they said that the first offer to meet their asking price equaled sold. Two full inspections later, the home checked out and was deemed worth more than our offer and the seller did not back out. We'll be adding a full faux fireplace detail inside and an exterior real fireplace at the back patio area overlooking the stocked pond. Would I still want the other location? No. Turns out the land around it was sold and is now under tract development. I actually feel bad for the homebuyer. Just like that, your dream can become a nightmare.
