I'm a watch geek - and a big fan of Tudor. My mouth fell open when those vintage Tudors appeared! Well done, sir!
I’m always amazed how you can open everything with one hand.
Tudor wasn't specifically a Canadian version of the Rolex - it was a cheaper (but still very good). Tudor was founded by the same person who founded Rolex, with the idea of producing a watch at a more 'modest' price.
Yes, I thought the brick and mortar store was cute, but not my favorite part of your channel. Opening these boxes of hidden gems, and the hoarder house cleanouts with surprise finds are the most interesting. Those episodes coupled with your upbeat personality and family are why I keep coming back to your show. I don't even mind the commercials! 😉
As a watchmaking student, and long time collector and watch enthusiast, these videos make me howl! LOL. I'm super jealous and glad that you at least appreciate these vintage watches. That diver (black dial and bezel) was swiss made, probably worth quite a lot also. I love these videos.
I’m not a pen collector but I’d like to see your best pen finds after they have been cleaned up. I love these kinds of videos where you’re not sure exactly what you do have in hand!
Nice haul. Just a bit of advice, those Accutrons are highly collectable. That Astronaut Mark II if running will fetch a pretty penny. It is not as popular as the original Astronaut but still sought after. Same with those 218 and 219 Accutron Railroad watches. While not as popular as the 214 models (the ones with the crown on the rear), they are still collectable. Those ones you have are for the Canadian market (says R.R. 218 or R.R. 219). They were CNR approved. Also that Waltham pocket watch (time stamp
I’m so envious of that box of treasure. I like to tinker with watches, so that box would keep me busy for years! BTW, the vintage Bulova Accutrons are more valuable than you think. Collectors will snap those up. Great box of stuff. Have fun!
I love watching you go through estate treasures! My hubby and I used to love to attend house auctions where we could check out lots of interesting boxes. Very cool! Thanks for sharing 😁
I'm glad this made it up today, but I'm even more glad that you did a sponsorship with Manscaped 🤣🤣🤣 that cracks me straight up 🤣🤣
Alex, you are so lucky and, overall, blessed! That watch lot really made your day!! You looked so happy, buddy. You deserve it. Your knowledge of almost everything is uncanny. God bless you and your beautiful. family. Greetings from Puerto Rico! Mr. Angel
OMG! Be careful with the fountain pens! I learned the hard way. I bought two shoe boxes of fountain pens I paid $ 10.00 for both boxes. I buy a lot of things in bulk. We did a an antique show & flea market. The pens were in our van and I never went thru the boxes. My wife put one on the boxes on the table. Just before we were fully set up a guy came up looked at the dirty pens and offered us a 100.00 for the one box of fountain pens. Keep in mind the it was 1974… I was away from our booth and I let my wife sell the box of fountain pens? It was a slow day just the start of the show. After we sold the box…It dawned on me to check out the fountain pens ! I started to look at the pens with an with And by the way a magnifying glass. I almost had a heart attack! The pen tips were marked 18K These were fountain were from the late 1800s I forgot the names but I still have about 70 of the pens at the bottom of the pile of pens there was a light green satin glass ink well. I still have to research the fountain pens but I learned my lesson. Ever once in awhile I come across fountain pens I don’t go anywhere without my magnifying glass. I find lots of gold jewelry as well.
I never knew fountain pens were that valuable. I learned something new today. Thanks Alex. Good finds In that box.
Amazing find, i am a watch repairer and a watch fanatic and was probably as excited as you! Love the Bulova watches, very collectible, fantastic Pocket watches and Rolex too! Next time you go to a sale let me know! Was impressed by the trench watches also, great history
You discover such interesting things! So glad you share these online for the rest of us to enjoy.
So much interesting stuff in one box, well worth $1000 bucks. Can't wait for you to more closely research and check all those goodies (and show us, hopefully) ! 👍 🇨🇦 ✌️
Jesus, what a score my man!! I keep commenting because you keep cracking open one cool find after another, lol. I’ve hit some amazing stuff at estate sales. Actually found a limited edition Paul McCobb fold out card table that the folks running the sale had no clue what it was. Everything else was marked with prices along the lines of what you would expect. But when I slid the double tier top over and saw the seemingly never exposed badge inside the hidden compartment, I laid down that $200 quickly. The thing was worth quite a few thousands of dollars. That so far has been my best score also considering I was very late to the sale, lol. Too cool. 👍🏻😎👍🏻
Wow!! This was so much fun and reminded me I need to have my late Dad's watch working so I can wear it. It's just mind-blowing how much knowledge you have about all items-pens, watched, toys, cars. I learn so much watching you.
I always enjoy your treasure hunting!
