Although it's faster than FDM, it's clearly way less detailed. Maybe for something like pots this would work better, but statues would benefit from a smaller nozzle. If they made larger resin prints you could probably get amazing statue prints quite quickly.

I love how he says it's so much quicker than printing with plastic. You have no infill, there's no supports, And your layer height is insane. If I print it at 0.5 mm height my print wouldn't take long ether

Not to mention it takes days to dry. Plastic takes seconds.

I like it keep it please. Cause theres not many people that have a friend like that. Even if there is a surprise inside I would leave it for future generations to find out what's inside. Make a plaque that has everyone involved on it and a note to who ever years later to open it and document the entire process of taking it down and finding out what's inside? This would be a Very cool thing to do.

Ah yes the statue is gonna check how durable their house is.

A little context as to why the printer is so fast. A normal 3d print will print a layer, with infill(to support the print) so theres alot more to cover. With the statue, there is no infill, and the head is moving up continuously rather than printing layer by layer(so the concrete spirals up). That way it never has to stop. On normal 3d printers its called "vase mode"
