Like I love the fact that he has so much heart and passionate about what he loves to do. But nothing in this world is worth your life, unless it's a situation that comes down to giving your life to save your child's life. There's so many people in this world that are dying from horrendous diseases, that wish so bad to have the life you're taking for granted. I'm not getting on him trying to be mean or rude, it's just coming from a peaceful place of respect. Because I see it in his eyes here and the clip that he truly means what he said, he was prepared to die, just to claim a win in a sport of combat. The fact that I can relate to this may sound weird but when you see where I grew up you would understand. I basically lived in a middle of a gang border and basically everyday a gang war happened there. Once they started raiding our homes and I was gone alone face to face with a 5’7 guy in front of me. At that moment I knew that if I failed this fight I would die. I told him right there as I pulled my fists up. “Now listen here, either this is my last fight cus I ain’t gon let you rob me, or this is your last fight, I’m ready to die bitch” as I finished my sentence I saw fucking fear in his eyes and I proceeded to beat the shit out of him and his 2 other gang memebers

This type of mentality is what separates a decent fighter from a world champion. Every single champion in combat sports will say the same thing. To be willing to stand on top, you have to give up your humanity and become a monster. Quote from hajime no ippo lol but it couldn't be more true. The mentality of being a monster in the ring and not having any sympathy for your opponent while fighting. Afterwards is different but while you are fighting for a title, you have to be ruthless because it's damn well obvious that your opponent will be just as if not more ruthless towards you and if he isn't then he doesn't want it enough. I don't know what yall are talking about when it comes to killing in a sport. If that's Israel's idea of ruthless then that's him. I'm saying that you have to sacrifice your humanity as in sympathy and dedicate yourself to nothing but your profession, not literally try to kill someone. Giving up enjoyable pass times for training for example is one way of sacrificing your humanity if I didn't make it clear enough. It's the act of losing human desires and temptations what I mean. In a normal person, seeing someone dedicate 18 hours a day to training is something monstrous. I don't know how much clearer I can make it lol but regardless, being ruthless in the ring is another monstrous characterisitic I'm ultimately trying to get at.
