Some of the comments here...miss what these two are saying... They are being quite factual..with some genuine concerns but they are not doom and gloom .and not saying what some commentaries are saying here. .. The EU is now 14% of Global GDP down from 15% and will be down to 7% next two decades..... It 's a free-trade world we want now not managed decline sheltering behind EU ... the Commonwealth when India overtakes China in the next decade or so makes the Commonwealth bigger than China and /or the USA. The EU is imploding it's a failed trading organization..... ... As a member of the Oxford Hayek Society... and other think tanks, I can assure you... the long run is better out of the EU.. it's a fact. The Saxons .. have a common-law built up based on practical cases... a free way of thinking..... The french since Napolean have institutions tell them what to do and the Germans... British institutions from the High Way Code to whatever and out charities grow up a lot more organically...... The British as a whole do not like having things implemented on then that are detrimental to them. ..... Fisheries... Fish and chips have gone up more than bread, a loaf, houses, cars and everything you can think of . Rules some products can only come by road... and the channel tunnel they think si fair and it's cheaper for us to have it shipped in.... Its chaos you cannot run an efficient economy and opportunity or enterprise and smaller business from a top-down approach .... as a trade block.. ... with a failing % of global GDP... the EU .. is on the way down.... its economic fact. UK needs to break free in an English speaking world.... We're lucky..... the world speaks English... ... We do not subsidize as in France and Germany so much... and we do not need a gravy train EU elite to keep it going... ... ... FREEDOM is no bad thing.... its multiple chess games at once not having the decision made for you by the EU!! Give it ten years and we will be pulling away from France and Germany and all the comments on YouTube and all the doom and gloom will be proved wrong by the graphs ..otherwise Hayek and John Smith and all the SCIENCE of Economics and Economic History... is WRONG! it isn't.

The leave supporters were majority in numbers than the stay supporters, now the powers are back to the government that is now in power to shape UK's departure out of the European Union life. Concern is that, those who voted to stay, to face what being out of the European Union will pound on UK. This will include: no more free movement to European states, no more being rescued by European Union law rulings which had given us rights. Imports free of taxes is no more. Hoping businesses will not close in the UK to migrate to European Union member states. Students have been doing one of the year in a European Union state of choice. Also, working abroad. UK is in a great position to get a great trade deal with the the US, Australia, New Zealand & Canada. Trump would love to have other Nations in the E.U. see the UK’s Brexit as a Great Sucess. He doesn’t see the U.K. like he viewed China, Mexico or Canada as countries that were taking advantage of the US under Horrible Trade Agreement. The USA gives billions of dollars of Foreign Aid to countries we have little or nothing in common with. Theres such a insane corruption in Eastern European countries which west is closing eyes to because naturally they do not want to loose these member states whom provide taxpayers, cheap labor and consequently consumers/customers that no one talks about but everybody knows. The politicians in Easter EU counties are elite. They all became filthy rich from nothing. Simply by having government post and milking the system at every opportunity they have. Therefore the whole EU is one big scam and unhealthy system where only wealthy and connected benefit from. UK people made great choice to leave this filthy artificial ship built on lies , fake promises and oppressive policies. It is better to be poor than to be slave without freedom! When the UK inevitably goes into a financial and economic crisis in 2021, we will need to consider re-joining and the next government will probably have a mandate for it. It might be a requirement for the UK to join the Euro and I would welcome this because: the Euro has extremely good currency stability which maintains people's purchasing power and is excellent for business, while the GB£ has swung between $1.11 and $2. 2) bank charges on spending and transfers overseas are going to be reduced or eliminated. 3) competition is increased by showing prices and enabling you to find the lowest price easily. 4) interest rates are likely to be lower to people, businesses and governments to encourage investment and raise living standards.

@Joshua Kane Your first sentence destroyed the credibility of what followed: how wonderfully smug you are. UK gives EU zero tariffs AND free access to resource, while EU gives zero tariffs. You find nothing wrong with that, because it looks lopsided to me? In addition, UK-EU trade benefits EU by £100bn/year. In what way does UK receives anything beneficial to balance-out that? Euro devastated South Europe, with no sign of things improving because, as the Germans have admitted, there is too much political capital in the project for them to stop. Never mind the pain caused to the Europeans whose nations are being crushed. If you wish to argue with a Brexiteer, try opening your eyes to what is actually happening, rather than swallowing whole the propaganda pumped out by the EU. If you do that, you may have some credibility.

I personally don't find anything wrong with that since we are the 6th richest country in the world(with Europe help) Now let us all suffer since we are going out under WTO terms since Europe is not going to budge nor is the UK . Financial market predicts 10% drop in our GDP per year sure let's have it we stacked riches so let's give em away.Arguing with BREXITEER is like arguing with the wall, they don't listen to solid arguments but yeah let's have our country back.

Yes, it is an interesting phrase, and one which (sadly) too few Brexit proponents stopped to consider.  If you leave a membership organisation, you no longer have to pay the membership fee or abide by the rules of the organisation. Yeah..... Only in the mind of a moron is cutting off trade with your closest and largest trade partner a good idea. Can you imagine Canada taking the same stance towards the USA in favour of trading with Madagascar, Argentina and Oman? Me neither.

We shall witness much these coming tears I feel. Scotland's freedom from the United Kingdom, a reunited Ireland, a discontented Wales and little England cowering under the wing of Uncle Sam. It's been fascinating to watch the decline and fall of the UK. Good luck to you all from one of your former colonies.

Whatever the future relationship with the EU turns out to be, it will be based on trade and not a political union. That was where the EU went wrong. They were an attractive trading union known as the Common Market, but ambitious politicians saw an opportunity to lead the whole of Europe instead of small countries - think Luxembourg, etc. This bad idea was worsened when they FORCED political integration on unwilling countries via the Lisbon Treaty. Then it got even worse when Merkel invited a third world invasion of Europe and tried to share the joy with the rest of Europe, many of whom did not want it.

If you leave the EU I doubt there will be a “freedom of movement” I wanna see what happens. Till then stop with these hypotheticals, Britain was fine/is if it remains within the EU. If Britain wants to keep freedom of movement they will have to give up the pound for the Euro period!

In history Britain is always better of not getting too involved with the political side of the EU country's. Looking after our own people so getting dragged into wars is a last resort. Britain has saved European country's many times but do not get much appreciation for the trouble.

The EU is a larger market and a larger population. Furthermore is Russia is a gas station with a military then it could be said that the UK is a university with a bank and a military. Furthermore banks can and willf relocate to get access to the market and European universities are broadly equal to British ones so what is the UK leverage?
