The idea of an antique restoration is not to make it look 'brand new'...but to respect the 'life' it lived, and the 'character' it picked up... while at the same time restoring real damage... You do it PERFECTLY! It STILL looks old...but in great condition! Well done!

Ok, you're gonna have to stop buying all the clamps so we can get a few.

Restoration and "an Eternity later", just as Christ was a carpenter, too, when he restores our soul, it is a masterful work, believe and repent, and keep on repenting as He performs His restoration in your soul, to find the true purpose for eternity - reconciliation with our Creator. What a masterful work of restoration!

Beautiful work. Question about the wood worm, do you treat it and if so, how? I see some in the drawers etc.

wow so educational lesson, thanks alot. But as for me the the drawings at the wardrobe are a kinda kitch. A natural texture of the dark wood would be way much more beautiful. I have a very old wardrobe of the same design, much wider, of manufactured mass produce, without drawings. I hope some day to make it more beautiful than yours. Thank you again for the inspiration

Imagine being the original cabinet maker that built this beautiful piece of furniture many, many decades ago. Imagine the pride you would feel if you knew that oh so many decades later, in a time where we have affordable CNC routers, all sort of unthinkable machinery from this cabinet makers perspective, not to mention bloody IKEA - some guy will still, largely by hand, put time and dedication into restoring your original creation back to its former glory. Just IMAGINE that sense of pride and acknowledgement.
