Everybody gansta till she start boiling cans
made these today 4-6 weeks? cant wait! Used fresh Dill from my garden a lotts of dill. I did add fresh onion as well as garlic and tarmac. Hope this helps some people out there :)
I was on the phone with my best guy friend at 2 am, and he was VERRYY high on lack of sleep, and he couldn’t stop laughing. I asked “hey, what are you watching?” And he laughed and said “Im watching a documentary on pickles, and I’m turned on, and I don’t know why. iTs PiCkLeS.” And it was the funniest thing ever. I asked “why???” And he laughed and said in a deep voice “they go cronch.”
Would regular iodized salt work?
Pornhub brought me to this.
Hey, do you cover the whole jar with hot water ?
Stop playing with your food you better keep them things out your butt
So thats how i was made
I was so disappointed! Followed this recipe to the letter....waited six weeks for my cuk pickles....tasted Awful !!!!!!! Keep looking yal....this ain't a recipe you want...BTW not jus one jar....made 14 jars....all are crap
Wayyyy too salty and very mushy
Look simple and easy. But you sterilized everything make me nervous 😅
2:23 BOOOO!! The best pickles DO NOT use VINEGAR. I can buy Vlasic crap pickles at the store, lady. Thumbs down.
When you put the jars into the water bath for 15 minuets, is the water boiling? Or just simmering?
The water should be Luke warm, then bring it to a rolling boil then time your 15 minutes.
I’ve used this video over the past few years. Everyone loves these pickles! It’s easy and a great video.
what is the water bath the full jars are put into at the end and why?
To seal the jars, to force air out. You have to place the filled jars into boiling water that covers the jar. Depending where you are in regards to sea level determines the length of time that you leave them in.
Everything’s gotta be s t e r i l i z e d
no seasonings???? NEXT!
That is a good looking woman fantastic eyes
I’m guessing the pickles will go bad if they float to the top? You mentioned this but didn’t give a reason as to why to make sure they don’t do so. Cheers
I followed this recipe, but I used 1.5 tsp of dill spice instead. They turned out great. The whole fam loves em
Unfortunately there was no explanation or directions for the water bath. How much water and is the to water cover the jars?
Is the water bath hot or cold water??
Uhh...wouldnt this be kosher dill pickles, not plain dill pickles?!?! Cause as I recall, the difference between the 2 is the garlic.
After having gone thru the routine of steralizing I guess you shouldn’t use your fingers touching the vegetables
I do NOT need any cold packed anything. You guys either screw up the courage to show real canning or don't post anything that is preserved.
Concave and convex mix up.
Forgot to add a tsp of diced jalapenos. The lids start out convex and end up concave. Adding garlic makes them Kosher Dill Pickles..
A vinegar pickle is not and cannot be a Kosher pickle. Kosher Dill Pickles are naturally fermented pickles and taste so much better than a vinegar pickle. And, another plus, real Kosher Dills can be ready to eat in about a week.
You had my attention until you added the garlic.... I love garlic but not in my pickles.... Just my preference though.... I'm sure your pickles are great....
U do handle your pickles nice
Okay you sterilize the jars and lids but what about the ladle and the funnel? Also why aren't you wearing gloves?
Yes... bass ackwards! How to remember concave vs. convex.... I'm sure many of you might use this method but for me I thought it up myself. It does not mean thousands of others have not. Concave is like "Caved In" and therefore convex is the opposite... not caved in. Here's a good one... I created this one for myself decades ago also... Stalactites and Stalagmites, like the bottom to top and top to bottom icicles in a cave... just remember the T of TITES... T is for top - the ones hanging down like growing up in Minnesota Winters lol. Stalactites = Top Down. Whew!
What is a water bath?
You mixed up the convex and concave
YouTube sure has changed 😂
I remember it was Christmas and me and my cousin downed an entire pickle jar.. 😐
The only thing I don't like about this method is that the pickles tend to get soft and mushy
Can kosher salt be used instead of picking salt?
If using dill weed (spice) rather than the produce/dill plant. How much spice should I add?
Well, I ended up using 1.5 tsp, the verdict is still out. I’ll know by mid Aug
she looks like she's used to "packing cucumbers" 😂😂
Do they stay crisp? I always have that problem when I’ve tried making them
