Ok someone help me out,, serious question,, you take time to sterilize the jars and lids but then put unsterile cucumbers in there with your unsterilized hands and pour the brine through an unsterilized funnel. I don't completely get it. Help me out.

I like your videos but this recipe sucks. Yuck. This recipe is a joke compared 2mine. Especially once my raw fresh picked pickles begin 2ferment, carbonate. Cooking ruins everything with pickles. "Obviously I am the chef king of kings." Impressed? I know I know. Pickle recipe that beats this1. Ok: Cooking vegetables b4 canning is a Reptilian angel thing. They teach people how 2can in such a way it's so complicated &expensive people dont... drum roll? Can. Stored food is a no no. They only allow snobbish extraordinarily wasteful finicky chefs on You Tube who obey the reptilian master chef lies from black google. Google is controlled by a computer Satan hacked that Yahweh had used in creation. Lol. It's full of crap. All vegetables can be canned cold in salt, sugar, citric acid & vinegar. Top them with olive oil. Seals out air, and they become carbonated which is amazing but refridgerate is ok. Keep lids loose enough so dont explode. This recipe also blows this videos away on a culinary level. I use fresh ingredients hand picked &homemade jalapeno hot sauce. Store in cool place. I place my jars in water in summer, but they will keep about 8months room temp. By then my garden is long overdo again. . Ingredient list PICKLES: 5cup sugar. 3cup vinegar. 1/2cup salt. Big onion. Tblspn mustard. 1Cup Jalapeno sauce. Tblspoon 100 spice. (I grind all known spices, add to a jar. Get it? No?) Fresh chopped rosemary, thyme, chives. Tblspn WILD fresh fennel seed. 3clove mince garlic.    Add sliced pickles till full about 7big cucumber.   Top with 1/4" virgin olive oil lock out air, store 1year uncooked fridge. Use freshoil. If oil go rancid ruin pickles.. Store on the FLOOR. of your home. It's much much cooler there then in that hot cupboard. Raw, each ingredient will have provide distinct contrast Pop. &that fresh garden pickle flavor will come thru everytime u ...lost my thought. Oh wait "eat..."

she has convex and concave backwards... Concave is when it dips down.. convex is when it puffs up... If it is puffing outward towards you, it is not sealed properly. " The lid should be concave (curved down slightly in the center). If center of the lid is either flat or bulging, it may not be sealed. " Personally I would not store them with the ring off.. the ring is to protect the seal

Ingredients 35 to 40 small to medium pickling cucumbers. 1 gallon cold water. 1 cup cider vinegar, preferably raw. 2 tablespoons mixed pickling spices. 2/3 c. coarse canning or kosher salt Do NOT fine or use iodized salt! 4 cloves garlic or more to taste. 4 fresh dill heads ~or~ 4 tablespoons dried dill seed not weed!

A vinegar pickle is not and cannot be a Kosher pickle. Kosher Dill Pickles are naturally fermented pickles and taste so much better than a vinegar pickle. And, another plus, real Kosher Dills can be ready to eat in about a week.

Yes... bass ackwards! How to remember concave vs. convex.... I'm sure many of you might use this method but for me I thought it up myself. It does not mean thousands of others have not. Concave is like "Caved In" and therefore convex is the opposite... not caved in. Here's a good one... I created this one for myself decades ago also... Stalactites and Stalagmites, like the bottom to top and top to bottom icicles in a cave... just remember the T of TITES... T is for top - the ones hanging down like growing up in Minnesota Winters lol. Stalactites = Top Down. Whew!
