    "Fab Frenchies Chef Hanna's Feast:
8-10 pounds of meat, ground beef and ground pork are great choices because they are not common allergy sources but choose your protein based on your dogs needs.
Cook with 3 tbsp canola oil
*Drain meat of excess grease after cooking & adding other ingredients
    3 bags each of frozen:
    12 oz peas
    12 oz carrots
24 oz bags of broccoli, green beans, cauliflower and spinach.
Let thaw on counter- no need to cook the vegetables before adding to cooked meat mixture.
Add 3 cans kidney beans and 3 cans black beans (drain & rinse)
Mix together and mix in 3 tbsp of coconut oil
    2 teaspoons Iodized salt
Cool and then freeze in ziplock freezer bags.
Make a half box instant mashed potatoes in a pot. Cool and put in fridge.
Each dog gets big scoop mash taters with one cup meat and veg mix on top. In morning and And evening put one 1 tbsp of Wholistic Canine Vitamin Suppliment you can find on Amazon.
The potatoes act as the filler instead of corn that bag dry dog food has which is an allergic for a lot of frenchies. You will need to feed a larger amount in bowl because unlike dry food it doesn't expand in the belly, so keep an eye on your dogs weight if it looks like it may lose weight give bigger bowls full or less if it starts gaining. You will never have a finicky eater and will never have to worry about dog food recalls.
    Reminder:
If you normally feed 1 cup of kibble, increase to 1.5 cups per feeding. Adjust accordingly for your dog's normal diet"

You don’t need to cook the turkey. Your dog can eat it raw. You should also add raw meaty bones to her diet. If you’re going to feed raw you also need organ meat. There’s too many vegetables in the food. I would take out the peas, potatoes (both of these are just filler and can cause heart problems in dogs), and the cauliflower. I would also add more meat. Raw eggs are great for dogs. This food is much better than the Royal Canin, but there’s still too much veggies in it. Her diet should be mostly meat.

Hi Laura! I love your channel and Mable is just adorable! I absolutely love this recipe. My question is..My Frenchie is 8 weeks old and a bit on the small side but I wouldn’t say he’s underweight, if that makes any sense. Because Titan (my Frenchie’s name, lol) and I would want to add more fat to his meals, can you please help me with a recipe for my baby?? Thanks!!

I've been cooking for my two frenchies for years. Our oldest is 12 years old, he acts like he's 5. I have cooked and purchased practicly every fresh food diet available. Adding a few tips from what I have learned...   You have to be careful with packaged turkey, it is VERY HIGH IN SODIUM. Best to buy directly from a butcher before it's packaged so it doesn't have added salt. Just ask your grocer or butcher about this, some grind fresh every morning. Packaged turkey is a MAJOR NO-NO long term, especially for pancreatitis or any kidney/liver problems.   *** Also need to make sure they get enough calcium with a home cooked diet*** Can lead to a major deficiency if missing long term. We use ground egg shells, very very finely ground then sifted to remove large pieces. The multivitamin brand you use in your video is great. We also purchase their Pre/Probiotic and digestive enzyme blend. 1/4 tsp with every meal. Frenchies need a healthy gut!   We also freshly grind flaxseed for Omegas (daily). We also add a few TBS of apple cider vinegar and safflower oil mixed into every batch. Also - dogs need organ meat, you can get turkey liver fresh/frozen... or PRIMAL has freeze dried turkey liver treats you can feed just a small bite a day. Can buy on Amazon! Potato as a filler can cause YEAST in frenchies. Carbs turn to sugar causing yeast. We do a mix of 3/1 parts quinoa to rice which makes up about 1/4th of our dogs meals. The hype about grain free is mostly due to corn and processed wheat (not good for humans or dogs), however submitting with potato can be just as problematic, especially for frenchies. Quinoa is a great alternative AND its nutritious. Rice adds a little more bulk and is good for a sensitive tummy. We feed our frenchies 3 times a day - large meals too far apart can cause them to develop over production of bile which can cause them to vomit, leading to esophagus problems. Its important to get an idea of their weight and calculate how many calories are in the food. Overfeeding can also cause problems. Our 20lb frenchie eats 1.75 cups a day and our 30 lb frenchie eats 2.25 cups a day. Turkey, veggies, quinoa. Lastly it's important to wean your dog onto a new diet, by serving them only partial new food for several days before they are on 100% new diet. Thank you for posting this video hopefully you can keep your fans updated the more you learn. LOVE TO ALL THE FRENCHIES xoxo!!

Cooking the meat gets rid of the necessary amino acids dogs need. also, fillers are unnecessary and the processed potatoes are carbs which only work to lower the pH of a dogs stomach would make it harder for them to digest certain foods. there should be a bone aspect as well as phosphorus and other aspects. You'd be doing a whole lot better if you didn't cook the meat, for one.

My 1 and a half year old frenchie Mckayla is experiencing some issues with her skin, sores and flaking. I usually feed her 1/2 grain free kibbles and carrots/broccoli and either chicken or gound beef. Although I admit, she also gets a good dose of table scraps. I try my best to feed her the best but now I see I can do better. Thank you so much for this! Going to do this for her this weekend!

my little doggy had pancreatitis just before christmas which caused it's own complication and caused hemorrhagic gastroenteritis which nearly killed her. Pancreatitis sucks lol and just like you, the only thing we ever fed our dog that wasn't her dog food was the occasional fruit and veg and super duper occasional little piece of cheese.

do inform yourself abouth the vitamins and minerals that are eccential for a dog you can not just give your dog some meat and veggies they need a good balance in calcium/phosphorus if you dont give them that (what real dogfood calculates and mutch more) your dogs body will start stripping calcium from its bones until your dog can just break its bones look it up all meatsyndrome most people do not know what it takes to make your own dogfood a wolf would eat everything its prey eats and not just the meat so liver, guts, bones everything and all those elements are essential to his health

Most dogs won't argue with what you made, it definitely smells and tastes better than kibble, but, did you think about her teeth with eating all that soft food, not so good, try incorporating the two together, i think you'll find a winning combination.

Hey Laura! How is Mable doing on this diet? Are you still feeding her the same recipe? My frenchie is having a really hard time with any kind of dog food recently (10mons olds). Very upset stomach even after switching her to Royal Canin gastro. She’s also not wanting to eat her dog food, no matter the brand or “mix/recipe”. She’s constantly going after my pitties food which is 4Health (tractor supply brand) and I just don’t understand it. I’m hoping this recipe will be exactly what she needs! Please feel free to give me any info/advice about this type of diet. Evie (my frenchie) and I would greatly appreciate it! P.S. we both love watching your and Mables videos 😍.
