She’s a god of improvising and jazz fussion music - can’t say I like that racket she is making at the end but she really is perhaps the most no fucks given and unique master of this sort of thing I’ve ever seen. Her technique is so ridiculously perfect it's funny, can't say much for musicality or subtlety, but shit she fucking controls the piano like it's her right arm!

Youve determined shes unmusical and lacks subtlety after watching 2 minutes of a 9 minute song, at what appears the end of a concert when shes trying to cap the evening and send the fans home excited. Thats like looking at a half a painting by an aritst with a storied career and determining they must be racist, because the fragment you're looking at has no black people in it. (or whatever- insert projection of choice). Ridiculous. You ought to spend time with more of her music before you determine that (and before you criticise someone in public) Theres tremendous subtlety here in fact. I leave it to you to listen again, Id have to quit my job to point it all out.. in fact she maintains it through many of the moments shes also drawing thunder from her piano, incredibly impressive. She occasionally becomes unsubtle, also dissonent and strident.These are intentional and serve the song, which capacity is a form of subtlety itself. If you dont agree with the choice or cant hear what shes trying to do that doesnt by itself make her 'unmusical'. I dont know what you intended but that criticism lands foolishly imo.

It's what drew me irrevocably past the Hiromi event horizon into all-consuming love for her incandescent talent, passion, and fabulous music. And everything I've seen and heard from her since with Sonicbloom, Stanley Clarke, Chick Corea, Ayaka, and now the Trio Project has only intensified my love for her magnificent music and her beautiful soul of genius. Sound Media a solo is when an instrument is the main playing for the period of time and ppl pay attention to that instrument instead of others... all other instruments don't HAVE to completely stop.
