So on top of property damages, the city took a building producing legal marijuana calling it "Illegal" when it is in fact very *LEGAL* The city needs to A: Give the property back no questions asked. and B: Pay the owners all the damages, legal fees, and an additional 5 million on top of this. And finally C: The mayor, police chief, and fire dept, as well as the city attorney all need to be charged with using a loophole in the system to take the building as well as all of the product that had been inside for themselves. It's pretty clear when you see the mayor walked in first, or was there at all in the first place.

@Eric White The Gamer 10th Amendment: ''The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.'' Silvered Raven says the businesses were legal. ShinRaPresident cited the fact that even those the businesses were legal in the state, they were not legal federally. You mention the 10th Amendment however as ShinRa stated, congressmen elected by the people passed those federal laws which does indeed mean the businesses were illegal under federal law.

Doesn't matter. Juries love to make a example of police and officials who break the law. You want a jury in this case because you'll get all your money back and then a couple million to make a example of authority. The city will not want this going to higher courts because they broke the law in a climate were citizens are outraged with police and authority as it is so courts are very heavy handed on them right now. A jury awarded a police brutality case almost 5 times what the lawyer was seeking just to make a point.

When the city hijacks a business and then you can have it back if you buy 2 new police cars is kidnapping. They destroyed this couple dream and think they are the final word. The city has a lot to answer to. Meanwhile the couple hasn't been charged. What I know has happened is the city thought they can come in and take what ever they want and the owners would roll over. Well that didn't happen. Now the building is still in limbo and more then $ 250K in damages has occurred. Let the city pay for all the damages and purchase a new building for the couple. You think the city is acting like a hoodlum stealing. Impeach the mayor and his attorney for thinking it's OK to steal from its citizens. I would like if that mayor is shipped to a fema death camp. Following the money. Look into the bank accounts of the mayor, the former chief of police, the city attorney and any others suspected of being involved. All their bank accounts. And bank accounts of their spouses, significant others and the children of all of these people. In my opinion. As for the damages: take any and all repairs out of the mayor's, former chief of police and mayor's pensions. If not enough, seize their homes and private property and sell them at auction. If still not enough, the city can then pay the rest with tax money. In my opinion. Problem solved. Next question.
