I’ve had the privilege of meeting many famous people, but I’ve never been a fan boy. I look at celebrities as they put their pants on one foot at a time just like me. Maybe because of that attitude I’ve got to spend a lot of time with some of them. And it’s been those I’ve just clicked with and we find out we have a lot in common. Although I’m not a huge Skillet fan (my son is) I’ve had the chance to hang out with Seth the guitarist. He’s one of the most down to earth celebrities I’ve ever met. And it’s cool just to have conversations like you’d have with one of your friends. I’m just an extrovert who loves to talk to everyone and get to know people and have an interest in their stories. In God’s eyes, we’re all equal in value.

I have always had a lot of respect for your dad, he is a principled guy. As for being friends with famous people, I am friends with many well known musicians and I treat them like anyone else and I don't ask anything from them and I am thankful for the time and energy they give to talk to me and spend time with me. As for words hurting, the more power you give words by letting them hurt you, the more power you give to others to affect you. Know and love who you are and don't let the words of others control how you feel.

I used to live near a couple of very famous muscians..NOBODY in our neighbourhood in Hove, East Sussex even turned round to look at them ,so Mr Cave ,Adele,Mr Gilmour & Mr McCartney went to our local leadership for their newspaper like everyone else.I used to see them sat on the beach at the end of our road..totally like any other neighbour . Thanks for sharing! I understand that must be frustrating not knowing who your friends are. But if it makes you feel any better, normal folks get treated like wallpaper most of the time, many have to act like an automaton to work a shitty job, half of marriages end in divorce. People without fame and wealth still have to be pretty careful who they become close with.

Nah. I'm definitely not the level, yet I affected my own kids ( now adults ) within who I am. It has been a part of their life. And at times it kinda is a burden. For everyone! Thank you for this post. Stories told about me over the years to my kids and many other situations during my life has definitely affected those boys. Good news kinda, is they are both in there mid 20's now and becoming their own.
