Comparing Google's Pixel 4a vs the OnePlus Nord, two brilliant mid-range smartphones boasting strong specs, very different camera tech and stock Android. Here's a side-by-side comparison, covering gaming performance (PubG/CoD), battery life, photo capture and other features.
So Google has finally launched the Pixel 4a and it's one of the best compact phones of 2020, boasting a brilliant camera, great battery life and a gorgeous OLED screen. All for just £350 in the UK. However, there's stiff competition from the fresh OnePlus Nord, which also boasts a budget-friendly price despite the excellent specs.
That Pixel wins for camera performance, with excellent HDR and night photo capture (check out these samples to see how it compares with the Nord). I also found the battery life of Google's smartphone better despite the smaller cell inside.
However, the OnePlus Nord is best for gamers with its Snapdragon 765G chipset and extra RAM, plus the dedicated Game Space feature. All the same, the Pixel 4a will happily play Call of Duty and PubG Mobile with a smooth frame rate thanks to its 730G chipset (NOT 730 as stated here, apologies, the original Google specs sheet was telling porkies!)
