Also I checked and that email never appeared anywhere in the ARG. From what I heard that email was found in the files of the ARG and never appeared in the ARG so it is not official and there are other reasons as to why it is not canon.

i agree! also, i had a thought- what if what exp 1006 wants to achieve is immortality (rather than just saving the kids/experiments)? if his aim was to really save the kids, why was mommy so terrified ("he'll make me a part of him") when we led her into the industrial grinder? she's also one of the kids after all. also, he seems to make a very strong impression on the young kids' minds with the whole theodore incident. i can easily see him establishing a cult like environment as the teaser trailer hints

@@andeAi9820 Tbf Ludwig making other toys into parts of him could easily be Ludwig's misguided way of keeping those toys (i.e. the kids' souls in them) alive after their toy bodies are killed. There is still plenty of evidence that 1006 was the one who led the Hour of Joy AND the one who commands the other toys in Project Playtime. Mommy being terrified of 1006 could simply be that she doesn't want to merge her spirit with all the other spirits who have been conjoined to 1006's body, with Ludwig/1006 being unaware that some toys don't want that.

Honestly, the idea that Ludwig was turned into the prototype to save his life, only for him to revert back to his previous, less selfish mindset… that would be such an interesting twist, certainly feels unique. We don’t often get to see the main villain actually repent, let alone try to destroy his own system, at least not without duress. I hope that ends up being the case, cause that would be such an interesting method of having two sides that aren’t exactly morally righteous.

Poppy seems to sound a bit more adult when she talks... makes me wonder if she wasn't a child when she was created but a adult woman that maybe got into a fight with her dad, died, and her dad wanting to 'save his baby girl' ended up putting her into the doll...

I saw another theory by Tericho I think that theorized a lot based off some connections poppy has to chucky. Basically, he said that she would have been an employee who was secretly a serial killer who was working to turn the experiments less wholesome, and went into a doll to work more efficiently. I think "serial killer" is a bit extreme but a think she was selfish/narcissisic with her own agenda, being immortality. I found some more evidence for this in this video, with poppy claiming all the terrible things were because of her. Tericho thought that this was Greybear (a think that's the wrong spelling). I think it could be her, due to her obsession with immortality. I'm more enthralled with the idea that she may have been his adult daughter who learned of the experiments and got her own ideas, working with the doctor, or maybe even inspiring him, whispering in his ear. I am a little skeptical, since poppys creation seems earlier in the timeline than Greybear, and that we have seen that adults have less success than children, and poppy seems perfectly fine, even a little childlike. However, poppy seems too mature and twisted/evil to be so young, which leads me to believe she may be a energetic/childish YA, to which Greybear fits the description. I am open to the idea of it being another character, so other theories are welcome. I am also curious to see which toys are a part of each "faction" and why, seeing as how most toys would WANT to overthrow the factory (1006s goal I think, not sure what poppys is) but MLL, who suffered lots of trauma at their hands was afraid of the prototype. Sorry for the essay 😅 Please expand on it if you feel like it!

Oddly enough I do think the first name has to be Jamie. It's a neutral gender name and allows players to immerse more into the character because of it. That means the last name could be Bahony, an odd last name but still works since it sounds like "bee honey" if said fast or in a slur. So, anyone else think the name of our head of production could be Jamie Bahony? Or is there another name out there that works more?

So I looked it up, and “Mahoney” is a legitimate last name so it’s possible that you’re right and it could be Bahony as a way to get bee honey in there! Or, Habony is also a legitimate last name. So that could be it. I don’t know, I think Ebony Jamiah is a super pretty name, so I kind of hope that’s it a little bit!

Considering the implications it wouldn't surprise me that Ludwig after becoming a toy suddenly realized that his new toy body made him possibly immortal and now wants to keep that immortality by every so often building himself or having built for him a new body. Think of it how a toy keeps itself relevant by changing and upgrading it's concept and features every few years.

For the lost slide name I saw a recent video about it from Ryetoast who goes into depth about what the name could be based off of the others higher ups cultural names and even guesses the last name having the word "joy" in it for the heavy lore that follows this word in the game. I would recommend watching this video if interested.

One thing i really like about Poppy Playtime is that unlike fnaf, poppy playtime does leave questions and leaves stuff open, but most things have been answered and that makes the lore satisfying to learn about. Theyre doing story telling great!

Maybe I’m coping, but I not convinced that Elliot’s knowledge of the experiments is malicious. Compared to other indie horror antagonists, he genuinely seems well-intentioned. Perhaps as well as being able to live forever, he willingly became The Prototype to help the orphan kids get revenge out of remorse for enabling the experiments

Ah yes, December. Snow, cozy fires, Christmas, and the third chapter to a cursed game about haunted toys and death! What a joyous month😊

I like how poppy playtime makes it seem like were actually humans and not like cartoon characters.

The only that confuses me so far is how the start of the bigger bodies initiative is explained. He says that boxy-boo is the first success from the bigger bodies initiative. The scientist mentions how he wants to give boxy-boo and taste for flesh and asks where the IT guy is. Mat then explains how the IT guy noticed huggy wuggy staring at children and that’s when he starts digging deeper. But wouldn’t this mean that huggy wuggy was the first then? How can he have seen huggy then get killed by boxy-boo if boxy-boo came first?

I think figuring out the timelines and histories for each game has to be my favorite part of/favorite video for these game theories. I love getting to see how history affects the future.

I just want to complement the length of today's episode. It feels like a full on worthy timeline/theory, instead of the missing pieces stuff we've been getting recently. (No really, make the theories at least 20+ minutes. Give them their due. And add the opens back.)

Another great theory from team theorist. The one thing that I wonder about though. If all the toys were working together under the command of the prototype during the hour of joy. Why does mommy seem so scared of him at the end of Chapter 2? When she gets trapped in the grinder she says "You'll make me part of HIM" and then she gets taken away by the prototype after she dies. So if they were once all in league together why is she and possibly the other toys so afraid of him now?

We saw today that the prototype apparently carried a child to safety, though he had the means to make an escape. He even tried to help the child leave the playcare. The nameplate is tricky but my best guesses would be Johan/Jonah Bianey (either first name works) or Benji Mahoya , the problem is honestly the last name mostly because you can make normal first names pretty easily but you end up with scrambled junk for the last name. E.g., Ebony Jamiah becomes; Niamh eboyja Eamon byjiah Like I said, the last names are a bit tricky.

I am astonished at how accurate you make things like this. But I was kind of sad when I found out you never finished Sally face, don't feel bad, it's totally your choice to do it or not, but episodes 3-5 have been out for a WHILE and are as PACKED with lore as ever. I kind of want to tell you one detail on Ashley Campbell in episode 5, but I wouldn't want to spoil the lore for you.

The email could very well be forged by the Doctor, it feels like something he would do, especially if he wants to keep the experiments going.

I think with the name you are onto something with honey except as the first name rather than the last. Honey used to be a more common first name for women but the name slowly transformed into a nickname of endearment/affection so it stopped being used as a first name. It still does leave the last name in the air with stuff like Mijaab, Baijam, Jaibam, etc. But it does just sound right to have someone named honey working at a toy factory.

I think the character you're playing isn't just an employee but also an orphan themself, I think they knew every child that became a toy via the bigger body initiatives, but the reason they never suffered that fate was because they wasn't interested in playing with toys but making them, they had such imagination that instead they would raise them to become an employee instead, they survived the hour of Joy because one of the victims knew who they once was and knows that they had no knowledge of what was actually going on thinking all of them were volunteers, that they knock them out so hard that they had Amnesia and took them out of the building, and I think the one who did it is the one who sent them the tape and the message, because remember Poppy was trapped behind that case.

I may have discovered another name possibility for the slide in chapter 2: Jania Moihey Jania is already a common first name, while Moihey is a common last name in some cultures and parts of the world. It follows the rule of 5 letters for the first name, 6 letters for the last.

Have you tried using the spacing between the pegs to fill in the missing name? For example, “I” should be the second or third letter on the surname as it’s the only letter that is slim enough to fit that close to another letter. ETA: This would make the J the second or fourth letter depending on where the I was placed.

One thing I’m confused about, if Boxy Boo was the first success of the Bigger Bodies Initiative then how was Roman already suspicious of Huggy Wuggy?

Honestly, I’ve never seen Kissy Missy and Huggy Wuggy as lovers, more like siblings. Cause their similar name, body, face, and they just seem like they’d have a sibling dynamic. I also feel if they added romance between the two, it would take away from the horror aspect.

I still like to think that Elliot is innocent in all of this and that his only half-human creation was Poppy. I think he believed the bigger bodies toys were just large advanced robots only to figure out they're not.

Love the timeline theories Mat, though i do have a question, how exactly were there around 200 attempts of the experiments, where 1006 is in the 1000s? If anyone could answer this i would be greatful that this is going to bug the back of my mind lol.😅😂

The idea of us play as someone who had a hamd in all of the things that happened at Playtime co. is interesting, but I think it's even more likely that we just play as a regular employee that's curious about what happened to the others.

Already, the first two chapters were incredibly well made. However, chapter 3 is simply INSANE. It looks SO realistic. It looks as though when I'm watching the trailers, I'm not watching a video, but I'm watching an actual scene in real life. Props to the devs for putting so much effort in.

The quality is simply on a whole other level now. Ch3 will also make poppy the first mascot horror to use unreal Engine 5. I knew the devs were extremely talented and passionate ever since the release of chapter 1.
