Monfils is a 💥 I remember started watching him back in 2009, he was always humble in both defeat and victory, such a nice and talented player, now seeing him win RG match at the age of 36 is squeeshing my tears out

A breathtaking display of the power of love in making anything possible. In spite of terrible cramps as the finish line approached, the love of the crowd gave Gael the strength to pull through.

This clip gave me goosebumps watching Monfils’ ball clip the net and over for the win. Baez played amazing but Gael’s spirit took over and boy did that whole crowd enjoyed it, including the grounds men working the event. Magnifique!!

Le plongeon en permière manche était vraiment inspirant. Je n'ai pas été le plus grand fan de Monfils mais ce genre d'effort, de sacrifice que tu ne vois pratiquement personne meme tenter, mérite tout notre respect. Avec une défense comme aujourd,hui t du jeu inspiré comme ça, Monfils pourrait en surprendre plusieurs cette année.

Plongeon inutile, il revient de blessure, bon moyen pour retourner à l’infirmerie, d’ailleurs il a l’air d’avoir mal juste après. Avec sa vitesse et la hauteur de balle pour moi il avait le temps de revenir en arrière avec le rebond mais bon c’est du Gaël

Le physique impose ses limites... on voit que tu n'es jamais allé au bout de tes limites physiques : à un moment on ne peut plus, et ce n'est la foi ou je ne sais quelle croyance magique qui peut nous aider. Le sport rend humble, quand on le pratique. Rune... ce serait génial de lui prendre un set!!
