This is absolutely phenomenal, epic really outdid themselves with this. I hope this also means we see a major improvement in maps overall. Even generic PvP maps can benefit greatly with this editor. The terrain editor alone is just such an amazing thing.

Perhaps you could bring the backrooms back in uefn with a different interpretation, such as kane pixels version, or having larger, more iconic levels, that would be awesome.

I would love to see more cinematic intros to maps like you're about to watch a movie long, but stunning visually and it could open doors to possibilites we couldn't even think about in 1.0

I've had the chance to work with UEFN for a while now too and its absolutely phenomenal! The possibilities which just have opened up are amazing! You've also showed my train model in the video, which hasn't been made in UEFN (imo the modeling tools are a bit meh) but in Blender. It's an amazing software which is free and much easier to use. For the modeling on UEFN.. we're on the same boat mustard haha

I absolutely LOVE Rynex. His Phantom Investigation map is absolutely unreal for leveling up. I finished last season over level 400 because of it. I'm very excited to see if he makes an updated version... And it'll be absolutely terrifying if done right

Im not much of a fortnite fan these days. I don't follow the story line anymore and I think all the crossovers are a bit too much. But even I have to admit, that this is pretty cool and opens up a lot of possibilities for people like me, who might not necessarily like fortnite and its story, but the mechanics within

I hope that this allows maps to have custom skins and what not like npc options, i wish it was usable by more ages like a version for 13+ but no pay as a option.

i play on console 🥲 but even if i was on PC ik i wouldn’t be able to handle this. but i’m so exited to play new maps

This is very exciting but for some reason i feel worried that creative now became way too complicated. Players that don't have the time to really play creative for long hours are not gonna have any chance of getting a feature or even getting their maps recognized and played by the community. I am sure that many insane maps are going to be created but i have a feeling that the number of people who are going to be creating maps will drastically drop and no new players are going to be encouraged enough to start building something themselves because they will have no chance against the pro builders. Basically am saying that no casual player is going to have the time to become a master coder and a full game developer so that his map is worth checking out against other maps. The last of Fortnite s casual experience has now introduced a massive skill gap just like the skill gap in the BR version. I know that my opinion is very heated but it hurts me that am not going to have the time to give this community something useful

Honestly... I feel you, this has been a thing im dealing with in the back of my mind for a long time, but it has also motivated me to become better with the tools they provide. A bit of both.

You can save so much memory by making using the terrain editor and being able to resize objects! So excited!

Imagine working together with people in 1.0 and 2.0 at the same time that would be so cool

Imagine all the stuff you could do with this, you could even model and sculpt a character for a horror game, make textures, IT'S AMAZING!

I really can’t wait to start creating maps easier!!!

Can’t wait for like competitive creative maps for pros but like really good maps that have rounds and changes the map each round or something and is very ultra realistic graphics like man I can’t wait to try and create my own stuff

It’s a real shame that we console players can’t use this, it wouldn’t be too hard to do as games like kerbal space programme have similar if not identical designs and operations, I know this might happen in the future but it would have been cool to see it on release. 😢

You should make the backrooms 2.0 in UEFN with proper animations!

One thing we REALLY need is a rule about disallowing poorly optimized maps/at least graphics settings for console players to counteract SUPER high quality(in terms of amount of models on screen) maps.

Going to take a lot to figure all that out I think.

When EPIC went live with CREATIVE 2.0, EPIC also changed Creative 1.0’s, PS5 console, left side screen text when creating a map. Portions of the text have been deleted when building. It might be the same for xBox. Let me explain. When you Increase/Decrease, or when making an object larger or smaller, and or using rotation, the text controls on the left side of your screen are gone. You can’t visually look at the text and see what settings you are using. Now, all you have is the small visual clue inside the object, with the circle and lines. But this visual control clue does not change in size as you make an object larger. So the visual clue gets lost inside the object, or off your screen, as you enlarge the object. And if the object is WHITE, like snow rocks and mountains, you can’t see the visual white clue markings inside the object at all. THIS DOES NOT WORK FOR BUILDING ON CONSOLES!! I’ve had to stop building a new winter map, because I can’t see what I’m doing anymore. All you can do on a console is click your button or lever, and see what happens!! I guess this is how a PC does building with visual screen markings!! What else has EPIC messed up for consoles now?

UPDATE: This glitch or Creative 1.0 tools problem, seems to have been fixed. Someone at EPIC found the problem. A big thanks.

If we all started liking on the backroom maps; we could have seen him make the backrooms on creative 2.0 and see if there is big difference from 1.0 to 2.0!

Sadly you can’t make custom weapons yet, or edit weapons. It will definitely be a feature soon though, I’m sure.

Fortnite is going to take like two years to bring 2.0 to console but I thought of a way in an hour Step 1. Make the joy stick a mouse Step 2. Make the right joy stick the zoom in/out and moving around Step 3. Have every thing the same as on PC (like the menu) Step 4. Have the accept button let you to to your props etc. Step 5. Add a few more thing that are on PC and your done

This being not on consoles is understandable, I honestly even wanted to stay with Creative 1.0 since I'm still learning *that*

As a PS5 Console Fortnite Creative 1.0 map creator… all I can do is shake my head, and ask myself why, I should go back to Creative 1.0, and build any more maps. I think a lot of other console Creative 1.0 creators are asking themself the same question today. Can a few extra new Creative 1.0 props, structures and devices thrown at us tomorrow, make up the difference after these high quality CREATIVE 2.0 demonstrations? Will the console Creative 1.0 builders, just patiently wait until some kind of CREATIVE 2.0 shows up for us, in weeks, months or years, or if ever? And I’m one console builder of many, that can’t afford to go out and buy a new powerful PC that can run this new CREATIVE 2.0! I guess it’s time to take a break… and make some decisions about my Fortnite Creative 1.0 map building future.
