This was great! The panic at the beginning and the screaming at the end were really fun to watch.

Well done VLDL boys and girls, this is the best one yet. I truly can not see the point of Death by Daylight as a game, it seems endlessly repetitive without much of a story which is why I love the DBD skits the best. You expose the cold hard truth - the game is completely pointless. It was great to see Rowan streaming something new this evening. High five !!!!

Every game is pointless and every competetive multiplayer game is repetetive to some degree, and most of them don't have a story either.

Myers pairs well with lightborn perk both in lore and in game. Because it allows him to stare into your soul somemore while you wave him with your light.

Fun fact, it's not a stun but a blind, they can still fluff you while blinded. Trust me, I've done and had it done to me enough times... XD But as always, loved it, these DBD skits hits so close to home it's hilarious.

Is that some kind of new flashlight resistance perk? Been a while since I played and I assumed it was cause he was waving the flashlight instead of keeping it pointed directly at the killer’s face.

@Death2all546 Lightborn is a perk that has existed since the game released and is one of Hillbilly's teachable perks. It currently makes you immune to being blinded by flashlights at all and you can just stare right into them without losing vision.

It also reveals the person that flashlight you for a couple seconds.

Doesn't actually need to be a flashlight, any source of blinding is ineffective and reveals the would be blinder's aura for up to 10 seconds

Nice speech, I kind of was expecting it to end with Rowan being cut down, but glad he got to do the flash-light trick. Am a little surprised it didn't work given Rowan's usual luck in most skits.

I would love to see a similar scene play out but with Ben explaining to Rowan to calm down and that flashlights actually do work. Similar to the trope they used when Ben was punching tires out in PUBG

i was actually expecting a killer with no eyes just for the jokes of it that you can actually blind a killer like piramid head or demagorgon which clearly don't have eyes to blind with a flashlight i hope they put that on another episode i can't wait to see more

That speech is pretty much how I try to hype myself up if I'm going into a tough area of a game, especially if I've been repeatedly dying. It usually goes about as well too. Excellent vid and I love everyone's expressions and reactions.

As a killer I always loved people being too cocky with their flashlights. The moment they pulled it out, I just faced the floor and kept moving. They tended to stop moving, not realising I wasn't looking at the flashlight and then I got them.

I was expecting, in the middle of Rowan motivational speech, some kind of: "That hammer was RIGHTFULLY mine!" 😂 Good job and good luck with your amazing work guys! 👍

The funny thing is that an ultrabright flashlight is actually a REALLY good self defence tool - even in daylight (unless you're dead by then............... I'll see myself out....)

tip for those saying the flashlight is hard: use it when the killer is breaking a pallet, or vaulting a window. its best to wait for the killer to commit to an action that has that an animation around that length. the trick then is to just be patient and wait, dont wave it around. Just point it at the face and wait. Some add-ons increase the width of the beam to make this easier to do, others make the blind last longer, or increase the duration of the flashlight usage. now, going for a flashlight save is different. there is a specific point in the "pick up" animation when the killer has the survivor by their knees, and thats when you wanna point the flashlight and hold it. you want it to blind them just after they leave the animation, but before theyre in full control of the killer again. its only during the "carrying" phase that the blind will cause them to drop your team mate. and all of this just takes practice. if you really wanna be better at it, start bringing flashlights and trying it. its that simple. remember that add ons can help you in the beginning but its better to bring a low rarity flashlight and just try it because you wont be able to reliably get better by using add ons.

@Barnaclebeard it’s funny you say that, because reading through comments on this - and other - vid(s), I often see it remarked that the skit didn’t go where the viewer expected. So, I think it’s fair to say they don’t always go for the most obvious outcome. But when your series is based on lampooning the logic of a known video games series (or standard tropes of similar type/genre games) … some level of predictability is definitely to be expected.

@Barnaclebeard I mean, yeah, if you played the games they make skits on it's likely you can predict where the skit is heading. But they execute it really well.
