It’s hard to say he tricked his opponent. Mikhail just performed a scummy tactic to make the fight boring, Konstantin knew he couldn’t legally kick him and refrained for the first 2 rounds. This technically counted as a loss for Konstantin and it was never reversed but it’s hardly a loss when you look at the follow up. Mikhail would never professionally fight again after this fight, despite having a record of 3-0, presumably because he couldn’t get his contract extended after this stunt. Konstantin got a massive applause after the kick, and went on to have a very long and successful career becoming a heavyweight champion. Moral of the story is the fighter that got “tricked” definitely got the better end of the results of the fight.

He may have won the fight but he lost any respect in the field and future prospects AND got knocked out. He would have been much better off taking a normal loss.
