In reference of time, if you will increase the magnitude of time then the final velocity will be zero. To be more clear, please keep final velocity=0 m/s, initial velocity=5 m/s [as per video] and acceleration =-10 m/s^2. Then, the time you got is the time taken by the ball to reach the maximum height. And for upward direction, the final velocity is 0 only if it has travelled the maximum distance.
