Elden ring is legitimately one of the best games ever made, not just the best of 2022. Played 4 times myself, and it's absolutely stunning every single playthrough

legit. When it came out all I could think about was Elden Ring. Fromsoftware is goat.

People frequently complain about the size and repeated bosses, but it still has the highest number of unique bosses in any Fromsoft game by a decent margin. The size as well gives you so much room to vary what you choose to do on repeat playthroughs. Build diversity is strong, spells are better and more varied than ever, and the landscapes are just a treat to look at. The land is so big that there are things I discovered on my first playthrough that I haven't found again on repeat playthroughs. It's an absolute gem of a game and I'll continue playing it for years to come. Now give me Bloodborne on PC

I went buck wild & beat it 3 times, but haven't touched it since. I'll probably wait til the dlc drops & then do a whole 'nother playthrough now that they've fixed a bunch of stuff (like bugs causing talismans to not work as intended) & balancing. @King Luigi It's still an achievement. It marks the step from a proposed new venture to an actual publisher. Even if the game ends up sucking, which I'm sure it won't, this announcement is worthy of congratulations.

@King Luigi You make good points, but ultimately the answer lies in details we do not know. How much additional publicity and exposure can Bigmode offer? How much did the deal cost? How close are the publisher and the developer? Ultimately, they both agreed on the deal, so evidently they both think they're getting something good from it. And I know you probably didn't intend it that way, but your comments also come across as somewhat bad faith attacks. This is a small indie publisher announcing its first title, a small indie developer's first game. Not only does the game itself look extremely promising, but the main thing to celebrate here is independent producers making something fully outside of the cursed, soulless oligarchy that is contemporary mainstream publishing. That's a win in my book. Even if the game doesn't do as well as we might hope - which I highly doubt because it looks excellent - this is still an awesome first step for what we can reasonably expect to become a very solid independent publisher - not least since it's the passion project of our favourite Youtuber in whose comment section we are presently gathered!

I'm glad you like the Yakuza games! Personally Yakuza 5 is my favorite in the series just because of how BIG it is. Five playable players in five different cities, each with their own side hustle.

Dunkey, I've loved your content since League but when you started to do those serious reviews, that's when I started to respect you, and you've only grown and gotten better in the years since. I have no money to give, but I have words and whatever influence I've generated among those around me and dude, even my 70+ year old parents know why believe in you. Animal well reminds me a lot of the style in Moonlight I believe it's called and that one was a great indie ultra short game, so I can't wait to see a more expansive take on such sweet style!
