My heart sank. People who don’t watch mma would say who cares? We watch these guys progress and give their ALL for years for our entertainment. It’s bittersweet. Like watching your child grow up and move out. I feel some of these fighters are as close as family to me despite never knowing them irl. The day max Holloway retires will devastate me.

Hats off to cowboy. He’s a vet who’s always gave his best and while he was never champion he always knew how to take a loss like a one and showed the heart of a champion, has had some stunning K.Os spectacle performances and his fair share of brawls. He’ll always be one of the peoples champions regardless of his short comings he’s always had the respect and love of the fans. We love you cowboy and I know MMA fans will follow you wherever u decide to go. So bittersweet.

I watched this live and it was just such a surreal moment. I started watching him at the highlight of his career and it's just crazy. This man has fought many battles and won many battles as well as lost many battles. But at the end of the day he has that true humbleness and sportsmanship about him that will make not only this post interview but him in general one of the most respected in UFC history. Donald Cerrone paid his dues and put in his work. He knows it's time for this journey to move on. Like he said he doesn't love the fight game nomore. His passion has faded from it and wants to do new things nothin but respect to that. God bless Donald Cerrone I enjoyed watching you in your UFC career. Take care brother🙏

I couldn’t help but shed a tear and clap. This man gave us so many years of violence and entertainment. I remember back in 2015 when cowboy said he’ll retire when he’s in a wheelchair and Dana will have to force him. That seemed like yesterday, he looked pretty good in this fight even though he lost. Im glad he got to go out on his own terms. Thank you cowboy for all the memories 🤠

Vor yearSouless Shadow
Big respect to Donald and his career. I grew up watching guys like Cowboy fight in that octagon, and I'm glad that he's able to go out on his own terms when he's ready to do it. Also big props to Miller who put off his interview with Joe so that Cowboy could have his moment. That was really cool of miller to do for him. As someone else said, when Joe looked at Donald and asked him if he was doing this my heart dropped because I had a feeling this was it. When he took off the cowboy hat and gloves and laid them in the ring I was sad but I'm glad this is on his terms and not under different circumstances like health related or something.

Vor yearJoey Central
@Mario Martinez Disagree. Making movies absolutely sucks. I know since I was in that industry myself...
Vor yearMario Martinez
@Joey Central I ain’t talking about the movies . I’m talking about his mma career . Besides if he decides he wants to do movies its by choice because he has made enough money throughout his career to never work again if he wanted . Congrats on your Career Mr. Cerrone! You are an Absolute WARRIOR and You can Retire holding your Head HIGH! Even if you went out on a Loss there TRULY is No Loss! You have Won the hearts and Respect of so many people including MMA fans on so many Levels that You still retire a WINNER! Mainly your ability to step up to any fighter at take fights on such short notice with little to no recovery between Fights. (That fact alone is a Record you will always Hold.) But you did it with class while keeping a humble but confident attitude, which makes you the Fighter everyone was always rooting for. Yes we all hate to see you go... But Us fans are Beyond Grateful for ALL the entertaining fights you have provided us with over the years. As well as the inspiration You have giving to so many others. Its YOUR TIME NOW My Friend.
