I love redemption stories and this year has turned into one for Novak. After being vilified earlier this year with the whole Australian Open ordeal and not being allowed to play other tournaments, it is incredibly satisfying to see him holding the year end trophy and earning that fat paycheck. As a coach I use Djokovic as the perfect example of a tennis player. He has perfected physical conditioning, stroke mechanics, footwork, and mental attitude. Covid measures made sense the first year, as we didn't know what to expect from the illness and the vaccine.
