Nice use of hybrid design in several areas! Also noticed some SOTA structural design. I was wondering how much aerodynamic testing is done before prototyping, i.e. sufficient lift, drag reduction, stabilization? Haven't flown it yet, but the fact that it still runs its controls through an ipad... 90% sure its going to have control software issues like any other DJI product we run. Looks like a killer drone though hope they fix their issues by the time we fly.

Just when I thought that i had the right stuff for Professional aerial filming after purchasing a DJI inspire, they come up with a new piece of equipment much better than the inspire. This is ridiculous.

The free fly 8 will never be able to get the upper hand on any DJI drone, simply because of the software that DJI has incorporated into their hardware. Ranging from their intelligent flight batteries to their seamless tablet applications, it is very easy to see that DJI has the upper hand in the drone market. Free fly's biggest mistake was not making better applications for their drone.

+Japi Sandhu I have over 16 hours with the P4 and Litchi currently, and haven't had the slightest issue doing automomous flights.:)

In my opinion there will always be issues in the beginning, for example the DJI's automated system can be very dangerous if anything goes wrong because a pilot that is used to flying on gps mode may not be able to maneuver out of a dangerous situation without the gps mode. DJI's application and autonomous features are still a little buggy but the longer the system is out the more they are able to perfect it because of the thousands of users giving them statistics and input. 

+Japi Sandhu Plus all the issues and recall they had at the start. The 600, like the P4 are game changers.:)

You’d expect a piece of high end pro filming equipment like that to cost over 10 grand, but I guess they’re not Red.

Price even dropped more by now... here in the Netherlands, it's already on 2400 euro, ok without camera, but.... seeing the stuff that's onboard, Lightbridge, new motors, A3 ... I think I can't even make it myself (with an old S900 for example... lightbridge alone costs around 1000 bucks)

Lol everybody here whining about the battery life. It's completely understandable😂 It's a 30 pound helicopter of course it's gonna need tons of power. And it's for film makers if you're making a production, adding a few hundred dollars to your budget for some extra batteries to keep your already over 20 thousand dollar rig in the air shouldn't be a problem.
