Lions were very competitive for awhile. They seemed to have the Boys defense confused on many plays with Receiver/TE wide open with running room after. Wright/TE had 1 catch for season coming in, but had at least (4) catches with room to run after.

THIS is in my opinion a classic example of a game which is still _very_ fun to watch *despite* already knowing the final score. Maybe I'm looking too deep into this (fair enough!) but I *really* appreciated the back and forth brief display of good sportsmanship. First quarter when the Cowboys were at 2nd & 4 close to the 10 yard line? #78 helping a member of the Lions up, later on a Lions team member doing the same for the Cowboys... I can enjoy such moments. Sure, the Lions lost. But omg their defense. Pushing the Cowboys back 10 yards? Preventing a touchdown despite being 4yards near the 10yard line, very close to goal? I'm definitely no expert, just passionate, but from my POV the Lions have nothing to be ashamed off here where defense is concerned. The game also made me grin a little... Cowboys got flags for false starting the game, the Lions for delaying the game ;) All in all this was a really fun game to watch!

As a life long lions fan, I am very used to them losing, losing in spectacular ways, and losing at the last minute. There was something very fishy about this game. Lions outplayed Dallas most of the game. No replay on a turnover, it's automatic under nfl rules. Lions coach rushes a play at the goal line instead of challenging the play before when the TE knocked over the pylon. (He was down short but ANY coach would have challenged that, it was too close.

Detroit has the #4 offense in the nfl. Dallas has the #27. Detroit has the #32 defense in the nfl. Dallas has the 6th. Yet Detroit is 1-5 and Dallas is 5-2… amazing how big a difference the defense makes.
