Juices? You mean liquid lard!! I cook mid in the oven on a grill that fits into a large cookie sheet. I don't use a rub but I use an excellent BBQ sauce top and bottom. Sonny's smoked sauce. Temp at 300. Low and slow. I turn them about every thirty minutes adding sauce to the top. They cook in about three hours. I cook up about five or six racks, cut them up, place them in a large roasting pan with lid on and back into the oven at about 125 deg. Let them stay about an hour. Also, I line the roasting pan with bread to soak up any grease. Serve with fried corn, homemade Cole slaw, cornbread muffins and ice tea. The ribs are so good they will make you slap your ma down. Its great being southern.

So these are: "Apartment Ribs" or "Tavern Ribs" Sub 1/2 the salt with smoked salt and do the same with 1/2 paprika and smoked paprika. Can also use a bit of chipotle powder too. But what you are doing is an oven braised rib.

tried this recipe last night and it came out great! St. Louis style is the way to go for sure. I substituted dry mustard with garlic powder & thyme and added Sriracha ketchup to the BBQ sauce mix.

The best "oven baked ribs". BBQ= smoked low and slow not this method which uses the sauce to cover the meat. They still probably taste ok, but you can't duplicate the smoked flavor. Plus you left the membrane on.

I wouldn't call these bbq ribs since for it you be bbq you have to cook slow and slow in a smokey environment (often created with wood). That said i bet these are still good, but they wont have that true bbq flavor. Because that requires you to go the full mile. These are just oven baked ribs which are seared on a grill. Which honestly if you want to go this route you might as well sous vide the ribs, which will just give you a better end product compared to whats shown here.
