As a lore player, he’s the best character that have come out so far for me. So interesting and mysterious, and his existence hints to something so much deeper. We’ve got crumbs of deeper lore before, but he kinda feels like it but solidified.

@@dumbtch-lk5yr yeah i think the letter was from Focalors but the voice that speaks in the teaser is Furina(you can notice it by intonation. Focalors voice is more mature than the voice we hear here. the voice we hear here is normal Furina voice). Also at the end of his story quest we see Furina's letter that tells him to go outside and get to know people more, she says that she has told him that 100 times and her line that starts with "you will see much in the human world from delightful to the depressing" is also similar to what Focalors wanted. They are kind of the same person so it makes sense for their thought process to be similar.

I just started playing Genshin last week. The quality of this game and how much there is to do is what I love. The music and art are beautiful. Of course the voice acting. And I'm old school I can admit I think the catgirl thing is cute. But also some of the dialogue with Paimon is friggin hilarious. 10/10 would play again.

Lowkey best way to play genshin although missing some limited time events how much pure content that's in the game that you can work thru will pretty much let you have always something to do , I started playing again after only completing the first region around when it first came out I started playing against a little under 6 months about and I still have so much to do , I'm still working on older regions to this day and have a ton of character story quests to do and like every hangout event.

If people actually went out of their way to do everything, they have a long, long time.

So, as I understand the lore, Rhinedottir created the abyssal dragons Durin and Elynas, who seemingly only wanted to play on the surface but their power was so devastating that they sowed chaos and destruction wherever they went. Also, before the Archon War, there were seven dragon sovereigns ruling the seven areas of Teyvat that would later become the nations. Each dragon had elemental power, and the king of all dragons could wield all seven elements. Dvalin is a baby from the previous Anemo Dragon Sovereign, and so Dvalin would inherit that position were it not for the archons. Was Durin meant to challenge Dvalin’s seat of power as Mondstadt’s dragon overlord? And was Elynas created to replace the former Hydro Dragon Sovereign? We have a solid hunch that Neuvillette is a reincarnation of sorts for the Hydro Dragon Sovereign, but would that make him sorta related in a roundabout way to Elynas? Elynas is also the father of the Melusines, since the fight inside the corpse of Elynas produced an explosion of energy that mingled with Elynas’s biology and popped out the entire race of Melusines. If what assumptions I’ve made about the abyssal dragons created by Rhinedottir are false, I’ll update this with correct info and new theories. All of this to say that I think that’s why Neuvillette is so connected to the Melusines.

Where can I read this particular lore? So interesting!

@@rafdisaifan7323 The parts about Elynas can be played through by starting and completing from a world quest on Elynas where you save a painter Melusine from Sumeru thugs. It also has ties in to the huge web that is the Narzissenkreuz Ordo lore, and we learn there's even darker secrets BEYOND the Abyss, which the Abyss is just a pale reflection of.

I think Neuvilette just sees a lot of himself in the Melusines. Both are more or less children of dragons that want to get along with humans in society even if they can't always understand them.

this whole teaser is absolutely amazing,the calming yet melancholic vibe fits neuvillette so much, I hope we get more of his story (fortunately this will most likely happen in the archon quest too) That voice though, it feels similar to furina's only that it's calmer— but I still think that it's not her but from another person, maybe the former hydro archon

When I first saw this guy in the teaser reprimanding Furina, I thought he was going to be a super one-note character. But then his very first scene in the archon quest was the one in the opera where we’re awkwardly trying to say hello to him, and it humanized him and it was such a good intro to his character BEFORE seeing him as chief justice. And after what happened in act two (especially with the rain!) he became one of my favorite Genshin characters I love him so much Anyway, I hope he comes home upon his release, because I might not have enough primos and I don’t know how far away a rerun would be. Before Fontaine came out I thought he was going to be a cranky old man but he actually is a very sweet easy going guy, hoyo is great at making personalities

Ganyu's entire personality is just work, while xiao and zhongli get to have their backstories weigh on their character towards the viewer's perception. At the very first trailer of Fontaine, I didn't really like him but after 4.0 came out I became really interested in him. Good job HYV in fleshing out his personality really well in the story! I might get him next week!

Neuvilette just became my 2nd favorite character! But I love how in this story animation it brings a sense of wonder, of mystery, a lure for us to keep watching and matching his calm demeanor and showing different perspectives of his yearning to understand life. I always unconsciously monitor others' behaviors and reactions in order to know how I feel about certain situations. Sometimes I don't quite understand what I am feeling so observing others' emotions really help alot. Neuvillette has been a really relatable character to me, but this teaser makes me love him even more now. I'm so hype for his story quest.

Out of most characters I feel like Neuvillette’s personality is the most unique, he seems like a cold hearted judge but in reality he actually has a soft side for most things

Just as he said in this trailer, he lost a good portion of his memories. He will get them back. So we don't really know how his personality will be after he gets back his memories.

I do agree. After first trailer I though he gonna be that serious cold character, the Judge with no compromises, but then I encounter him first time in a game and was like "He is really like that?" And cause of that I immediately start liking him

Personally I think that they ruined his personality with how he’s presented. What should be a very interesting character about what a good person has to do for the sake of justice just boiled down to “he’s so misunderstood” I found it really annoying to see him and all the trailers of him just make me feel like I’m meant to like this guy too much, without much reason to actually like him. I feel like they stripped away a potential great plot line of having to understand the purpose of justice instead we just have a friendly character who can do no wrong. It’s too likeable for a judge.

Nuevillette has a VERY intriguing character. He has the front of someone who seems like he would be cold and callous. But when you actually meet him… he’s the polar opposite. Sure, he struggles to understand others and himself. But when he’s in the courtroom, he knows what he’s doing. He does care for people, he just doesn’t know how to show it. He’s also fond of the Melusine, and it’s emphasized a lot more here when he gives a small smile at the Melusine in this trailer. I went into Fontaine expecting not to like Nuevillette. But I actually quite enjoyed him by the end of the first act of Fontaine. Thanks for bringing an awesome character to life ❤❤

The early trailers/previews of Fontaine did a goud job of showing what his demeanor looks like from the outside, as he seems kind of cold ahnd callous amongst the funky justice system that was eluded to early on. Then once you see him actually interacting with others in a professional roll ahnd adjacent to it in slightly more personal contexts, you see his complicated character, ahnd it feels relatable, intriguing, ahnd original amongst other character types. I'm very impressed with Mihoyo making original characters, that are sometimes similar to some character tropes you see in anime, but they branch off into nuanced original peeps that are nuanced ahnd enticing. So freakin' proud to be apart of this game l:)

He has stolen my heart and, honestly, I don't mind if he keeps it. ❤

Neuvillette's description of his reflection is quite poetic. This just makes him a more interesting character we want to know more about.

The more I see of this character the more my curiosity is piqued. I havent wanted a character so much since.... Zhongli.

I don't think I will ever understand why the music composers of genshin are this good , I mean the game lives up to it but the way hoyos masterpieces are better then some actual 1700s musicians is astounding . I am aware that technology has changed from then and more experimental pieces are being worked on , yet I feel as the soundtrack is being disregard and the artists not glorified enough . With they can show off their talents more once the games finish ! I mean just listen to the atmospheric changed this gives 1:12 !

Neuv. exudes the terms "Dapper" & " Nobility" by just existing, this is a man who understands how to present himself amongst the people and the court. This is the type of Judge that earns the Escanor nod of approval, and the Chuck Norris Grunt of Respect.

someone correct me if i'm wrong, but i think hyv has been working more and more on improving their animated sequences with supportive AI. it's really evident in honkai star rail and has been spoken about publicly. this trailer clearly has a ton of human artistry put in, but i wonder if there is another element at play because it feels ever so much more polished

Neuv follows reason, he isn't intetested in being overly petty or mean just because of a sense of superiority. I think this personality rly suits his calm character.

@@deliadeross2986 nope this is actually better, in complimentary with current Furina's personality (if she has two), in the court he is still professional of his job while outside of the court is gentle and approachable. I find it interesting that he is kinda opposite of Childe, Neuv is so powerful yet humble and only shows his power when neccessary, unlike Childe who is always looking for fight (like a kid), brag so much about "borrowed power" (delusion/abyss?) yet 11th in ranking (last) in harbinger.

@@deliadeross2986 The reason I prefer him like this is because hoyoverse already has so many characters fitting this trope to a T, so at least he's a breath of (very) refreshing air. More importantly, he's babygirl.

I have to admit that among all Fontaine's characters, Neuvillette is the one with the most elegant and outstanding appearance of the bunch, and is also voiced by famous VAs like Kamiya Hiroshi in charge of the voice Japan. Good luck to those who want him!

I love Hiroshi Kamiya but I felt like he didn't even gave effort in voicing Neuvillette cause he seems so gentle in JP and literally expected him to pull off a Levi or Trafalgar vibe. EN is definitely better this time in Fontaine, also Furina.

@@mindflayer2651 Also, his deeper voice in EN suits him better, kinda like EN Zhongli. I always wanted Kamiya Hiroshi to voice Dottore instead, when we only knew the younger, crazier Dottore from the manga.

for some reason i feel like the voice doesn't fit him... it's too small to fit him 😂 especially to those people who firstly recognize him as Levi Aye haters are gonna cope

@@mindflayer2651 i disagree tho, i think it sounds more emotionless than EN which is perfect since neuvillette is unable to understand and express his feelings. but i do agree that it maybe too soft... that kind of voice suits characters like ayato or baizhu better. if only we could get the combination of chase's deepness and kamiya's flatness, that would be perfect

I think his EN VA gives immense justice to his solemn character.

Neuvillette me recuerda a la novela Metaforfosis, pero con la diferencia que él se volvió humano. Es que imaginen, eres un ser enorme (un dragón en el caso de él), morir y luego cuando despiertas estás en un cuerpo extraño y pequeño.
