@Eric Harper "work on attaining critical thinking skills" 🤓 If imma be completely honest the original comment was an experiment to see if commenting early (sub one minute after the vid was posted) and referring to a random clip in a ddoi vid was all I needed for a ton of likes. I did know it was probably scripted but I put a generic comment that loads could agree with even if not entirely accurate. I'm not stupid. 5.3k likes ain't bad if I say so myself.

I think one day you'll realize that authority is like a monster that appears to have good intentions and protects the people from other monsters until one day YOU get chosen to be the sacrifice and the monster you thought was your benevolent protector suddenly becomes your insidious butcher but even if you escape no one will ever believe you. I've never been arrested in my life because I never attracted any attention to myself but I've seen that people ALWAYS abuse the authority their given, from incompetent adults when I was a child to officers that frame, threaten and manipulate people they don't like, to incompetent managers who abuse everyone and then relish in using their tiny insignificant authority to shield themselves from the consequences. Either only the malicious and sinister chase authority or authority has a way of making whoever holds it a shit person but either way authority isn't your friend, it's an enemy that hasn't decided to attack you yet because it's busy attacking somebody else.

@Jack Jones yeah, I was just sympathizing with a retail worker. I haven't worked retail since I was in my twenties, so I've grown up a bit. My commercial customers all work with contracts and deal with regulations in North America, Europe and sometimes South America. Most of my customers valued my work and sometimes called me for engineering advice. In my current role, I'm pretty isolated from customers. It is strange. But I was just remembering how my boss reacted. After that, he gave me the food on the table speech. He also used the 'customer is king' expression. My Dad was a machinist but broke away from that to sell life insurance for many years. Since the profit in that dropped out, he worked in retail for the last seven years of his career, mostly for Sears selling appliances. I respected him for doing it and he seemed to like it. He didn't complain much about retail customers and always was careful to do right by them. There, however, the company was always bilking a profit at his expense. When there was no foot traffic, he would get paid minimum wage, but would need to pay that back after he started selling again. Since my dad is always one to purchase extended warranties himself, he always pushed them on others. When I bought a fridge from him, I also bought the warranty, which panned out well because the model had expensive repairs. The company, when sales were low, would hire a bunch of new people to flood the floor. They didn't want to miss a single sale. But that caused months of minimum wage work for all of them and most would eventually get fired. It was an abusive situation. I'm glad my dad retired from that. He drove Uber for six months, but that's nearly a scam for anyone whose not working 50+ hours especially on the weekend. He drove a limo for a couple of years, which was okay for him. All in all my dad was tolerant of retail customers, something I admire.

@Dennis Fox Complain all you want, but customers are the reason you get food on your table. In the future, restaurant/retail workers will be almost completely replaced by automation. Consumer is king.

When I was young I walked in on my boss taking on the phone. He seemed to be at the end of a call with a customer. "Yes sir. I understand. I completely agree. Yes sir. Thank you so much for calling me. Yes, I'll do the best I can. Yes sir. Thanks again. Yes sir. Thanks so much." Then he proceeded to gently put the phone on the receiver. Then he picked it up again and put it down harder. Then he picked it up and smashed it down hard enough and enough times that the whole office came to see what was the commotion. He was yelling at the phone, "I HATE FUCKIN CUSTOMERS, I HATE 'EM. FUCKIN CUSTOMERS!" Well, I just slinked back out of the office and went somewhere I could laugh my ass off. I totally understand how frustrating customers are, especially these days where, because of courtesy by businesses, we now have a nation of freeloading entitled beatniks, lol. "Punish customers" is an interesting phrase. Very interesting.

I was watching a bunch of technoblade stuff including the goodbye video and although I didn’t watch him much I watched enough to learn he was a good person and just one of the greater kind of people in life, I kept asking myself "why do bad things happen to such good people" and I cried a ton but this video cheered me up more than I could ever imagine, thank you!
