Great video as always! Someone asked if you ever tried X-Plane. If you haven't already, I suggest you check out flightdeck2sim's channel here on YouTube. He's an airline captain and a former instructor on the 737 NG. He's enjoying X-Plane a lot! And especially a freeware 737-800 model made by a guy calling himself Zibo. Flightdeck2sim is part of that project where he gives advice on how the systems and the aircraft in general should work and behave to be as close to the real aircraft as possible. Definitely check his channel out, I think you would enjoy it!

I have seen a few plane crash reenactments on youtube and it seems once the pilot calls mayday, atc wants to know fuel left, souls on board etc. The pilot always needs to waste time ascertaining souls on board. Wouldn’t it be good policy for the stewardess to let the pilot know prior to take off so he can scribble down so he has it if he needs it.

You get the flight training at a flight school, and you can freely choose your flight school. Second option is to apply for a cadet program which some airlines have, but there are many applicants, so it may be hard to get into the cadet program. You can also try to get into the Air Force and get the training there, but usually you have to sign a contract to stay there about 10-12 years before you can resign and create a new career as an airline pilot.

That website seems to show the same info as Flightradar24. The location of the aircraft is based on real time flight tracking, so all these aircraft are in reality flying the route we can see on the map of the website. They are real flights in real time.

Pushing the nose down recovers the stall because a fixed wing aircraft is shaped to fly if it has the airspeed. Gravity will cause motion, right? A helicopter that loses all power doesn’t have fixed wings. U can imagine gravity and a heli at 10K feet without power (or pilot). It would fall to the ground at the speed of gravity. A plane without power with the nose pitched up would fall too if the pitch was not corrected. But pitch the nose down and it gains airspeed. Remember airspeed is what the fixed winged plane creates lift. An airplane pitched down will keep gaining airspeed (if engines are powered) and will eventually overspeed. It will fly so fast that the plane will eventually break up. There has been crashes where the pilot pulled up to correct a stall. Psychologists say that the pilot thought “I’m going down so I’m pulling up “. It happened to a commercial flight crossing the Atlantic when a frozen pit*** tube (forget name) but it measures airspeed and it kicked off autopilot and do to multiple other things happening (as almost every crash), the plane was at cruising altitude one minute and eventually smacked the ocean at very high speed on its belly, still pitched up. Saving that would only have required pitching down (and a few thousand feet). It is not a lack of power. Air has to pass over the wings to create lift. Increasing engine would help here. The angle of attack being corrected is how to “save” the aerodynamic stall

The aircraft will stall when the airspeed falls too low, and the aircraft's angle of attack is so steep, that the wings will lose their ability to produce lift. The aircraft will recover from a stall when the pilot will push the nose down and increases engine power. When the aircraft's airspeed increases the pilot can level the wings and pull up to return the aircraft to normal flight.

Great video as always! Someone asked if you ever tried X-Plane. If you haven't already, I suggest you check out flightdeck2sim's channel here on YouTube. He's an airline captain and a former instructor on the 737 NG. He's enjoying X-Plane a lot! And especially a freeware 737-800 model made by a guy calling himself Zibo. Flightdeck2sim is part of that project where he gives advice on how the systems and the aircraft in general should work and behave to be as close to the real aircraft as possible. Definitely check his channel out, I think you would enjoy it!

I have seen a few plane crash reenactments on youtube and it seems once the pilot calls mayday, atc wants to know fuel left, souls on board etc. The pilot always needs to waste time ascertaining souls on board. Wouldn’t it be good policy for the stewardess to let the pilot know prior to take off so he can scribble down so he has it if he needs it.

You get the flight training at a flight school, and you can freely choose your flight school. Second option is to apply for a cadet program which some airlines have, but there are many applicants, so it may be hard to get into the cadet program. You can also try to get into the Air Force and get the training there, but usually you have to sign a contract to stay there about 10-12 years before you can resign and create a new career as an airline pilot.

That website seems to show the same info as Flightradar24. The location of the aircraft is based on real time flight tracking, so all these aircraft are in reality flying the route we can see on the map of the website. They are real flights in real time.

Pushing the nose down recovers the stall because a fixed wing aircraft is shaped to fly if it has the airspeed. Gravity will cause motion, right? A helicopter that loses all power doesn’t have fixed wings. U can imagine gravity and a heli at 10K feet without power (or pilot). It would fall to the ground at the speed of gravity. A plane without power with the nose pitched up would fall too if the pitch was not corrected. But pitch the nose down and it gains airspeed. Remember airspeed is what the fixed winged plane creates lift. An airplane pitched down will keep gaining airspeed (if engines are powered) and will eventually overspeed. It will fly so fast that the plane will eventually break up. There has been crashes where the pilot pulled up to correct a stall. Psychologists say that the pilot thought “I’m going down so I’m pulling up “. It happened to a commercial flight crossing the Atlantic when a frozen pit*** tube (forget name) but it measures airspeed and it kicked off autopilot and do to multiple other things happening (as almost every crash), the plane was at cruising altitude one minute and eventually smacked the ocean at very high speed on its belly, still pitched up. Saving that would only have required pitching down (and a few thousand feet). It is not a lack of power. Air has to pass over the wings to create lift. Increasing engine would help here. The angle of attack being corrected is how to “save” the aerodynamic stall

The aircraft will stall when the airspeed falls too low, and the aircraft's angle of attack is so steep, that the wings will lose their ability to produce lift. The aircraft will recover from a stall when the pilot will push the nose down and increases engine power. When the aircraft's airspeed increases the pilot can level the wings and pull up to return the aircraft to normal flight.
