I don’t know if you realized but the reason your not getting rare candies from you zigzagoons because they are not level 20, in ruby and sapphire you can get candies without your zigzagoons being level 20 but in emerald the level cap exists

Wasn't focus sash an item in this gen? It saves you 1 turn with Shedinja.

The funny part is the only reason I see Steven as being undoable is because of Skarmory. If you did this run like you have some others and started with a nincada it could have learned dig before evolving it to shedinja making steven (minus Skarmory) doable. Just for the heck of it I'd have tried Hidden power just to see if you got lucky with a fire or electric Hidden Power. lvl 100 with that would be a maybe?
