ahah of yeah sure the EU is a neo liberal entity... say the most neo liberal country within xD If only the brittish were interested by their europeans partner, they would understand that they are more neo liberal than most of EU other countries, maybe behind Netherlands to be fair. You want to stop neoliberalism UK ? fine ! just ally with France, Spain, Italy, Greece and all the countries that are fundamentaly less liberal and more social in the EU parliament and the EU council ! because these are the instances in charge and deciding, driving the commission's decisions. Oh but wait no you can't have this influence now... because you're out... so sad. Maybe it could have been relevant to tell these young poeple the truth, being that UK was one of the major neo liberal promoter in EU. And by the way, EU will always have limits on neoliberalism, because for examplen the 2nd biggest country is France. quite far from a neoliberal country. So for healthcare for example, just try to replace their social system by private sector, just try. They will laugth a lot and never do so. Just to bad english people were never curious about how EU really work and what are the different positions and culture of other countries.

So much misinformation here: 1.) The EU doesn't lock countries into a neoliberal economic model. 2.) The EU has no legislation forcing the privatisation of the public sector. This was fake propaganda proven wrong. Germany, France, and more have nationalised public transport. We, the UK, have nationalised healthcare. And there's many more. 3.) We already have access to the wider-world. We can't get a better deal. And we have zero-tariff access to Africa already (the EU allows free investment / trade with the world's poorest).

Funny to think that the over 50s who voted massively for Brexit were themselves massively into "nice" politics, coal not dole, anti apartheid, anti Thatcher, and Reagan back when they were young. So if there's a ref in 30 years to rejoin europe thses kids will be the ones saying No!!

A very strange conception of democracy that repeated parliamentary elections are okay, but repeated referendums are not. And apparently these young people are not better informed about the EU than the rest of the Brexitards. They spread the same lies that the Leave campaign has spread.

Iam amazed by youth these days saying we are "powerless" and we are " unheard"...... loool 20 years ago or just 15 yeats ago, no one ever even gave them air time on tv for such debates..... these liberal brats should be greatfull keep quiet. In life, you need maturity of actual experience to make political government decisions, not just text book words n well spoken.

Thoughts in response: 1. Young women still either voluntarily defer to young men who speak over them or are just spoken over as if they werent there at all (and no-one calls the ,guys out on that bad behaviour). multiple examples in this. 2. Young black men are overlooked in favour of anyone white. (Young black man in front row wanted to make a point but wasnt called on) 3. "Once in a generation" but which generation?? Generation Farage/cameron/bojo or generation millenials? 4. The talking heads were dominating and really should not have been there, just let the 'average' (if there is such a phenomenon) young person speak their truths. We let adults do that even if we think they dont know much about the topic because we are interested to hear from them nonetheless. Young people deserve the same courtesy.

Lol... Really interesting to see how the uk implodes from the inside out. not that I have the ultimate solution, but the risk of no-deal is way too high and locking out the country from access of such a large market seems really risky. the people did vote though... uk must leave

I was expecting a completely different viewpoint from these young people but I was really impressed how they saw through the Remainer BS to focus on the facts. The girl saying we must have a new vote because she wasn't old enough to vote is just daft. If that were the case, we'd have to re-vote every vote we've ever had since the history of voting began in order to make sure every new 18 year old had the chance. To those people concerned they wouldn't be able to travel or study in other countries in the EU, I'd say, how on earth do Asian students study here in the UK? They're not part of the EU. How do people from the UK live and work in Australia? They get a visa and do it regardless of the fact they're not a part of the EU. You don't need to be a part of a political club in order for these things to happen. The rest of the world is your example that things function just fine.

It's no longer about remaining or leaving now it's about a deal or no deal.I think we need a hard Brexit with no deal which would allow us WTO rules or something like that. It is difficult for anyone to really know exactly the real truth and motivations behind things.i am shocked by how they got two world wars to create the EU as part of Capitalist domination of the Nations Cut loose from that stranglehold Jeremy Corbyn was against the EU but was forced to support remain.I lost interest in the Labour party and understand Communists National Socialists and Fabian Socialists don't seem to be on the side of the Christians but are more for Islam But to support Christianity don't mean people agree with Zionism which is another ideology of enslavement. It's all mixed up through propaganda infiltration of groups by traitors for example there was someone who was in the Waffen SS who had become an officer in the British Army high command on the planning of Market Garden in September 1944 which ten years later became the place for the first Builderburg Group meeting which eventually became the EU.

The point that the referendum was a bad idea is the whole nub of this bind. The issues surrounding leaving or staying are far too complex for a public vote and would never have been remotely understood. It remains a simple fact that if all the advantagers and dissadvantages of the existing arrangement were thoroughly known and a new direction thoroughly aired, we would have had a decisive majority one way or the other. We voted on a fantasy. Nothing more! Cameron as the young lady rightly observed, called the referendum for politoical expediency and had the shock of his life at the result. What kind of a government inflicts the burden of decision on a hapless electorate then washes its hands of any united course? They are criminally incompetent.

IMO, the fundamental problem is that the was no hard definition of what "Leave" meant in the 2016 ref. As the time following the vote has shown, Brexit is not one monolithic thing but a spectrum, with many degrees. At one extreme, you might have the UK operating under 3rd country status, and at the other, the UK leaves the EU but joins the EEA/EFTA and loses voting rights on rules the still have to follow with no changes to the four freedoms. If I had design the ref, rather than a "simple" In or Out, I would of added this halfway option. Full disclosure: I am a NZer so don't have a dog in this fight.

Yes China is investing in Africa on a major scale, but little do most of these people know that corrupt leaders are selling off land so the gentrification is not actually owned by Africans. Africans can’t even work on those said spaces so there is little to know job creation either. The same thing is happening in the Caribbean islands. Why is it that brexiters use examples of things they have no knowledge or understand. Don’t use Africa as a reference, you don’t know.
