I once got suspended from school for playing Hooky, even at 16 years old I found it funny how much the punishment did not fit the crime :) They also tried to tell me I couldn't leave school at lunch time to buy something at the Deli a short walk away, Im expected to act responsibly like an adult all the time so your sure as f#ck not going to treat me like a child when it suits you. This was the beginning of my realisation that I was not going to suffer power tripping fools easily and they were definitely going to hate me.....I was right! Authority isn't always earn't nor deserved and these are exactly the types that like to flex on others just because!

Love the animation and video. Sometimes playing hooky is needed but you do actually miss things. It gets harder to skip when you get into middle and high school because of the 6 classes of work you have. But it’s worth it sometimes.

When I was kid I played hooky from my Day Camp! I was 14 years old and they kicked me my friend Steven out of the teen ager group because during a class discussion we happen to mention that cigarette smoking, alcohol abuse and drug abuse were hazardous to a person's health. Well since the rest of the class was in favor of those things they took a vote and we were "demoted" and transferred to the group of 8 and 9 year olds (the 10 - 12 group was already overcrowded). The reason that was given to us was that we were immature. It was so humiliatingly!!! So rather than go on day trips with a group of little kids Stephen and I both did not show up to camp. I simply told my mother I did not feel well and stayed and watched "Leave It To Beaver". My best friend David had moved away so I had no one hang out with. That was the worst summer of my life!!!! P.S. The Teen Ager group that kicked me and Stephen out of their group was terminated when the Director of the Day Camp found them all in their home room doing drugs along with their Senior Camp Counselor!!!

My mum used to let us stay home if we threw up. One day I forced myself to throw up and excitedly walked up to her and said "I threw up. That means I get to stay home, right?" and that ended us being allowed to stay home when we threw up.

Ah, as a child I master the art of playing hooky.... The most important part is to not just wake up one morning and be sick no you have to plant the seed weeks ahead of time. A little cough here and little scratchy throat there. After a few days of that, you go to bed early than normal turn down things you like to do out of the blue. Then you zero in on the date you want to stay home and you sell it the night before with some coughing and whatnot and make sure your mom brings up being sick 1st and boom your chilling at home watching talk shows and playing video games this method never failed .
