I swear that movie is just so emotional even though there aren’t any words in it you can still feel everything he is going through

(Spoiler!) The story ends with spirit a live and free horse but the implications of the film (the eventual domestication of the wild mustangs and assimilation of native Americans) still persist. Assuming the film exists in the real world then the end message is that spirit and his herd, and little creek and his people are free today but the American militia (represented by the colonel) will eventually be back and will win the war. In that way spirit has both a happy and sad ending. Though I do think the sad ending will go over most children’s heads.

@Fluffy butt dude Spirit was literally voiced by Matt Damon. The horses don’t speak in the traditional sense though, just Spirit’s inner monologue as a voice over. Best childhood animated non-Disney movie by far!

She used to watch it everyday when we were kids and we found the old disk and we were grounded so we watched it a few times and my favorite song from it is in the credits so we just sat their for like 5 minutes waiting for that one song something about the sun and shit. Long story short my sis and I are 7 years apart I’m the eldest and we don’t share the same mom (my mom died) and her mom did everything in her power to get rid of me until I ran away at 16 last time I saw her she was 9.
