Loved the Jaybird X2. Lasted for years, even put them through the washing machine a couple of times. In the past 18 months I have had 2 pairs of tarah pro and a pair of X4. Jaybird customer service is awesome!! After the tarah pros died I got a new pair sent out immediately no questions asked. When they died I was out of warranty but they still sent me out the X4's. Unfortunately they also have battery issues - turn off and cant turn back on without reconnecting to the charging cradle. Gotta find a new brand, will check out the jabras - thanks for the review!!!!

I own a pair of Jaybird X3's, they sound great and I use them during my work out. Now I was looking at wireless headphones for my mother. She runs a lot, but I wouldn't recomment the X3's for running. the weight of the volume changer on the side is pretty heavy (in my opinion).

it's such a toss up when it comes down to it. I have the Jabra Elite 45e. Originally got them for sound cancelling features and the app it comes with. But decided to use them for cardio eventually. Well even with the wing tips and inner ear pieces for different fits. I find the right side tends to jog out of place within seconds. Doesn't help that the right side cable has the battery and also volume/mic as well. So it's added weight to the right side. Now I'm on the hunt for a set that can handle the jogging motion without moving.

A little late to the video, but a lot of amazon reviews rate the Jaybird pretty poorly based on reliability- peeling finish, battery not holding a charge after a couple months. In your experience, are they pretty reliable?

I have had nothing but issues with jaybird. Starting with the x3s I had the led quit working a month after I got them. Then it took me cutting them with scissors to get a replacement shipped two months later. I like rizos reviews so I just brushed it off as my bad luck.... Was very impressed by the Tarah pro review so I decided to get a pair two days ago... Wow guess what happens...I go to do my night run and they don't even power on... Yes they were charged and yes they were paired as I had used them the day before. I will never purchase another jaybird product to deal with their atrocious customer service.

66 Audio's BTS Pro headphones are my fav, I'm hooked. They hook on over your ear so they won't budge, and the battery lasts me like 35 hours off of one charge! I'm not joking I use them all the time and barely have to plug them in, plus theres an app (motioncontrol) which lets me amp up the bass!

TWENTY FIVE YEARS running and I’ve never had wireless much less “true wireless” earphones/buds, until two months ago; that being the JLab Epic Air Elites, coming from wire earphone sound I was disappointed, NO, I was DISTRAUGHT; I purchased them on Black Friday 2018 & I planned to introduce them to my RUNNING LIFE 2019 (like going from a Walkman to an iPod); needless to say, my run was absolutely torpedoed by this horrific sound experience; it sounded like wire earphones at HALF volume; so I’m therefore surprised, NO ASTONISHED to hear you rate them at 4:30 as “alternatives” (just maybe we have different sound expectations😀) to Jabra 65t. I was fortunate to have bought the JLab’s on sale, despite going beyond Best Buy’s “two week return policy”, I was able to sell them on eBay, and after selling fees, I got all of my funds back from the original purchase. So now, not being dissuaded from going wireless, (at least not yet) I’m considering the $200 Bose or the $189 Jabra 65t (sweat proof); and yes, I saw your review of the two; however, if you are saying in terms of sound quality, the JLab are tantamount to the Jabra 65t, & on your review of the “two”, you said the Jabra & Bose sound quality was a “wash”, it leaves me slightly bewildered 😳; however, I will not go on another run without making sure my equipment is satisfactory; like in the “Walkman” days, I carried an extra pair of AA batteries 😀. But, my first wireless experience, was like, being a virgin at age 15, but yet you got the game to get the finest high school senior in the whole state to come over, that’s eager, NO DESPERATE, to get it on with you, and soon as the action starts, you hear your mother’s 🔑 turning the lock😭.

Daryl Sablan Jaybird X3’s or run XT’s huh? I will indeed seek them out this upcoming week. Thank you my friend. I have vowed to not use a “phone” for workouts...I see it it as desecration of something solace & sacred; it sounds like someone looking for an excuse to be interrupted by the world, (however, running/training/hiking in remote places, I’d strongly advise bringing one for safety). I just bought me my third iPod, 6th generation (although virtually obsolete, still $200, that’s Apple for you 😀) I’ve been looking to pair it with high performance true wireless ear gear; so I’ll pursue your referral.

Vor year

Ready Now&Forever I tried the jabra elite 65t’s and I was not impressed. I returned them a week later and got the jaybird run XT’s. I did a firmware update as prompted and I am a fan of these true wireless earbuds. If you’re looking for loud, bassy earbuds that will give that extra push? Try the jaybird X3’s, or run XT’s. That jaybird app that accompanies these earbuds is top notch. If you have an Apple Watch you can pair them and leave your phone at home when you go for a local run.

I went through two pairs of the X3's. The first pair died within the first year, cutting in and out until they just stopped working. The second pair had connection issues too; cutting in and out all the time, to the point of being unbearable. Then the charge wouldn't hold, and then the little red LED on the remote wouldn't shut off. Then they wouldn't turn on anymore. I was slightly over the warranty, and Jaybird wouldn't replace them. Honestly, I was far too skeptical about getting another pair. However, I did end up purchasing the Anker Soundcore Spirit buds, and they are fantastic! I can truly recommend them, and they are a fraction of the price of the Jaybirds. They are also water resistant and have Bluetooth 5.0

I loved the sound and performance of the Jaybird X3s when they worked. After 8 months of use my first pair just stopped working out of nowhere, my replacement pair that they sent me under warranty lasted about a week before the same thing happened, and the third pair they replaced them with only lasted about two days. They offered to replace them again and even offered to upgrade me but I was not keen on it after 3 pair had failed me. They did refund my purchase but I had to get it through Western Union which was kind of a hassle. I loved these headphones, when they worked, but I am hesitant to try them again due to my history with them. Currently running with JBL Reflect Contour 2 and they function really well, but they definitely don't have to full sound quality that the Jaybird X3s did.

I had an awful experience with the jaybird X3 and had to return them on 4 separate occasions. Jabra Elite Sports with Comply form replacement tips. Jeff, I love your recommendations, but, U have got 2 try this combination ! Yes, the Comply tips on Amazon are $20.00 more, but, combining these two products have ended my search for wireless earphones. This combination adds another level of comfort while running that doesn’t cause that ear fatigue oftentimes you get with the form tips included. Yes, the Jabra Elite Sport with the Comply form tip’s will b more expensive, but your wireless running headphones search will be over. Thanks Jeff for guiding 2 the Jabra wireless products man !

For running i feel the cabled Bluetooth are the way to go. Since getting a pair of true wireless ones i miss the cable for storing around my neck when i am not using them. When i have finished a run or start chatting with someone, i want to get them out and know they are secure - such that i am not holding on to them... and not all running shorts have pockets. Mine do have an attachable cord, but i don't take that everywhere. Granted i haven't tried the 'passive pass through', so that could fix a lot of my concerns. But i think your full running experience need to appreciated and the cabled style are the way (just not the beats ones with the huge long cable ... that thing could get caught on tree branches!!) Also not all true wireless have volume control, i'm getting used to this, music is okay, but not all podcasts are created equal and some have quite different levels. The cabled pair i had were Meizu EP51, that had magnets in the ear pieces to clasp them together when not in ear. Battery was a good size so didn't impact balance of cable on neck. But they did miss some form of cable management. I think the jaybirds will be on the list!

The pair that I use is the Sony NWWS625. Standalone and Bluetooth if needed, 16gb storage capacity, pretty good passive sound isolation and has ambient sound mode if needed, some sweat/water resistant, and decent battery life. It’s a pity that it seems to be discontinued. That’s what happens I suppose.

Since the November I have a phone without an audio jack, since I've been using my old Hybrid Pro from Xiaomi (my phone is also from the same brand, Xiaomi Mi A2) with an adapter that brought the same phone in its box, whenever I went from my house to work, I used these wired headphones and they were always a nuisance when I took them out, put them on and take them off, then, a few days ago, I bought in a virtual store (MercadoLibre Colombia, I'm Colombian) a wireless Bluetooth in-ear headphones called SoundPeats Q34, at first I did not feel them, maybe because of the Hybrid Pro custom (they sound really spectacular, since they are HD and I download music files with 320kbps and 500kbps and plays them brilliantly) but with the passage of time, since I acquired them, I have already felt them and they sound great and without the discomfort of unraveling them, take them off, since they bring a magnet and they are beautifully hung on my neck and I did not necessarily buy them for sports but for not having to deal with untangling the cable of my Hybrid Pro. Greetings and cool review!😉👌🏻💯📱🎧🎵🎵🎵🍻
