This interview alone shows JJ’s ability to not only build long lasting relationships but also bring out the human side of these players. It’s so much easier to ask the difficult questions when theirs mutual respect.

Thank you JJ. I don't think Ben would have gave this interview to anybody else. You brought the best out in him you made him feel comfortable you were an ultimate professional. It's nice to see him with a little bit of confidence and smiling again I can't wait to see what kind of season he has

I thoroughly enjoyed this entire interview. Ben doesn't seem to be the bad guy the media and fans made him out to be all this time, people just don't like to wait to hear the other sides of stories. Wish him all the best in his NBA return.

This was an awesome and much needed talk with Ben Simmons. It is nice to have him able to speak his side of the story, clear up some total bs that got mixed in with whatever else happened. He seems like such a refreshing nice person. Someone who deserves a fresh start. That said, I think he will be great on the Nets, it is the best team he could have landed on. I'm really looking forward to seeing their games!

One of my favorite interviews ever, and I've been watching the NBA since 1991. I'm surprised by how wrong I was about Ben as a person.

This appearance from Ben was great, all we get as fans is the filtered crap from the mainstream media agendas and the on court moments. To get a genuine, real look at who these NBA players really are is awesome! Changed some opinions of mine about Ben!

As an Aussie, this was awesome to watch. Great to hear Ben speak about this so candidly and get a better understanding about his situation. Will do a lot of good for his public perception I think. Hope he commits and plays for the Boomers at the next Olympics 🙏

Ben seems like a cool guy in contrast to what the media and the fans or should i say the haters portay him to be, and also with his mental health situation, that’s tough. I’ll be rooting for him, I hope he gets better and gets the support and positivity around him, Wish you the best, Ben!

This interview is so good and I totally understand what Ben Simmons have been through. A lot of us experienced this kind of path but I can't imagine the difficulty to find the peace you need when it is public. No blame to Shaq and others who criticized him, like he said this is just ignorance and also a lack of empathy. But you have to know what it is personally to understand the difficulty and the complexity of that. I can't not wait to see one of my favorite player on the floor again and so happy to hear the wiseness he bring to the table here.
