Really liked the video - had a point and also a bit of humour too. My interpretation of the video is that we as a civilisation are carelessly trampling over the natural world, caught up in our own lives laughing and drinking unthinkingly as we go about destroying our planet. As the hunters turn on each other, i think of how not only are we destroying nature, but the future of our species too. The hunters are uncaring - they even laugh - as they destroy each other. This is not unlike the capitalistic, growth-at-all-costs mindset that pervades our society. As we get stuck in our world of social media and corporate jobs we forget how we're crippling the things that really matter - our very existence. Ben, in the role of observer-philosopher-poet, stands apart from the ridiculousness of the hunters. He has slowly tasked himself with digging what appears to be a grave - he is passive and reflective. Perhaps he is saying the only obvious path humanity is trudging along is one that leads to our reversion back to nature i.e. our destruction. This serves as a reminder that we, at a biological level, are also naught but dirt and are part of the natural world despite the way we instil in ourselves so much grandioseness and self-importance. Ben at the conclusion serenely embraces the natural world perhaps suggesting that in that direction lies some sort of resolution/escape.
